Our Cottages
Our cottages have not only been a part of our family’s history, but are truly integral to the Town of Northwood’s history. As the story goes, the 200 year old “Main House”, was considered to be a favorite resting spot for travelers heading through to Concord across the First NH Turnpike. Later, the cottages were built to allow vacationers to enjoy the one of the best kept secrets of lake getaways.
We’ve kept that hometown charm and feel which allows you to enjoy the same, simple lifestyle, which our grandparents may have enjoyed. Of course, we’ve added some expected conveniences such as Wi-Fi, satellite TV, and climate controlled cottages. Each cottage enjoys a fully unobstructed water view and frontage on the Lake. Inside you’ll find everything you need for your vacation getaway including linens, towels, soaps, shampoo, and a kitchen that includes everything you need to prepare that fantastic breakfast, lunch or dinner! Outside, is your own gas grill and fire pit for that romantic campfire. When you awake each day, you can enjoy taking out a kayak or sit with your family to enjoy the sunrise on a perfectly calm lake.
If you are planning a large family gathering, or even if you want a little extra space, consider the “Main House” as your destination. The home offers you room for up to 16 guests yet is economically priced to create that romantic getaway for you and your “best friend”.

Property and Cancelation Policies :
Partial Charge - First Night Stay - If canceled within 7 days of arrival
Terms and Conditions
Booking Policies
A deposit of one night stay is due for reserving two nights or more
Cancellation Policy
If cancellation is necessary, a refund of the deposit will be made if we receive notice 7 days prior to arrival. - A $20 administration charge is deducted from all refunds.
- DURING THE PEAK SEASON, A 14 DAY NOTICE IS REQUIRED FOR RESERVATION CANCELLATION.
- In the event of an early departure, no refunds are given.
- Guests are responsible for payment of all nights reserved regardless of their actual arrival or departure date.
Check In/Check Out
Check-In is between 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Arrangements for late arrivals should be made in advance. . Please, no calls after 9:00 out of respect and courtesy of other house guests and our Innkeeper.
Checkout time is at 11:00 a.m.
Ask if early check in is possible. I should know the day before.
PET Policy
Your pet is always welcome to stay with us. They usually enjoy their vacation as much as anyone does.Pleas assure that they are on a leash whenever they are outside your home. Of course, please pick up after them.
A nice place to visit with or without your pet is. "Northwood Meadows State Park". located on Rte 4 east about three miles down on right
Use of Boats
The boats are for you to enjoy. There are paddles and lifejackets near them. Please assure that you have one lifejacket for each person in the boat. Children and those unable to swim must wear the life jacket.
Please return boats to grass next to beach.
Beach Area
Please do not fish on the beach area.. We want to assure that nobody gets injured by an errant fishhook. You are welcome to fish anywhere else alone the shoreline. If you want to purchase a temporary license, Heritage Hardware, located about 1 mile west, should have them available for you.
Please deposit cigarette butts in the receptacle or ashtrays. Thank you in advance for helping to keep the porperty clean
Camp Fires
NH rules allow campfires not to exceed 2 feet in diameter and can be after 5:30 in the evening. Please supervise any fires and remember to extinguish them when through.
IMPORTANT
Please do not feed the wild birds that may swim nearby. They have a natural ability to find food on their own. If they are fed, or allowed on the beach area they will make a mess. The geese are especially aggressive towards people, so we make every attempt to keep them off the property.
We love the lake and hop you will too!
