Welcome to the Mount Tom House: charmingly quirky, just like an Oregon home should be. Set on 200 acres, it's a character-filled, 6-bedroom bed and breakfast eighteen miles north of Eugene, Oregon.
This isn’t your typical bed and breakfast though.
The Mount Tom House welcomes you with intricate stained-glass windows, detailed woodworking, a two-story library, a variety of quaint nooks, and a workout room. And that’s just the inside.
Outdoors you’ll find the tranquil escape you are looking for including patio space to enjoy your meals in the morning and sunsets in the evening, terraces overlooking two small spring-fed ponds, and a 120-acre nature conservancy with hiking trails. It's an ideal base camp for families and groups of friends. We fell in love with the Mount Tom House a few moments after arriving. And we think you will, too.

Property and Cancelation Policies :
- Single-room stays: we understand that plans sometimes change. We ask for a cancellation notice 7 days prior to arrival for no cancellation fees.
- Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival will incur a charge equal to one night’s stay per room booked.
- If we are able to rebook your reserved room(s) during that time, the cancellation charge will not be applied.
- Special Events & Holiday reservations require additional notice.
- Special events and holidays include: Christmas, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, University of Oregon graduation, Eugene Marathon weekend, football, basketball, and track & field events hosted at the University of Oregon.
- We ask for a 50% deposit to confirm the reservation. The deposit is non-refundable unless we are able to re-book the nights of your original reservation. If we are able to re-book, the deposit is refunded fully less any transaction fees fulfilled.
- Summertime Whole House reservations require additional notice:
- We ask for a 50% deposit to confirm reservations made for stays occurring beginning of May - end of September. The deposit is fully refunded up until 9 months prior to your day of arrival. It is non-refundable within 9 months of your day of arrival unless we are able to re-book the nights of your original reservation. If we are able to re-book, the deposit is refunded fully less any transaction fees fulfilled.
Terms and Conditions
Prices and Taxes
- Our rates are double occupancy and are guaranteed until time of reservation.
- All rates are exclusive of local and state room tax and pet fee, when applicable.
- We reserve the right to change rates, room arrangements, and amenities without notice.
- In the interest of security and fraud prevention, a valid credit card and government-issued ID is required at time of reservation.
- A 50% deposit is required when making a reservation.
- Payment is required prior to check-out. Payment can be made in cash or by the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover.
Unless otherwise arranged with us, check-in is any time after 4pm on the day of arrival and check-out is by 10am on day of departure.
Traveling with Minors and Pets
- Children are welcome.
- Pets are welcome on the Tom Wing (McKenzie, Pisgah, and Doris rooms). An additional fee of $25 per night will be applied to the reservation bill.
Our guest bedrooms are on the second floor. If walking up stairs is difficult, we recommend booking elsewhere for a comfortable stay.
Privacy Statement
The Mount Tom House staff respect your privacy and are committed to protecting and safeguarding your personal information. Information entered when making an online reservation is stored and protected on a secure payment processing software and booking management system. We collect data analytics and personal information for the sole purposes of (1) improving our online presence and site (2) better understanding our audience.
We may collect data on our site through technologies like “cookies” in order to improve the user experience. You can always decline cookies.
The Mount Tom House may amend this Privacy Statement from time to time in order to meet changes in the regulatory environment, business needs, or to satisfy the needs of our guests, properties, strategic marketing partners, and service providers.
Damages
- The B&B should be used by her guests in a sensible manner, and in line with the instruction of the owners.
- The head guest (the person who makes the booking) is responsible by law for any damage that is caused to the B&B or any other guests.
- Any damages should be reported to the owners of the B&B immediately.
- Costs for reparation or replacement should be paid by the responsible guest on request of the owners.
- If the keys of the room are not returned to the B&B, any costs that need to be made as a result of this, shall be charged to the responsible guests.
- We reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit card for any damage incurred to your room or the B&B during your stay (including without limitation specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing when you leave.
Guest Behavior
This is our family home as well as our business. Guests are requested to conduct themselves appropriately at all times and to comply with house rules or requests with regard to conduct and respect for the property, its employees and guests and their health and safety. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or remove you and members of your party from our home if, in our reasonable opinion, we consider this provision to have been breached. Where this is the case we shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expense incurred.
Swimming Pool Waiver
The Mount Tom House offers guests use of the lap pool and hot tub. By agreeing to the Terms & Conditions, I acknowledge that a lifeguard will not be in attendance and I certify to swim at my own risk. I further certify that I am in good health and have no physical or other impediment which would endanger me while participating in this activity. I will not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, which would impair my ability. I acknowledge and agree this activity has inherent risks. I have full knowledge of the nature and extent of all the risks associated with this activity. In consideration of my participation in this activity, I agree (on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns) to release, discharge, waive and relinquish the Mount Tom House, Mount Tom Run Club (or its owners, contractors, and employees) from any and all liabilities, claims, or actions for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death which may arise out of my participation.
