Ambong Rainforest Retreat is a boutique tropical resort set in a lush rainforest on Langkawi Island. We are deliberately small with only 11 units and are slightly quirky but warm, friendly and discreet.
Set in a lush tropical forest alive with wild life overlooking the Andaman Sea, we are secluded though not isolated, our guests love the serenity of the hotel which is a mere five-minute walk from Pantai Tengah, one of the finer beaches on the island. Several convenience shops, excellent restaurants, cafes, bars and tourist attractions are also minutes away.
For independent-minded travelers who like to set their own pace, we could well be the ideal place for you.

*For stay dates between 21st December 2024 to 10th January 2025, the free cancellation period of 21days applies. The latest date to modify or cancel the booking would be 22 days before your arrival date.7 days flexible cancellation policy*
For cancellations giving less than 7 (seven) day's notice (prior to check in date & time, GMT+8), for a ‘no show’ or cancellation during confirmed stay dates cancellation fee will be the amount of the total accommodation booked. For the payment via credit or debit card, there may be some bank fees to be taken as a reversal process (refund) with the processing time normally takes 3-30 business days.
100% deposit will be charged upon receiving the booking. Once the full amount is confirmed, a booking confirmation email will be sent to your provided email address.

Effective 1st January 2023, the Malaysian Tourism Tax is a tax of RM10 per room per night charged on a tourist staying at any accommodation premises in Malaysia, collected by the resort under the Tourism Tax Act 2017 (TTx Act). The total amount of the tax will be collected by cash upon check-in at the resort.

i) No children below 12 are allowed (Ambong Rainforest Retreat is an adults-only resort)

Due to the following conditions and restrictions in Ambong Rainforest Retreat, you hereby agree to assume any and all risks inherent to or associated with the danger and other risks of injury relating to you caused by the conditions of the resort.
By making this reservation you are acknowledging and agreeing to release the resort from any and all responsibility or liability for injuries or damages while staying here and you hereby agree not to make any claim against Ambong Rainforest Retreat for injuries or damages.
Ambong Rainforest Retreat is committed to providing you with courteous and efficient service, whilst managing any challenges that you may experience.
However, any threat of abuse or violence in any form whatsoever or any other unacceptable behaviour towards our staff or other guests will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to refuse a booking and apply any provisions of our cancellation policy to protect our staff and guests.
