This 100(+) year old property, the Tamaracks Resort, lies within the Lolo National Forest on over 34 acres along the shores of Seeley Lake, nestled in the Rocky Mountains of Montana. Our rustic chic resort cabins can accommodate 88(+) people. With no two cabins being the same, we are a sure fit for everyone in your group (be sure to take the virtual tour). The resort also has 1 RV Group site & 9 RV sites with electric and water hookups, 3 Pop Up Camping sites, 2 Tent sites, a guest laundry facility, a unique gift shop, and will soon have property-wide high-speed wireless internet. There is ample space for individual families to enjoy their privacy, and it is large enough for weddings, retreats, and family reunions.
The beautiful Seeley-Swan Valley, at the base of the Rocky Mountains, offers four-season recreational opportunities, and the Tamaracks Resort is the perfect place to stay, play, relax, and take in the fantastic views. The office can provide trail information, and we can get you all set up with equipment and rental gear at our lakefront Rental Shack. In the summer, our property offers portage to popular trailheads, and even some trails leave right from the property. We have multiple sandy beaches, boat launches, docks, and moorages. The Rental Shack has motorized boats, personalized watercraft, canoes, kayaks, SUPs, fishing boats, snorkel gear, and FAT bikes for rent. Guests will also enjoy the large lawn area, sand volleyball court, basketball hoop, and horseshoe pits.
When the seasons change and winter sets in, there is still much to do. Kick off fall with changing the trees, fall fishing, hunting, or just exploring. But when the snow hits, there are snowmobiles to rent and trails to ride, and Seeley Lake offers some of the country's best terrain. We also have cross-country skis, ice skates, snow shoes, winter riding FAT bikes, an ice fishing house, and all the gear. Services that are new to the property will continue throughout the winter.
Although the resort's amenities may entertain you without ever having to leave the property, there are countless other activities just minutes away from your cabin, and we offer a guide about the best ones!! Ask us about Pond Hockey, the Bob Marshall Music Festival, the 4th of July, the Tamarack Festival, the Winter Fest, and many other wonderful Seeley Lake traditions!!
Since we are the only pet-friendly resort in Seeley Lake, we want your puppy to enjoy being on vacation, too!! We may have some rules that you and your pet need to obey while you are here to make it easier. We will provide collars & leashes if you need them, food and water bowls if you forgot them, bed/sofa covers, pet towels for wet paws from the dog park, grain-free treats upon check-in, and "duty" bags/receptacles throughout the property. We have a wonderful waterfront dog park for playtime, so your whole family can enjoy the mountains & lake.

Credit card imprint required. Any damages or loss above and beyond normal wear and tear will be charged to the guest's credit card.
Travelers are encouraged to consider vacation insurance to protect against loss of deposits and payments due to unexpected travel interruptions. Services such as https://www.insuremytrip.com or others could be used.
Terms and Conditions
All reservations, over-occupancy, and day-use prices are subject to an 8% accommodation tax.
Advance Payment and a Credit Card hold and imprint are required at check-in by the registered guest - $250 for cabins & $50 for camp/RV. Please note that we will charge the guest's credit card on file for excessive use, damage in or outside the cabins or campsite and/or fire-pit, any cost for increased housekeeping, or any other damage or loss caused by someone visiting your cabin or campsite. It is vital that you understand the above includes accidental damage to furniture and electronics (i.e. cabin: damaged television and dvd players, bed mattresses/frames/linen, windows, kitchenware lost or misplaced, outdoor furniture, etc.Camp/RV: fire rings, garbage disposal, pet duty, water lines, etc.). The registered guest will be responsible for all intentional or reckless damages, and the credit card on file will be charged.
We are trying to keep the cost down to our guests, and we do not want to institute cleaning fees or service fees. We have compiled a list of your responsibilities prior to check out and it is posted in the cabin next to the Guest Information Book. The guest who uses their credit card for the credit card hold is considered the responsible party. All necessary charges concerning the cabin(s) will be charged to the credit card on file, no matter who in the group caused the damage. The damage waiver must be signed before check-in is allowed.
No Smoking in any buildings on this property.
Check-In and Check-Out Times:
During the high season, check-in time is after 4:00 PM on the day of your arrival. During the low season, we are slightly more flexible, with a check-in of 3:00 PM. Check-out time is no later than 11:00 AM on your departure day. Late check-outs could be charged for an additional day. You may call the office to see if early arrival is available, but we cannot guarantee this. *We apologize for the change in our check-in and check-out times. We don't want to sacrifice the quality or cleanliness of your accommodations; unfortunately, due to the shortage of workers we may require more time to clean units.
Over Occupancy:
Additional Occupancy (upon management approval only) is subject to a $20.00 per person, per day charge for both cabins and campsites. Day use fees may be added to your bill for extra vehicles at your cabin/campsite, who are here for the day at the resort. There is a maximum limit of guests, and only 2 vehicles that will be allowed at each cabin and campsite.
Pets
Pets are welcome at Tamaracks Resort; please read the policy! No more than two pets are allowed. The cabins have a $200.00 refundable deposit per cabin, and the pet fee is $20.00 per day/per pet. In the RV and campground area, there is a refundable deposit of $50 and a $10.00 per-pet/per-day fee. Pit Bulls, Rottweilers & Dobermans are not permitted anywhere on the property at any time. We require that you register and pay for all pets that you or your guests bring onto the property. You may never leave your pet unattended anywhere on the property, building, or campsite. If we find that you do not keep your pet on a leash or do not follow our pet regulations regarding picking up and sanitary disposal of feces, you may be asked to leave. Pets are not allowed on the main beach for health and hygienic reasons. *They do have access to their own waterfront dog park. Pet deposits may be refunded upon inspection of a damage-free and clean cabin, furnishings, and supplies in the cabin.
The Tamaracks Resort LLP, management and/or employees shall not be held responsible for accidents, injuries, or loss to guests or their property. The management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
The Wilderness Experience
The Tamaracks Resort is located in the heart of the Lolo National Forest. People who stay here understand that they are staying in the wilderness and run the risk of encountering mosquitoes, skunks, porcupines, bears, bats, mice, squirrels, etc.. These animals may find their way into vehicles, tents, RV's, and cabins. Please remember that this is their home, too, and even though we take measures to limit dangerous access, we cannot eliminate all possible contact. The Tamaracks Resort is in close contact with local game wardens and other state officials to control wildlife around and on the property. We do our best to maintain the 100-year-old resort property and the buildings; however, we assume no liability should a conflict arise between humans and wildlife, no matter how large or small.
