Hello! We are glad that you have chosen to stay at Alexander’s Landing and look forward to hosting you during your visit to Monticello. If you have any questions prior to your arrival, please call (574) 583-3511 or email us at alanding@turnkeycommunities.com. To make the stay of each guest memorable and enjoyable, we request that you read the information below before arriving onsite. These rules are strictly enforced for your safety and the enjoyment of all our guests. We appreciate you sharing this information with those traveling with you.
Parking Parking is extremely limited. We do not have enough parking for each unit at the resort parking lot. These spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Please be considerate of posted signs and other guests. Free parking is available up the hill in the Indiana Beach lot. Cars and their contents are left at the owner’s/customer’s own risk. We do not accept responsibility for loss or damage however caused (save as may not be excluded or restricted by applicable law).
Unit Locations Units 1-4 are located in the front building facing the road. Units 5-7 are located by the water. To access units 5-7 and the Celebrity, please take the sidewalk past the pool. The Celebrity Unit door is in the rear of the property as you go left at the hot tub. The Penthouse door access is through the office lobby.
Check In/Out Check in time is 4:00 pm. Check out time is 11:00 am. Early check in is available upon room availability for a fee of $40. Late check out till 1:00 can be granted for a fee of $40.
Refund/Cancellation Policy Cancellations or changes made to reservations prior to 48 hours before check-in will be refunded full charges, Cancellations or changes made to reservations 48 hours or less prior to check-in, or no-shows are subject to full charges Payment Processing Due to not having staff in the office full-time Alexander’s Landing will contact you up to 48-hours prior to check-in to get all your guest details and payment information. Your damage deposit will be authorized, and any charges still owed will be processed at this time.
Resort Fee Guests staying in the resort may use the resort common area amenities throughout the duration of their stay. A condition of using the use of the facilities is that you must comply with the rules posted throughout the property and listed in the in-room binder. Guests will be subject to a $10 per night resort fee on each reservation.
Damage Deposit At the time of check-in, we will authorize a  $250.00 deposit hold for units 1-7, $150-Unit 5, and a $500.00 deposit hold for the Celebrity and Penthouse Suites for the duration of your stay against your credit/debit card. Upon check out this amount will be released back to the card that was authorized.
Additional Fees for Non-Compliance Alexander’s Landing is proud to be one of the premier resorts in the area. To help us keep it that way for your next stay, there are additional fees that will be assessed if resort rules and check-out procedures are not followed, including but not limited to: Smoking of any kind is not permitted inside the rooms or inside the pool enclosure. Each unit has a designated outside smoking area. $300 cleaning fee for the removal of smoke and allergens We have provided you kitchen utensils to make your stay convenient. All dishes must be washed and left to dry at check-out. Inventory is taken after each stay and missing items will be charged to the authorized card. $40 dish washing fee if left for housekeeping to wash We require that at the end of you stay you remove your trash from your room and place it in the blue containers by the parking lot. There are some spare bags available under the sinks for diapers, etc. should you need to take the trash out daily. Please see the manager if additional bags are needed. $25 trash removal fee if full waste containers left in the room Items Missing from your room will be charged at the following rates: Towels: $15 per Towel Pillows: $20 per Pillow Blankets: $25 per Blanket, Hair Dryer: $20 Umbrella: $25 per Umbrella
Additional Charges We reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the resort during your stay (including, without limitation, specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing when you leave. Inventory is conducted prior to arrival and upon departure.
Reservation Guarantee Your room/unit will be guaranteed for late arrival.
Total Charges Totals listed here are estimated based on current taxes and exchange rates (if applicable) and do not include additional fees/charges that may be incurred during your stay.
Minimum Age to Rent This property requires that you are at least 21 to check in.
Guest Count per Room Total maximum number of guests per room/unit is indicated clearly on the booking page and strictly enforced. Children age 1 and older are considered an occupant. If you have more guests than the rented unit’s occupancy, you will not be allowed to check-in. If you attempt to bring in additional guests to stay in the unit, your reservation could be terminated with no refund.
Currency Unless specified otherwise, rates are quoted in US dollars.
Rates Rates quoted are based on check-in date and length of stay. Should you choose to depart early, price is subject to change.
Reservation Modification We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the reservations contain or resulted from a mistake or error.
Accepted forms of Payment We accept the following methods of payment: credit cards: American Express, MasterCard/Diners International, Diners Club, Visa.
Illegal Substances For the protection of all guests at the resort, the use of illegal substances is prohibited by Indiana state law and in no way permitted at the resort. If it is observed that the use of illegal substances has occurred in the room, your stay will be cancelled with no refund. Smoking cleaning fees also apply.
Amenity Age Restrictions Children under 18 years of age must always be accompanied by an adult. For health and safety reasons children under 18 are not permitted to use the hot tub.
Loss of Use At certain times, amenities may become unavailable due to maintenance, adverse weather conditions or other reasons beyond our control. We will attempt to keep all guests informed of these circumstances however this may not always be possible. If any facility is a significant reason for your choice of the resort, we would advise you to check directly with the resort in advance of arrival.
Events Please be aware that at certain times throughout the year our resort may host weddings, events and parties, which you may feel would be an intrusion on your break. Please contact the resort directly in advance of your stay for further information.
Code of Conduct Guests are always required to conduct themselves appropriately and to comply with resort procedures and/or requests about conduct and respect for the property of the resort, its employees and guests and their health and safety. Guests are requested not to disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of other guests, the smooth running of the resort, or cause offence to other guests or our members of staff. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or remove you and members of your party from the resort if, in our reasonable opinion, we consider this provision to have been breached. Where this is the case, management shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expense incurred.
Pool & Spa Hours The pool and spa is open from 9:00 am till 10:00 pm every day for guest of the hotel. No glassware is allowed in the pool area. If you swim in the lake you must shower prior to entering the pool or spa. You must be over the age of 18 to use the spa.
Pets Guide dogs are accepted with prior arrangement at the resort’s discretion, but otherwise no pets are allowed at the property.
Liability The resort accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.
Loss or Damage The resort will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any property left in the resort other than as required under local innkeeper’s law.
Resort Liability The resort will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or pure economic loss or any loss of profit, goodwill or opportunity (whether caused by the negligence of the resort, its employees, contractor or agents or otherwise). The resort’s total liability shall not exceed the value of the charges received by it under this contract.
