You and the hotel agree on theterms of the room rental. The name of the company operating the hotel (belowreferred to as "Hotel Horten" or "the hotel") and withwhich you enter into an agreement with is shown on the booking confirmation.Unless any special agreements have been made, the following rules apply.Separate rules may apply for conferences and group bookings.
BOOKING AND CONFIRMATION
A booking is binding once ithas been confirmed and you have received a booking reference. This may be givenverbally, in writing or through the booking system. When making a booking, youare required to state your name, address, email address, arrival and departuretime and method of payment. It is important that you state your email address,since it is required in order for you to receive your booking confirmation andto be able to check-out online. Please note that the hotel will send you yourbooking confirmation to the email address you provide to us. Different rules applyfor different rates, see detailed rate information. To book a room at HotelHorten, you must be at least 18 years. You who book the room for a minor areliable regardless of whether you stay with the minor in the room or not. For security reason we only allow our staffmembers and checked-in guests in our hotel rooms and other reserved premises.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Times for arrival anddeparture vary depending on the booking and rate at which you made yourbooking.
CANCELLATION AND NO ARRIVAL
Cancellation rules varydepending on the rate at which you made your booking, please read the detailedrate information carefully. Unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking orthe rate you have chosen has different rules, cancellations can be made upuntil 4 pm local time of the hotel on the day of arrival. If you fail to arrivewithout cancelling in advance or if you cancel after 4 pm, you will be chargedfor one night. If the hotel has incurred costs specifically related to yourbooking, you must also reimburse these.EARLY DEPARTURE AND OPEN-ENDEDSTAYSIf you have booked for aparticular time period but depart earlier, it may result in price adjustments.Contact the hotel to notify your departure. If you stay at the hotel for anopen-ended period and extend your stay by one night at a time, you shouldnotify the hotel of your departure by 4 pm the day before. Otherwise, you willbe charged for an extra night. If the hotel can no longer keep the roomavailable for you, you are entitled to be informed of this fact by 4 pm the daybefore departure is required.
THE HOTEL'S OBLIGATIONS ANDYOUR OWN REQUIREMENTS
If the hotel cannot give you aroom as agreed, you are entitled, at no extra cost, to an equivalent or betterroom in the hotel or at a hotel of an equivalent standard. Specify yourrequirements at the time of booking to be sure that the hotel is properlyprepared. All rooms at all our hotel are non-smoking. If a guest breaches thesmoking ban, the hotel is entitled to charge the guest for ensuing costs. Ifyou wish to bring a pet with you, please make this clear at the time ofbooking.
Payment in advance is requiredfor certain room rates. Read the detailed rate information. The amount paidwill be deducted from the final bill. If you cancel the room after thecancellation deadline, the hotel is entitled to retain the booking fee/advancepayment. In general, the hotel bill must be paid on receipt, usually on arrivalat the hotel. Hotel Horten accepts the most common credit/debit cards. However,the hotel is not obliged to accept credit/debit cards, cheques, vouchers orforeign currency unless the hotel has volunteered to do so.
STORAGE OF VALUABLES ANDLUGGAGE AND VALUABLES IN THE ROOM OR IN THE LUGGAGE STORAGE
Your valuables can usually bestored in the hotel’s safety deposit boxes. The hotel can store your luggage ina locked luggage storage. Do not leave valuables or luggage unattended in thelobby upon checking in or checking out, at breakfast or when you are waitingfor a taxi. Due to security reasons, the hotel is not obliged to store propertyof high value or property that could endanger the safety for hotel staff orguests. The hotel has no strict responsibility for property that you keep inyour hotel room or in the luggage storage.
