We are located in the heart of downtown Kailua-Kona, steps from Kailua Pier, bars, restaurants, gift shops, farmers markets, and beautiful beaches. We are directly across the street from Honls beach, a quick bike ride from the famous Magic Sands beach, and a 20 minute drive from world famous snorkel, scuba, and hiking locations including Captain Cook Trail, Two Step Bay, and Kealakekua Bay.
We offer female and co-ed dormitories, private rooms, a fully equipped communal kitchen, shaded common areas to talk story, BBQ area, coin-operated laundry, Wi-Fi.
PARKING: The hostel has limited paid overnight parking available for $10/night. Parking passes are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Guests must be present, we do not take reservations. Free street parking around the neighborhood is also an option. The Hostel is not responsible for damage or theft of vehicles.
Policies & Conditions
1. Guests within the ages of 18-65 years are eligible to stay on the property.
2. Check-in is after 3:00pm to 9:30pm and check-out is before 10:00am.
3. Late check-in fees are payable in cash directly to reception upon arrival.

10:30 pm - Midnight - $40 each.

NO CHECK INS AFTER MIDNIGHT WILL BE ACCOMMODATED.
4. All
single-night reservations are subject to a cleaning fee: Dorm -

14 days. We require all guests to present a valid photo ID issued from a government authority and proof of onward travel (an itinerary that shows you have a flight departing Big Island)

6. We will also make every effort to accommodate you in the size dorm you requested, however, this is not guaranteed. When booking multiple beds in a shared room, Kona Beach Hostel will attempt to put people on the same booking in the same room, however this can not be guaranteed.

8. Payment upon arrival can be made by cash, credit card, or debit card. We reserve the right to pre-authorize your credit card.
PETS: We have a strict no pets policy.
Group Booking Policy
Groups consist of
5 or more people.
The minimum stay for a group booking is
2 nights.
Groups looking to stay only one night will be subject to cleaning fees and a flat fee of
$250.
A
50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a booking.
Group bookings are subject to a
30-day cancellation policy.
Refunds will not be issued for cancellations or alterations outside of the 30-day window.
If you haven’t booked your group directly with us, we cannot guarantee all members of your group will be in the same dorm. When booking beds in a shared room, Kona Beach Hostel will attempt to put people on the same booking in the same room, however this can not be guaranteed.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel for any reason, please provide
48 hours notice prior to check-in for a refund.
Where the Guest fails to give sufficient notice of cancellation, an amount equivalent to one-night stay + TAX will be charged. NO SHOWS: If a Guest fails to arrive (no show) at the Hostel, the entire booking will be deemed cancelled and the Guest will be charged for the ENTIRE BOOKING.
All cancellations are subject to an administration fee of

No ShowIf a guest fails to arrive (no show) at the hostel, the entire booking will be deemed cancelled and the guest will be charged for the first night plus tax.
Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions are the basis on which Kona Beach Hostel will provide accommodation to guests. By making a booking the guest agrees to comply with these conditions. Guests can request bookings via Kona Beach Hostel website or any third-party OTA on which Kona Beach Hostel is listed.
18+ HOSTELPolicies:
1. The maximum length of stay at Kona Beach Hostel is 14 nights. You may be asked to show proof of onward travel. If you would like to request an exception, you may do this by contacting the hostel directly.
2. When requesting bookings, guests will be required to provide personal information including their name, address, phone number, and email address. Hostel staff has the right to reject any guest from checking-in if the guest's name is different from the name as stated on the reservation. For a booking to be confirmed, the guest must also provide a valid debit or credit card at the time of booking.
3. Any request to change the dates or length of stay of the reservation is subject to availability.
4. When booking multiple beds in a shared room, Kona Beach Hostel will attempt to put people on the same booking in the same room, however, this can not be guaranteed.
Group Bookings:

3. All groups will make a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure their booking.

Fees and Payments:
1. Single-night reservations are subject to a cleaning fee: $9.46 for dorms and $23.64 for private rooms.
2. Unless otherwise agreed on by Kona Beach Hostel, the charges only cover the provision of accommodation at the hostel, and the guest may incur additional charges for rental items, lost keys/locks, laundry, damages resulting from the guest's negligence. Guests will be informed of the amount of additional charges before they incur.
3. Balance must be paid immediately when checking in at the hostel. We accept cash (USD only), most credit cards and debit cards. When checking in you will be asked to provide us with a valid credit card number as a lock/key deposit. Your card will not be charged unless you fail to return your key. Failure to return your key will result in a charge of $23.64.
4. If you would like to pay the balance of your reservation prior to your arrival, please send a request to info@konabeachhostel.com.
5. If you intend to pay for someone else's stay and will not be checking-in to show the payment card, a request needs to be sent in advance to info@konabeachhostel.com.

1. Check-in time is from 3:00pm/15:00hrs. 2. Valid photo ID (dirver's license or passport) is required at check-in. 3. If you arrive early and your room is ready, you can check-in. If your room is not ready early, you can store your luggage until check-in time.
4. Our reception is not open 24/7. Please inform us via phone or email that you will be arriving to the hostel after 9:30pm / 21:30 hrs.
5. Late check-in fees are payable in cash directly to reception upon arrival.

Age Restrictions:
1. Guests within the ages of 18-65 are eligible to stay on the property.
Hostel Rules:
1. Smoking/vaping is not permitted inside the hostel or in hostel common areas. Smoking is only allowed in the designated making area.
2. In the event of damaged property caused by guest's negligence, the guest may be liable for Kona Beach Hostel's reasonable cost of repairing, cleaning, or replacing damaged property.
3. Guests must act in a reasonable and responsible manner and must not act in any way which may disturb other guests.
4. Any guest who, in the opinion of our staff, compromises the comfort, safety, or security of other guests and staff will be asked to leave the hostel premises without refund.
5. Sharing of dorm beds is not allowed. Each guest must book and pay for a bed.
7. Drug use is illegal in Hawaii, including marijuana. Any guest found using drugs on our premises will be asked to leave immediately without refund. 8. Each bed in dorm rooms has a personal locker for valuables. The guest is responsible for ensuring that their personal belongings are secure at all times. Kona Beach Hostel takes no responsibility for the guest's damaged, lost, or stolen items.
8. Quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 7:00am. Please be mindful of neighbors and guests and keep noise at a minimum during quiet hours.
10. No outside guests are allowed on hostel premises.
11. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in guests being asked to leave the hostel in which event all additional charges shall become immediately payable by the guests.
