A Room in the City is located in the city center of San Sebastian, providing a cozy environment to sleep and meet other travellers and locals, offering the perfect spot to explore the city, the beach and its sorroundings.
The hostel is located right in the heart of San Sebastian, just within a 1 minute walk to La Concha beach, a short walk to La Zurriola surf beach and a 5 minute seaside walk to the Old Town, the main hub for nightlife and great food. A Room in the City is situated in the historical centre of the city, the main shopping area and also a pleasant neighbourhood to walk along big avenues and pedestrian streets with plenty of terraces to chill out on and beautiful art nouveau buildings.
A Room in the City has 2 different entrances and check in adresses (although the same building!), please check in your room description to find out where you have to go for check in: calle Manterola 15 or calle Easo 20.
Check-in and Check-out Hours
Check-in starts at 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm and check-out ends at 11:00 am.
We have a locker in either of our two buildings where you can leave your belongings until the room is ready.
A passport or European ID card is required for check-in.
Stag and Hen Parties
We do not accept reservations for bachelor parties.
A Room In The City reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who has booked and is a part of one.
Reservations are not accepted from persons under 18 years of age unless accompanied by an adult (18 years of age or older). Guests who wish to bring their children under 16 must reserve a full shared bedroom or a private room.
We do not have an age limit, but most guests in our shared rooms are between 18 and 40 years old.
If you are travelling with family or friends, we will do our best to accommodate you all in the same room, but we cannot guarantee this. If you want to make sure that you are all together, we suggest that you book a private room or a full shared room.
Please note that we only accept payments in cash and with VISA or Mastercard. We do not accept American Express, Diners Club or any other card.
If the name of the card used to make the reservation is different from the name of the person who is going to stay, we will ask you to send us a copy of the card as well as an identity document of the card's owner. If we do not receive this documentation by the time of check-in, the person who is staying will be asked to make full payment for the stay with their own credit card.
When booking a shared or private room, keys/magnetic bracelets will be provided. In the event of loss of the key, the card used to guarantee the reservation will be charged 10 ?.
Receipts and Bills
The comfort and safety of our guests is very important to us. Any guest who, in the opinion of our staff, compromises the comfort or safety of other guests, staff or local residents will be invited to leave our facility and no refund will be issued. Guests are expected to respect other guests as well as staff, local residents and the property.
Smoking is not allowed inside the A Room In The City building as Convent Garden. Smoking is only allowed outside. If any guest smokes inside he will be sanctioned (up to 200 ? fine) and may be invited to leave the premises. In that case no refund will be issued.
Drugs are illegal in Spain. If any guest consumes drugs anywhere in the building they will be forced to leave the premises. No refund will be given.
No alcohol is served to persons under 18 years of age. Alcohol is available at the bar and can only be consumed there and in the areas designated for that purpose. Due to our bar license, guests are not allowed to bring their own alcohol to the Convent Garden facilities.
For each bed (in the shared rooms) there is a locker for small valuables. A Room In The City is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to guest property. We recommend that you bring a padlock to secure your personal belongings, as well as locking your personal lockers with the key.
Damage to A Room In The City
The establishment will ask those guests who cause any damage due to inappropriate behaviour during their stay to take responsibility for the damage. The corresponding amount will be charged to the guests' credit card.
Except for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, A Room In The City's liability remains, at all times, limited to the value of the reserved services, excluding any modification fees paid to us.
In accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the Protection of Personal Data, we hereby inform you that your data are part of a file for which Basquetravel S.L. is responsible, and are processed for the purpose of providing a service to the newsletter in which you have registered.
