Valhalla is a small
club lodge founded over 45 years ago as a co-operative and has 26 members. The
lodge was built in the true Mt Hotham alpine spirit providing a unique
experience of sharing and community, built around respect and trust. The vision
of the lodge is to enable everyone to have a comfortable, social &
memorable lodge holiday, including meeting a “local” (members and manager).
Valhalla provides you with the chance to disconnect from the normal holiday
experience of an apartment or hotel.
The members of
Valhalla Ski Club invite guests to join and enjoy the Valhalla experience.
Room rates are based
on occupancy per room, with the room booked exclusively for that guest only. There
is a porta-cot and high chair available. You can reserve these at the time of
your booking.
Accommodation is
ideal for couples, families and individuals, with bedrooms available to
sleep 3 – 6 people. Each bedroom is self-contained with an en suite and
heater. All linen (including pillowcases,
bedsheets and towels), doonas and blankets are supplied for each bed. Every room is
allocated a large section in the kitchen fridge and a pantry cupboard to store
food and beverages. The Lodge has a large kitchen (ovens, microwaves, stoves)
and dining area for self-catering, including all cooking utensils and dishes,
and dining crockery and cutlery. A rangeof apliances are also availale for guest use including a sandwhich press, toaster, kettle, blender and slow cooker. Breakfast is supplied which includes a range
of cereals (muesli, oats, Weetbix etc.), bread, milk and a variety of spreads
(including butter). Additionally, guests have access to the common pantry which
includes a range of sauces, baking ingredients (flour, rice & sugar) and a
variety of condiments. Tea and coffee are provided as well as plungers and
a Nespresso machine.

Property and Cancelation Policies :
- All cancellations must be made via email to bookings@valhallaskiclub.com.au
• More than 4 weeks prior to the booking = 90% refund;
• More than 2 weeks and less than 4 weeks prior to the booking = 50% refund;
• No refunds will be made for cancellations made less than two weeks prior to your booking start date.
• In the interest of lodge health and safety, any guest with a positive COVID-19 test result is not permitted, and is eligible for a 90% refund upon proof of result.
Terms and Conditions
GENERAL Guests using the lodge are bound by these rules. Upon arrival, check the entry whiteboard for your room allocation. Room allocation is at the absolute discretion of the Booking Officer.
LIABILITY OF CLUB All persons enter the lodge at their own risk. The Club and Members thereof, accept no liability for any act, omission or breach of duty by any person which results in personal injury or damage or loss or theft of property. This includes personal items of jewellery and cash.
DOOR CODE The main entrance to the lodge is fitted with a lock which requires a code to prevent unauthorised access.
LODGE MANAGER In order to safeguard the Club’s property and to ensure the Club is run smoothly and efficiently, the Club has appointed a Manager whose directions must be adhered to.
ARRIVAL Checkin is from 4pm. on the day of arrival.
STORAGE OF SKIS/ BOARDS AND BOOTS Equipment must be stored in the Ski Room. All boots are to be removed in the entrance area and stored in the Drying Room. No outside boots are to be worn in the Lodge.
CLEANING AND DUTIES As with all club type accommodation, occupants are responsible for cleaning their own rooms and the kitchen after own use.
FIRE SAFETY IS IMPORTANT
(a) Interference with fire safety is prohibited.
(b) NO SMOKING OR VAPING IN THE CONFINES OF THE BUILDING.
(c) In case of fire, the Emergency Plan will be implemented.
DEPARTURE Rooms must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure.
KITCHEN Food must be removed from fridge and kitchen cupboards and wiped clean.
LUGGAGE All luggage and personal equipment must be removed from your room by 11 am on the day of departure. Luggage and personal equipment may be left in the lower lounge at the Manager’s discretion. Valhalla strongly advise to move your car from Overnight Parking to Day Parking near Bus Stop 7 early on your day of departure. Lodge Facilities are not available to you and your party after 11am on the day of departure unless arrangements have been made prior.
PAYMENT POLICY Payment will be in full on confirmation of your booking. No booking will be held if payment is not receipted.
COVID-19 POLICY Operating Terms and Conditions
Valhalla Ski Club is run in accordance with Government Covid Regulations. All members and guests must self-assess in advance of their booking and stay away if experiencing any Covid-19 or flu-like symptoms. Covid-19 positive guests are eligible for a partial refund as outlined in our cancellation policy.
