Kloem Hostel is a former traditional Thai stilted house built in 1957 that has been renovated with iconic modern architecture for a hostel service.Amid the rapid urbanisation of the metropolis, traditional Thai houses, once a common sight, have been demolished and replaced by modern concrete blocks and flats.Therefore, to keep this piece of history alive, our renovation was carefully planned by a team of specialists, architects, and interior designers to preserve as much of the original structure of the house as possible. Also, materials from the wooden walls that had been knocked down were also transformed into furniture, including the grand table in our lobby where guests can meet and socialize.
