The President’s Reserve, designed by architect Denis Griffiths (designer Atlanta’s Chateau Élan Resort Courses), trails through 300 acres of natural Tennessee wetlands and along the banks of the beautiful Cumberland River.General’s Retreat, built in 1986 with architect Gary Roger Baird, hosted the LPGA Sara Lee Classic from 1988 to 1999. Having been voted the “Best Golf Course in Nashville,” General’s Retreat is a “must play” when visiting the Nashville, Tennessee area.With the beautiful setting along the Cumberland River and a variety of tee placements, golfers of all capabilities will thoroughly enjoy the golf, scenery and hospitality offered at the Hermitage Golf Course.
The Cottages at Hermitage Golf Course radiate luxury and relaxation. With a private putting green and views of the course, our lodging gives some of the best views of the property. Our eight cottages are available year round, offering easy access to many of the golf course amenities. Each cottage is designed with a great room, two bedrooms (2 queen beds in each), kitchenette, two bathrooms and a screened porch. Each cottage sleeps up to 4 guests. Other amenities include: granite countertops, luxury linens from Matouk ®, 3 flat screen TVs, and wireless internet. Cottage guests will also have access to a private putting green, bunker and fire pit/waterfall area. These cottages are perfect for on-site lodging for golf groups, wedding parties/events, tournament guests, and corporate functions/retreats.

Property and Cancelation Policies :
Cottage reservation is only guaranteed on the basis of a valid credit card. Cancellations / amendments made prior to 30 days in advance, deposit is refunded and no cancellation penalty. Cancellations / amendments made after 30 days prior to the check-in date: full rental amount will be charged to the guest’s credit card used to guarantee the reservation and deposit is non refundable. No shows and early check-outs will be charged full rate to the credit card used to guarantee the reservation and no refunds.

Price and Taxes
- Reservations are not confirmed until credit card is placed on file and confirmation email is received.
- Rates quoted are based on your period of stay and are subject to change if you change your arrival and/or departure dates. Rates quoted are in USD Dollars. Rates are based on the number of cottages confirmed at time of booking. Rates are subject to 9.25% sales tax, 6% lodging tax and $2.50 per night city tax.
- A valid credit card is required upon check-in for payment of incidentals in addition to full payment of the room and prevailing government taxes. Our sales director will reach out within 24 hours of booking to confirm details.
- Full rental payment is due 30 days in advance of arrival. If booking within the 30 day period, full payment due a
- The renter is responsible for any taxes required by the state of Tennessee, including sales and use tax.
- You must be at least 21 years of age to check-in and register for a room.
- Check-in time is from 4pm onwards and check-out time is by 11am. HGC reserves the right to make changes to the check-in and check-out time.
- Check-in is contact free. You will receive a check in letter from HGC (1) day in advance of your arrival with door code and cottage number.
- Should you arrive at HGC prior to the normal check-in time, please approach HGC pro shop for assistance in storing your luggage until check-in is available.
- Late check-outs must be cleared by the Director of Cottage Sales at least 24 hours in advance. Late checkout is subject to additional fee's depending upon additional time needed.
- Stay and Play Packages available for additional fees.
- Tee Times are only guaranteed 60 days in advance by the pro shop.
- You may modify tee times up to 24 hours in advance. If you arrive at your tee time with fewer than the scheduled number of players or cancel within 24 hours before your tee time, the credit card on file will be charged for the full amount.

- HGC Clubhouse and Cottages, including screened-in porches, are non-smoking facilities. Smoking inside cottages or screened in porches will result in a minimum $250 cleaning fee.
- Prohibited Items include:

- Pets
- The host shall have no responsibility for lost, stolen, or abandoned items
- Coffee, cups, creamers, shampoo, conditioner, soaps, and trash bags are only provided for the first night’s rental. Cottages are not stocked with dishes, flatware, bottle openers, or similar items. Please plan accordingly. Daily cleaning service and restocking of amenities is NOT included in the total rental amount due hereunder. Changing of sheets and towels, room cleaning, and/or a restocking of amenities is subject to a fee of $75 fee and must be scheduled 10 days prior to your arrival date. Please report any problems in your cottage on your arrival date. If not reported, we must assume any damage or loss occurred during your occupancy.
- The renter agrees to indemnify the host and hold the host free and harmless from any damages or claims of any nature whatsoever against host caused by or due to the action or inaction of the renter and any and all individuals in the renter’s party and their guests. The renter understands that the renter will be liable for any damages negligently caused by the renter, any individual in the renter’s party, and all of their guests. The renter shall not hold the host responsible for any damages or claims of any kind whatsoever resulting from the renter’s stay, except for intentional acts of harm.
- The maximum capacity for overnight lodging in each cabin is 4 people. If more than 4 people occupy a cottage overnight, a $500 fee per night will apply. No more than 8 people may be present in each cottage at any time; if this provision is violated, the security deposit will not be returned.
- In case of any proceeding arising out of this agreement or renter’s stay at the cottage or use of the facilities in which host prevails, renter shall pay all costs, expenses, and reasonable attorneys' fees incurred by host. BOTH RENTER AND HOST WAIVE TRIAL BY JURY IN ANY PROCEEDING ARISING OUF OF THIS AGREEMENT OR RENTER’S STAY AT THE COTTAGES OR USE OF THE FACILITIES.
