Property and Cancelation Policies :
CANCELLATION / NO SHOW / REBOOKING
- All bookings are non-refundable, but it is transferable. Fees must be settled to confirm the rebooking request.
- All requests must be done and confirmed via email: shorebreakhostel@gmail.com
- Cancellations made more than 15 days prior to arrival date may rebook their stay within the next 2 months with a 30% fee of
the total cost. - 8 to 14 days prior to arrival date may rebook their stay within the next 2 months with a 50% fee of the total cost.
- Less than 7 days prior to arrival date - payment is forfeited (no rebooking allowed)
- In case of early departure or no show, there will be no refund or rebooking offered.
- We do not issue refunds or rebooking for flight cancellations, due to any circumstances. Please take out Travel Insurance to protect against flight cancellations.
- There are no refunds or rebooking offered due to bad weather; including any inconvenience or complication caused by meteo events. There is no refund for global or local medical alerts and/or government or civil disruptions. In the event that government restrictions for travel in and out of La Union are in effect or there is an issued evacuation alert for a tropical storm, the nights occupied by the customer due to the event will be given a credit to be used within the next 3 months. Please take out Travel Insurance to protect against these types of unforeseen events.
- Shorebreak Hostel (SBH) is not liable for any costs, evacuation or inconveniences caused by bad weather.
Terms and Conditions
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT POLICIES
ARRIVAL
Our standard check-in time is after 2pm. If you arrive early, we can store your luggage so you can enjoy the beach while your room is getting ready. Early check-in is subject to room availability and subject to additional fees.If you plan to arrive later than 6pm we appreciate if you contact us prior to your arrival so we can make arrangements for the late check in and make sure that someone will be available to help you when you arrive.We do not have a 24-hour front desk service, but we have staff on duty 24 hours if you need assistance.Registered guests should be present and is required to present a valid ID. Guests 17 and below should be accompanied by an adult.Your allocated access card to your room and a/c remote will be handed to you upon check in. Penalty applies for lost or damaged items, please keep it safe!An incidental deposit of Php 500/head will be collected upon check-in. This will be refunded upon check out. ARRIVAL

DEPARTUREOur standard check-out time is before 11:30 am. If you require a later check-out, please inform the front desk before 10am on the day of departure and we will do our best to accommodate your request but are not guaranteed. Fees apply.Php 500 will be deducted from the deposit for late check out up to 30 min, 30% late check out fee up to 15:00, 50% late check out up to 17:00 and a full amount to be paid for any time past 17:00. PETSWe only welcome dogs up to 25 kilos in selected rooms (standard room and bunk bed rooms). 800php one-time fee per dog. Our full pet policy is available upon request.Cats and other pets are not allowed. If a guest accidentally brought their cat, it should be caged outside their room until check-out.P2,000 fee will be charged.
WASH AREATo help you rinse off sand and bathing your fur babies after enjoying the beach of Urbiztondo, we have water available near the entrance. Please ask assistance from our available staff.
ALCOHOLNO OUTSIDE FOOD & DRINKS ALLOWED. Corkage fee applies. We serve hot food in our café. Alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks are also available for purchase. Our Vending machine is available 24/7 for other snacks and drinks.
BILLIE'S COFFEE + KITCHENOur café is open from 7:30am to 8:00 pm. Friday to Mondays. If all the tables are occupied in the café, you may also use our roof decklounge.
SMOKING
Smoking and vaping are forbidden inside the property. Smoking and once the smoke alarms are triggered, a PHP 5,000 penalty fee will be automatically charged. There are ample outdoor areas throughout the property away from the building where smoking is permitted.
DRUGS AND ALCOHOLIllicit drugs of any kind will not be allowed or tolerated in the hostel. Guests found with any drug paraphernalia will be immediately asked to leave the hostel. Proper authorities will be called if guests are unwilling to leave.Consuming excessive amount of alcohol within the premises of the hostel is strictly prohibited.
HOSTEL QUIET HOURSPlease keep the noise down between 11:00 pm to 7:00 in the morning. If a guest becomes a public nuisance, the hostel has the right to refuse service and even call the proper authorities to escort them off the premises, if the guest refuses to leave.
PARTIES
Parties are not allowed in the rooms or common areas.
DAMAGES
An additional clean up fee for any extra labor incurred as a result of unreasonable mess left by a guest will be assessed and charged accordingly. Damage to rooms, fixtures and furnishing will be charged 120% of full and new replacement value. Damage to mattresses and linen including towels, mattress pads, sheets, blankets resulting from the use of body oils, make-up, shoe-polish, flat iron, etc. will result in charge for the special cleaning or replacement of the damaged item. Any damage to the hostel property, whether accidental or willful, is the responsibility of the registered guest for each room. Any damages made to the property, interior and exterior will be charged for.
PARKING
Shorebreak Hostel has a limited number of free parking spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. Pay parking option with back entrance of the hostel is available. Overnight parking is PHP 250. To reserve a slot, message the plate number, model make, owner's name & contact number.
FOUND ITEMSForgotten things will be kept for 30 days, after that time they will be handed over to local charitable/humanitarian/ecological organizations, depended on the forgotten thing.

VISITORS/ ROOFDECK LOUNGE
The roofdeck lounge of Shorebreak Hostel is available for all registered guests, and all customers of Billie's Coffee + Kitchen. It is open from 7:30 am to 11:00 pm, except for organized special events, when stated accordingly, as the hostel is in an urban residential area. LIABILITY
- SBH and its employees will not be liable for any damages caused mentally or physically as a result of, or in connection with:
- Any delays or cancellations. In the event of a traveler becoming ill during a vacation, or having to cut their vacation short, all hospital and medical expenses are the traveler's responsibility.
- SBH is unable to accept any liability where the booking could not be fulfilled due to monetary crisis, social unrest, political or labor problems, economic changes, electrical outages due to weather, mechanical maintenance or construction difficulties, for any claims, losses, damages, costs, expenses, delays or loss of enjoyment, of any nature or kind whatsoever resulting from events beyond our or a supplier's reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of nature, flight cancellations or changes, strikes, labor disputes, lockouts, threats or acts of terrorism, riots, acts of war or declared war, theft, weather conditions, floods, diseases or epidemics/pandemics, unexpected conditions, government regulations or changes in itinerary or timetables (collectively, "force majeure").
- All activities have inherent and safety risks, and the hostel shall not be liable for any eventuality related to the activities or services booked through the hostel website or during your stay at the hostel.
