Tarltons Lodge is an adults-only luxury Accommodation, situated on
a hill immediately south of the beaches, restaurants and town of Paihia, and
commands a 170-degree Bay of Islands panoramic ocean view. The Lodge is only a ten-minute walk to
central Paihia, providing quick access to all local amenities, yet assuring an
escape from any hustle and bustle. At
the Lodge, there is a complete absence of any traffic noise, where a tranquil
silence pervades, interrupted only by bird song. Our rooms are ideal for celebrations of love: intimate romance, honeymoons, anniversary milestones, family reunions... away from the larger, more crowded up-town beachfront properties. Each of our three guest rooms, have their own
exclusive Spa/hot-tub and high table on a private terrace, opening onto this magnificent
ocean view, which on arrival, literally takes your breath away.

through floor-to-ceiling sliding glass windows, from your bed inside your room, from the hot tub and from the high table on your terrace. We are the only luxury
accommodation in Paihia, of which all rooms can boast a combination of a spectacular
ocean view and a private hot tub. Following the Covid-19 pandemic, in our effort to offer
our guests a contactless experience, we do not provide breakfast. The opulent furnishings in all three guest rooms display an elegant
intimacy, with king and super king size beds and the best quality linen. Tarlton's

Property and Cancelation Policies :
Your provided Credit/Debit card will be securely captured at the time of booking.
Please note: In order to validate your Credit/Debit card, full payment may be taken at any time after you have made your booking, up to and before check-in.
If for whatever reason, your credit/debit card declines and cannot be processed, preventing payment, Tarltons Lodge will cancel your reservation, until such time that you provide a valid credit card or debit card with sufficient funds for payment.
Note: the credit/debit card details you give to Tarltons Lodge to guarantee your reservation may be used for charges not paid for at checkout.
No refunds are transferred to any credit card other than the original credit/debit card provided for payment.
TARLTONS LODGE CANCELLATION POLICY
Tarltons Lodge is a small and exclusive accommodation facility with only three rooms. Late cancellations which leave any of our rooms empty during our short, peak summer season will impact Tarltons Lodge revenue significantly. For this reason we have implemented a strict cancellation policy.
We strongly recommended that all our guests purchase adequate travel insurance– with a full comprehensive insurance policy covering medical, lost or stolen personal effects, baggage, air flight and hotel cancellation fees, to cover all unexpected circumstances which may affect their travel plans, necessitating a late cancellation of their reservation.
Cancellations April 1st– December 14th - are free up to 14days before check-in / Cancellations within 14 days of your check-in date incur a penalty of 100% of stay + taxes.
Cancellations December 15th – March 31st - are free up to 30 days before check-in / Cancellations received within 30 days of your check-in date incur a penalty of 100% of stay + taxes.
If you have any changes to your plans, please inform us in writing, as early as possible. The cancellation policy is detailed above and will be applied.
Terms and Conditions
Adults-Only Policy
Tarltons Lodge is a luxury accommodation and retreat for adults-only. The majority of our guests are couples on honeymoons, celebrating marriage anniversaries or other celebrations, or simply escaping from the children for a night or two. Our rooms are ideal for intimate romance, away from the larger, more crowded up-town beachfront properties. The minimum age at Tarltons Lodge is 18 years old. Guests that arrive at Tarltons Lodge on their check-in date with children under 18 years of age will, unfortunately, be turned away and charged as a no show, incurring a penalty of 100% of stay + taxes.
Breakfast Not Provided,
We do not serve breakfast at Tarltons Lodge.
Take-away food and drinks consumed in the rooms
Tarltons Lodge strongly recommends guests use the high table provided on the terrace for enjoying take-out meals, particularly when consuming foods, such as curry, tomato sauce, pizzas, red wine, balsamic vinegar, coffee, chocolate, etc… These foods are prone to causing permanently damaging stains on the bed linen, duvet, curtains, carpet or other furnishings and the guest will be held accountable to pay for any such damage to the room.
Liability for Damage
The guest is liable for any damage to the room or property, and may be charged, plus a charge for any resultant loss of income if applicable. Any violation of Tarltons Lodge terms and conditions, such as but not limited to room and contents damage, may result in subsequent charges being made to the credit card provided at time of booking.
Twin/Single Beds
All of our rooms have king or super king size double beds. Please note that providing our guests with twin single beds requires the guest to book a two (2) night minimum stay,
Late Check-out
Late check-outs may incur additional charges.
Accident Waiver and Release
The guest assumes for him or herself and those persons accompanying him or herself, all risks associated with their stay at Tarltons Lodge, including by way of example and without limitation, any risks that may arise from their personal use of the spa(s), the access staircases, including negligence or carelessness on the part of the management/hosts, including dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by them, or because of their possible liability without fault.
Money & Valuables
Important: Money and valuables are brought to Tarltons Lodge at the guest’s sole risk. Tarltons Lodge and/or the management accept no liability and shall not be responsible for any loss or damage thereto and guests remain solely responsible for the safe keeping of any such items.
Smoking
We are a non-smoking facility. Any smoking on the property outside of the designated smoking area on the front porch, is strictly prohibited. Smoking is not allowed in any room on the property. If you do smoke in the room(s),then you may be charged appropriate cleaning and loss of income charges which could be substantial.
No Shows
Guests that fail to arrive on the check-in date, without any prior explanation to management will be treated as a “No Show” and as such will be liable for the full accommodation charge, forfeiting any eligibility for a refund.
Taxes
All taxes - GST - are included in the room price
Visitors
No visitors (unregistered guests) are allowed in rooms after 5:00 pm.
