As we are a small and intimate boutique luxury hotel and restaurant, each guest and reservation is very special to us. A credit card is required to guarantee your reservation, and payment in full is taken at time of booking. Payments are non-refundable and no credit will be issued. If you are looking for a flexible cancellation option please select that when booking.
30 Day Date Change Policy
If you need to make a change to your booking please let us know as soon as possible. 30 days prior to your arrival we will do our best to accommodate a change of date if you are unable to make your booking. This will only apply to rooms and dates that are of equal or lesser value and based on availability. Please contact us at the hotel and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Some basic information for our guests
Applicable taxes and gratuities are not included in posted rates. All rates are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Merrill House is a non-smoking environment. Merrill House is proud to use environmentally friendly cleaning products and strives to incorporate sustainable practices throughout the hotel. Our staff make the difference, and we are pleased to offer personal concierge services to help make your stay memorable. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m.; check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
Accessibility
Our heritage hotel has 14 beautifully appointed guest rooms, but rooms on the upper floors are not accessible for some disabilities as we do not have an elevator. Our front entrance has several steps, as does our rear entrance, and each floor is only accessible by stairs. Our dining room is on the lower level of the hotel, and is a flight of steps down to access, both from the patio and the interior. If you have any issues with accessibility, please let our staff know at the time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate.
Pet Policy
As much as we love animals, Merrill House is not appropriate for pets. If you have a papered and certified guide dog, we will be happy to accommodate your furry companion. Otherwise, we would be pleased to help you make local arrangements to board your pet while travelling in Prince Edward County.
Deposit at Check-In
A $500 hold will be placed on your card when you check-in. This will be refunded once your final bill is settled. Please note that it can take several days for the hold to be removed.
