The Ocean Echo Inn and Cottages is located on a quiet street
that dead ends onto Monterey Bay’s lovely Sunny Cove Beach. The Inn’s secluded
location minimizes traffic and provides a relaxing and safe beach experience. We
are centrally located between downtown Santa Cruz and Capitola on a quiet, off the beaten path street.
The main house, built in the early 1900’s, features five guest rooms. The rooms and cottages surrounding the main house were built in the ensuing years. All rooms and cottages are unique, featuring King or Queen beds, flat screen TV’s, partial or full kitchens, private baths and some are even dog friendly. Several rooms and cottages offer a full or partial ocean view and private decks. We also have several BBQ grills on the property for guest use. The famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is less than a 10-minute drive away. Roaring Camp Railroad, Henry Cowell Redwood State Park and UC Santa Cruz are all within 20 minutes. Santa Cruz is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the beach as well as a central location for great day trips to places such as Monterey and Carmel, Big Sur, Half Moon Bay, and San Francisco. It is rumored that Singer-Songwriters Neil Diamond and John Denver frequented the Inn and were inspired to write some of their most beloved songs here. Property and Cancelation Policies :
All reservations are charged the first night 7 days prior to arrival.
The balance (if any) and all dog fees will be charged the morning of your arrival.
All reservations are paid in full prior to check in.
A cancellation fee in the amount of the first night's stay will be charged for any cancellations within seven (7) days of the arrival date. All reservations made within seven (7) days of arrival will be charged the first night upon making the reservation. Credit card on file will be charged the remaining balance (if any) morning of the arrival date. If we are unable to charge your credit card due to it being declined, we will contact you for an alternate credit card. If your credit card issue isn't resolved within 1 day, your reservation may be cancelled.
To avoid paying a cancellation fee:
• For reservations booked for one room, your reservation must becancelled seven (7) days in advance to your check-in date
• For reservationsbooked for two to six rooms, your reservation must be cancelled fourteen(14) days in advance of your check-in date
• For reservations for seven or more rooms, your reservations must be cancelledsixty (60) days in advance.
• If you cancel your reservation after the cancellation period,your deposit will be non-refundable therefore please note your cancellationperiod in advance.
• If you are a No Show for your reservation, you will be charged100% of the room rate booked for your entire stay.
• If you are reserving a room as part of a group, wedding orevent, your reservation must be cancelled (60) days in advance per the group/wedding/eventcontract.

CHECK IN/CHECK OUT:
- Check in time is between 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM. If you will be arriving after office hours, please contact the hotel to make arrangements prior to 6:00 PM on your arrival date.
- Check out time is at 11:00 AM.
Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card. Upon check-in, we authorize an $100 deposit for any incidentals. We will scan your ID and verify your card. We accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Cash. If you would prefer to pay with cash, please know we will still require a credit card at check-in for your authorization.
QUIET TIME: Out of respect for other paying guests and neighbors we ask all guests to observe 'QUIET TIME' on the property after 10:00 PM. Thank you.
DOG POLICY: No dogs are allowed unless they are declared at time of reservation. Dogs may only be allowed in specified "Dog Friendly" rooms. There is a charge of $50 per dog (limit 2) per night. Upon check in our Dog Policy Contract will be required to be signed. Any pets not declared or found to be in any non-dog friendly rooms will be charged $100 per night.
PARKING: Parking is limited on the property. One space per guest room is allotted. If you have additional cars, please park them on Johans Beach Drive. During summer months, a parking permit will be needed to park on the street on weekends and holidays from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The front office has a limited number of permits available to borrow. A $100 charge will be incurred for all permits not returned to the office. If you have friends visiting you on the property, their cars must be parked on the street. No exceptions. ADDITIONAL GUESTS: All rooms or cottages have a listed maximum occupancy. If any additional guests stay in the room overnight, you will be charged $25 per guest, per night. Unfortunately, we do not have rollaways, cots or additional beds.
