Welcome to Aurora Fjord Cabins

Far way from light pollution and with an incredible view out over the fjord, these mini cabins are the perfect place for couples craving tranquillity. With floor to ceiling windows these cabins boast uninterrupted views of the fjords and mountains.

These self-catering cabins are within walking distance of Aurora Spirit, the Worlds northern most distillery and instant access to nature and hiking trails. A romantic retreat and perfect for relaxing whilst enjoying the north Norwegian elements. 
We have two catergories of cabins which accommodates up to 2 guests. 

9 Waterside Cabins with Floor to Ceiling Windows with unspoilt views of the fjord and mountains
1 Deluxe Cabin with Private Jacuzzi with spectacular fjord and mountain views

All cabins have a modern style, inspired by Scandinavian design and elements from the Distillery.  
Each Cabin has one bedroom, a livingroom with small kitchen and a shower room with toilet.  
Every Cabin is equipped with: 
  • Small Kitchen which includes Dishwasher, Stove, Oven, Microwave, Fridge (no freezer), and sink, filter coffee machine, and kettle.  
  • We provide a starter pack of dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and toilet paper & coffee 
  • Towels & Linen 
  • Crockery, Glasses, Cutlery and Pots and Pans 
We do not provide other food items so please bring everything you need with you. The nearest store is in Lyngseidet and there are no restaurants on site.

Property and Cancelation Policies :
Please carefully read our cancellation policy. Rarely can we make any exceptions to this, and our team is instructed to follow this policy and rules. So, to save any misunderstanding we would be grateful if you can observe the following: 

  • All cancellations and reductions in numbers should be notified as soon as possible by email to  
  • Any cancellations within the 21-day period prior to the date of arrival will result in the group leader being held liable for the full cost of the cancelled accommodation.  
  • Cancellations made before 18:00, 21 days prior to arrival at the accommodation are entitled to a 100% refund. 
  • Please note that these terms do not apply for packages, where typically a refund will not be given within 60 days of arrival unless stated otherwise. 
  • In case of a no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged and is non- refundable. 
Force Majeure 
  • In the event of you having to cancel your accommodation/activites due to Force Majeure or Unforessen Circumstance,  Aurora Spirit Experience/Aurora Spirit AS will not be liable for any loss damage or expense resulting from force majeure or any unforeseen circumstances outside of their control. These include (for example), inclement (bad) weather, government intervention, road closures, travel, airline, ferry disruption including cancellations, tunnel closures, a change in the law, epidemic and/or pandemics, change of venue for safety purposes or any other circumstances outside of thier control. 
If We Cancel or Make Changes  
  • In the event of us having to cancel your accommodation the full deposit will be refunded.
  • Aurora Spirit Experience/Aurora Spirit AS will not be liable for any loss damage or expense resulting from force majeure or any unforeseen circumstances outside of their control. These include (for example), inclement (bad) weather, government intervention, road closures, travel, airline, ferry disruption including cancellations, tunnel closures, a change in the law, epidemic and/or pandemics, change of venue for safety purposes or any other circumstances outside of thier control. 
  • We will endeavour to make sure the stated property is available for the dates contracted. In the unlikely event the property becomes not available, and the property owner must cancel the booking, the property owner will endeavour to find the guest(s) suitable alternative accommodation. If suitable alternative accommodation cannot be found, the guest(s) shall be entitled to a full refund. The property owner shall only be liable to return the monies received. No compensation or consequential losses shall be paid. 
COVID 19/Pandemics 
  • If you have to cancel or change your travel plans due to Covid-19: We recommend that you have a valid travel insurance. If you make a booking for our accommodation the bookings made directly through us are fully refunded IF Cancellations are made before 18:00, 21 days prior to the scheduled stay and our within our terms and conditions. Please be aware that you are only eligible for a change in your booking if a FULL COMPULSORY travel ban is actioned by either the Norwegian government or the government of your departure country to Norway, meaning you are not allowed to travel to Norway. Proof of a travel ban will be required before changes are processed. We are unable offer full refunds outside of our normal terms and conditions.

Terms and Conditions

Allocation of Cabins  
When you make a reservation, you are booking a cabin type (not a specific cabin). Each cabin type includes similar cabins of equivalent size and equipment; however, interior design can be different. Reservations can only be taken and confirmed by making an advance payment or the full rental amount. This can be paid using debit and credit cards, bank transfer and PayPal (online).  
We will aim to process your booking within 72 hours of receiving your request. Please note, your booking has not been made or verified until you receive a confirmation email from us. 

The Standard Booking price includes the following: 
  • All taxes 
  • Utilities (water and electricity) 
  • WIFI (please note this can be unstable due to the rural location) 
  • Towels, bed linen and hairdryer 
  • Cleaning before and after your stay (we do reserve the right to issue an excessive cleaning policy above normal use). 
The Deluxe Cabin with Private Jacuzzi  
The Deluxe cabin is our most popular cabin and gets booked months in advance, however ALL of our cabins have beautiful panoramic views of the fjords.The private jacuzzi is only for use with guests who have booked and paid for this cabin. If you want to check availability of the Deluxe Cabin during your stay please feel free to contact us , there will be an additional charge for this.   

Please note smoking is NOT allowed in our cabins. If any evidence of smoking is found in the cabin including any of the building areas such the entrance area, we have the right to impose an additional deep clean fee and fine. This will be a minimum of 3000kr. Please note that we comply with the local health and safety guidelines and recommendations provided by the EEC on smoking in public places.  

Please Note: Immediate termination of the short term rental agreement is possible if:  
  • More guests stay in the property than agreed (our cabins have a maximum of 2 guests unless agreed in advance). 
  • Excessive noise is made in the evening hours or at night 
  • Sub-letting the cabin you have rented (or giving it to other people). The number of people residing in the cabin should be the same as confirmed in the booking. Accommodation for additional guests maybe requested and additional charge of 500kr per person per night will beapplied. This is restricted to 1 additional guest per cabin, cannot be guaranteed and is subject to availability. We reserve the right to apply an additional cost of 500kr per night and cancel any reservation, without refund, if an unconfirmed number of people stay overnightin the cabin/s. 
  • Aurora Fjord Cabins do not allow any pets in all of the cabins. We have one pet friendly cabin so please contact us in advance so we can check availability. There is an additional cost of 450kr to cover this. Please email for information. A minimum of a 1000kr fine will be claimed if pets are brought without confirmation to cover the deep cleaning.  
  • All our guests are asked to respect the property and privacy of the neighbours in the cabin and to not make any excessive noise between the hours of 22:00 and 08:00. Any late and loud partying is not, unfortunately, permitted. 
  • Aurora Fjord Cabins (Aurora Spirit Distiilery AS) is not responsible for lost or forgotten personal things at the cabins or premises. 
During your stay, the apartment and all equipment and furniture should be treated with care and kept in order. Immediate notification to Aurora Fjord Cabins staff will be expected if any damages or breakages happen in the cabin. 
You (The guest) is financially responsible for any damage to the cabin/s. This includes losses caused by you (The guest(s)) or a third party negligent actions and behaviour. A summary check will be made of the apartment check-out time. However, a more detailed review of the condition of the apartment and all equipment and facilities will be made soon after check-out and before another guest occupies the cabin. The guest is responsible for any damages or breakages found that are over and above normal wear and tear and usage. In this case, a detailed statement of damage along with an invoice for the repair or replacement cost will be sent by email or SMS immediately.  
Any costs will be deducted from the deposit (if applicable) immediately if this is still possible. Any costs will be claimed by return if they are greater than the deposit or where the deposit has already been returned. Please note, immediate notification after check-out of any damages to, breakages in or issues with the apartment is expected. 
Aurora Fjord Cabins (Aurora Spirit Distiilery AS) can then take any necessary action to resolve any issues and make sure all the equipment and facilities are working and provided as expected. If on check in you discover any damage or breakages, please contact us via email  
The costs of damages or cleaning beyond what would be expected after responsible usage of the cabin will be deducted from the stored credit card, and the refunded amount will be the remainder of the damage deposit.
