Reservations during SXSW and the month of October require a three-night minimum stay. Payment will be charged to the credit card on file two weeks prior to the event start date. No refunds will be given once payment is taken, including but not limited to cancellation of the event itself. Guests will be reminded via email before their credit card is charged. If payment is declined, the guest will be notified immediately and will have two days to contact the hostel before their reservation is automatically canceled. Reservations will be held for 24 hours after arrival date, if not checked in at that point, the reservation will be canceled without refund; no-shows will be charged a $100 fine.

Check-in begins at 3:00 pm; if you'll be arriving in Austin earlier please feelfree to stop by the hostel to store your bags free of charge. Our reception desk is open from 8:00 am to 3:00 am but the front door is locked when the bar is closed from 2:00 am – 5:00 pm. You will receive the front door code through email the morning of your arrival around 10:30 am. YOU MUST USE THIS CODE to enter the hostel. If you’re arriving after 3:00 am you must let us know ahead of time or you will be considered a no-show. All guests must provide a valid government issued photo identification, credit/debit card and travel documents upon arrival. Texas State ID's must have an address 60 mile radius away from zip code 78701. Residents ofAustin will not be allowed to check-in.
All payments occur during check in for the full amount of your stay. If you need to leave early, any additional nights will be refunded if you check out by11am on the day you wish to leave.
We do not take payment over the phone, all transactions must take place in person. Third party payments will not be accepted. The credit card used for the reservation and stay must be in the guest’s name. Guests must be 18+ in years of age.
Our system placesyou in the first available bed, we are unable to guarantee multiple bedreservations in the same room. If you are traveling with other guests and wantto be in the same room please email us to make arrangements.

Hostel Stuff
Quiet hours:2:00am until 8:00am. Please be aware that we do have a cocktail lounge onthe first floor that does play loud music until 2:00 am.
Towels and Linens:Towels and linens are provided.No outside bedding is allowed (pillows, blankets, sleeping bags,etc)
Lockers:Lockers in dorm rooms are available for free but you must bring your own lock,or you can buy one from us for $10.
Front desk hours:Front desk hours are 8:00 am to 3:00 am
Group bookings: Group Bookings (6 guests or more): Groups of 6 or more must havemanagement approval to make a booking, please contact us directly at austinfirehouse@gmail.com and provide thedates and number in your group.
Directions:
From the Airport:Capitol Metro operates public bus #20 from the lower level of ABIA todowntown for $1.25. You can pay through the CapMetro app or directly on thebus. Please note that they do not give change. Get off at 8th & Lavaca and the hostel is a four-block walk away.
Uber & Lyft are the fastest way to get downtown, but pricesfluctuate.
Parking:The hostel does not have any parking. Street parking is available but canget expensive for longer periods. The closest overnight garage parking is St.David’s Parking Garage located at 7th and Trinity Street. 24 hourparking costs around $25 -$30 but prices may fluctuate.
