Baguio City has always been known as a major tourist destination and a hotspot for development mainly because the climate and the unique culture, both indigenous and modern, that thrives within the area. There is now a question whether the identity of the culture of Baguio City still exists amidst the saturation of contemporary ideas. With the existence of the past and the present, Baguio City stands in between both timelines. What makes Baguio architecture? G1 is a project that aims to leverage and possibly transcend this contemporary condition by making use of familiar local and borrowed ideas and infuse it in an explorative creative process—that encourages critical thinking in the state of the culture and architecture in Baguio City—one that involves the abstraction of past forms present in the local culture as an attempt to create new forms that will redefine its architecture.
The interior of the hotel was designed with the idea of modernizing Cordillera architecture and interiors, deviating from literal translations of past forms and patterns just what has been generally practiced in the past. The execution of this idea led to the abstraction of indigenous forms with the use of local construction and artisan techniques and materials.
The hotel lobby showcases an undulating ceiling that represents an inversion of the Cordillera terrain while a portion of lobby interior walls serves as both an extension and a contrasting element of the exterior and the lobby interior.

CHECK-IN POLICY
• Check-in time: 2:00PM
• Check-out time: 12:00NN
• Please present your government issued ID upon check-in. By Law, visitors must present personal documents for hotel records only.
• Request for early check-in and/or late check-out is subject to the prevailing occupancy of the Hotel.
• 50% surcharge based on room rate for extensions until 4:00 PM.
• Full rate shall be charged for extension after 4:00 PM.
• Children below twelve (12) years old sharing a room and bed with parents shall be free of charge. Above the minimum capacity per room type shall
be charged PHP 1,500 for an extra person inclusive of an extra bed without breakfast.

NON-SMOKING POLICY
Smoking is not permitted inside and outside of G1Lodge. Evidence of violation will result in a Php 5,000 charge to the guest’s account for deep cleaning of the entire room is required.
HOTEL POLICY
• Guests are asked not to gather in the hallways as this often creates excessive noise which disturbs other guests.
• Keep guest room doors closed at all times to avoid noise disturbances.
• Each room is limited to the number of guests registered in the room at the time of check in.
• Consumption of food and beverages not purchased from the hotel is limited to your guest room only.
• Preparation of food in guest rooms by any type of cooking appliances, barbeques, or burners is strictly prohibited.
• Should housekeeping find any damages inside the room, in any way, a corresponding charge should be applied.
• Pets are not permitted on hotel property.
• Parents and guardians are personally and legally responsible for children at all times. Please do not leave children unattended in guest rooms or anywhere on hotel property.
• Roller shoes, roller blades and skateboards are not permitted in the hotel.
• No games (mini-sticks, etc.) are to be played in any area of the hotel.
If a complaint occurs due to the negligence of those occupying a guest room, disorderly conduct, unlawful activities, or repeated noise complaints, the offending guests may be evicted and/or receive additional charges to their account. If a guest is asked vacate, they are not entitled to any refund. If damages occur inside guest room or other areas of the hotel, the cost of the damage will be charged to the credit card registered upon check-in.
GUARANTEE POLICY
• Payment must be done 48 hours from the date of reservation. Payment may be through Bank Deposit.
• Hotel will not allow cancellation of guaranteed bookings nor will refund payment but will allow rebooking valid for one (1) year.
• Changing of reservation from peak season to lean season**
Guaranteed bookings are non-refundable. Excess payment due to room rate difference, maybe consumed (e.g. Extra beds, food and beverage at the Café).
• Changing of reservation from lean season to peak season**
Guests are required to pay room rate difference based from peak season rate.
• As per bank rules and regulations, card holder must be present for card on file to be charged.
REBOOKING POLICY
• Rebooking of reservation must be made 48 hours prior to guest’s arrival date.
NO SHOW POLICY
• Guests who do not arrive on the scheduled date of arrival will be charged the full amount of their reservation booked.
CANCELLATION POLICY
• Hotel will not allow cancellation of guaranteed bookings nor will refund payment but will allow rebooking valid for one (1) year.
PUBLIC HEALTH HOTEL GUEST CONFIRMATION
To assist us in providing for the health and safety of guests and employees at G1 Lodge, please confirm your agreement to the following:
•I understand that if I do develop any COVID-19 symptoms during my stay at the hotel, I must report these symptoms as soon as possible to the hotel reception.
•I understand that I will be required to undergo an antigen test immediately on my own expense.
•I understand that if I do not follow the above procedure, not only could this have serious public health implications to my fellow guests but the hotel also has the right to revoke the booking made.
•I can confirm that I have read and understood this document and my signature is binding for all the persons listed above.
