The Elk Refuge Inn is nestled up against the foothills that surround the National Elk Refuge, about two miles north of downtown Jackson and about a five-minute drive to the entrance to Grand Teton National Park. Our location is unique in that our guests are able to enjoy the breath-taking natural landscapes found in Jackson Hole while still in close enough proximity to the historic town of Jackson to easily drop in and enjoy the numerous local restaurants, shopping opportunities, family and adventure activities, as well as nightlife.
The views from the inn are spectacular, the rooms memorable, and the service personal. Approximately half of our rooms are fully-equipped with kitchenettes for your convenience. All rooms include full bathrooms, high speed internet, flat screen TVs, microwaves, coffee machines, small refrigerators, air conditioning, and a private patio or balcony for you to slow down, breath deep, and soak in the surrounding mountain air while enjoying the endless valley views. we are not a road side motel or a hotel with hundreds of rooms; at our inn every guest is special. Property and Cancelation Policies :
We understand that life sometimes gets in the way of our travel plans. However, we must insist that all guests adhere to our cancellation policy. Rarely can we make exceptions, as our staff is instructed to follow this policy thoroughly. To avoid any misunderstanding, we would be grateful if you could observe the following:
- Cancellations must be made at least three days in advance of the day of your reservation check in day to receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made less than three days of your reservation check in day will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
- Final payment will be taken by 4pm, 3 days prior to arrival. If you need to update credit card please on contact the hotel directly.
- Cancellations within three days before your check-in date will incur charges for the full reservation amount, with refunds not available for any unused portion of your stay. For a full refund of the whole reservation or a portion of your stay, cancellations must be made at least three days prior to your arrival
- No-shows will be charged in full.
- Non-refundable reservations will not receive a refund, no matter the circumstances. This includes any reservation booked on our website with the NON-REFUNDABLE discounted rate and all Booking.com reservations.
- Early Departures will not receive a refund. As it is a cancellation of your nights within our 3 day non refundable period.
- For reservations made directly with Elk Refuge Inn, we require that guests send a cancellation request via email to info@elkrefugeinn.net. For reservations made through a travel agent website, such as Booking, Expedia, or TripAdvisor, we are unable to cancel the reservation. The guest will need to contact the website directly to cancel their reservation.
Terms and Conditions
- At Elk Refuge Inn, we value your business and work hard to guarantee your satisfaction. When you make a reservation with us, you can be confident that your room will be available when you arrive. We charge your credit card within one day of confirming your reservation, and you will receive a charge for the first night of your stay immediately upon booking. Three days before arrival, we will charge for any remaining nights. Please be aware that the hotel can cancel your reservation if we do not receive the Pre-Payment Deposit. We will email you a cancellation confirmation directly after canceling your booking.
- At this hotel, we take the comfort and health of our guests very seriously. For that reason, we have a strict no-smoking policy in all guest rooms, as well as on the patio and balcony. If evidence of smoking is found in any of these areas, a minimum fee of $500 will be applied to the guest's room.
- We love our furry friends, but for the safety and comfort of all guests, we do not allow pets in the room, patio, or balcony. Pets are also not allowed to be left in a vehicle unattended. A minimum fee of $500 will be applied to all rooms if evidence of a pet is found.
- At the Elk Refuge Inn, we value our guests and their comfort. In order to ensure that all of our visitors have a positive experience, we have established a few policies that we expect all guests to follow. We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate a guest's stay without a refund if any of our policies are violated. First and foremost, we ask that all visitors be respectful of other guests. Refrain from making excessive noise during evening hours. Additionally, we require that all guests be 21 or older if they are occupying a room. Finally, we ask that guests take care when using the facilities in their rooms and report any damages as soon as possible; additional fees or contract terms may apply if damages occur during a guest's stay.
- The Elk Refuge Inn strives to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our guests. However, we cannot be held responsible for any accidents, injuries, damage, or losses that may occur while on our property. We encourage all visitors to take precautions and use common sense while exploring the grounds. We also recommend that guests purchase travel insurance to cover any unforeseen incidents that may occur during their stay.
- We are not responsible for any lost or forgotten items at the hotel. We have a lost and found bin at the front desk, but we cannot guarantee that your item will be found or returned to you. So, please be sure to check your belongings before you leave the hotel and remember to take everything with you when you check out.
- Later Arrival and Seasonal Hours: If you arrive after the office is closed, please follow the self check in instructions that are sent via email and text messsage. If you have a hotel emergency after hours, please call the after-hours phone at (307) 690-3806.
- We offer convenient parking right in front of your room (or super close). By parking your vehicle at our facility, you (and your guests) are doing so at your own risk. The hotel does not take responsibility or accept liability for damage, accident, or loss to your vehicle or personal property.
- Trailer Parking: please inform the office prior to reservation date if you may have a trailer, bus or semi trailer we have a designated parking area that is limited in size.
- Housekeeping services are available to make your stay more comfortable. We will provide cleaning services during your stay, including refreshing your room, changing the linen, and taking out the trash. If you do not want a refresh/stay-over cleaning, please place your do not disturb sign on your door and inform the front desk.
- Firearms Policy: Any guest or visitor with a firearm on hotel premises is personally responsible for abiding by all applicable federal, state, and local laws concerning firearms. Subject to the following restrictions, guests of Elk Refuge Inn who are lawfully permitted to possess a firearm may bring a such firearm onto hotel premises, provided that the presence of the firearm on hotel premises: is for storage purposes only; the firearm is and remains at all times unloaded; the firearm is and remains secured in a locked, hard-sided firearm container, provided by the guest, while transported to or from the guest room and while stored therein; and the firearm remains securely safeguarded at all times in a locked guest room or locked personal vehicle, except when transporting the firearm to or from a guest room. Guests who fail to abide by this policy may be asked to leave the hotel premises without a refund. The hotel premises are private property, and our firearms policy applies to: (i) all firearms, regardless of whether the firearm is a handgun or a long-barreled gun; and (ii) all guests and visitors, even those possessing a valid license or permit to carry a firearm. The only exception to the restrictions described in this firearms policy statement is for law enforcement officers and designated military personnel, who are on duty and required to carry firearms to perform their duties.
- At The Elk Refuge Inn, sustainability is fundamental to us and how we operate as a business. We invite our guests to join in by reading the guest directory in their room, visiting the sustainability section on our website, and following the recycling procedures outlined in their rooms.
