Reservation Policy 
Your reservation is guaranteed until the day of arrival. After that time, it will no longer be guaranteed, and the room may be reassigned. We will charge your credit card within 1 days after we have confirmed your reservation.
The deposit amount is the first day room charge. 
The hotel has the right to cancel your reservation if we do not receive the Pre-Payment Deposit. We will send you a cancellation confirmation via email immediately after cancelling your booking. 

Cancellation Policy 
When given at least 30 days’ notice prior to your arrival, any deposit taken will be refunded less a $50 CDN service charge for each room booked.
When given less than 30 days’ notice prior to your arrival 1 night stay will be charged (deposit amount)
When given less than 15days` notice prior to your arrival full stay will be charged

Check-In / Check-out  
Check-In You can check-in 3 PM – 10 PM local time.   
Check-out You can check-out any time up until 11AM by local time.
Later check-out times may be requested although we may not always be able to accommodate late changes and will depend on availability and on how busy we are.   
We are here for you daily from 7AM till 10PM but special arrangements can be made upon request. 

Price policy
All prices are stated in CAD. The prices stated are without tax, the tax will be added. The room rate includes a nice, rich European style breakfast in the dining area. Dinner and drinks will be charged extra or it is part of a special offer and listed in this one.

Smoking Policy
Breathe easy – the 45 Steps Inn is a non-smoking property including outdoors. This applies to both traditional smoking methods and all electronic delivery systems, including vapes, vaporizers, vape pens, hookah pens, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes or e-cigs), e-pipes, and any variations of the foregoing regardless of the product’s name. Any smoking in the rooms or strong lingering smoking scents in rooms will result in a disappointed look and a room cleaning fee will be applied. 

Restaurant / Kitchen Club
We love to be hosts but also we do need a break from time to time, therefore the restaurant will be closed every Sunday evening for the Season 25 (Mid June till end of September 2025). Please let us know if you would like some recommendations for restaurants nearby.
Monday to Saturday the restaurant/ kitchen club serves a 3 course Chefs Choice dinner that is around 60 CAD per person. A detailed menu will be sent to you about 2 days prior to your arrival. The menu is served on reservation only.

Rooms
 When you make a reservation, you are booking a room type (not a specific room). Each room type includes similar rooms of similar size and equipment; however, interior design can be different.   

Extending your stay 
After you have booked your stay with us, you can extend your stay (depending on availability) by simply letting us know before you arrive. 
If you are already staying with us and you would like to stay longer, please let us know at least 24 hours before your check- out date. We will do our best to accommodate your new plans, and this can include relocating you to a similar apartment should this be necessary.

Accessibility or Special Needs
In the Inn we have many stairs, not only to access the room itself but also in the lobby and dining area. Sadly this house is not ideal for people in wheel chairs. Please tell us your special needs at the time of reservation and we will do our best to accommodate you. 

Children Policy
Please understand that the hotel is a place where guests come to relax, we can not accept kids running around in the breakfast or dinning area. Furthermore activity games are not allowed in the rooms. We accept kids but we are not a typical family hotel with kids activities and playgrounds. Furthermore there are two people max per room including children of any age.

Dog Policy
Are we pet friendly? You bet! A maximum of two dogs are allowed in designated rooms (Executive rooms only).  Just make sure your furry friends do their business in the designated area and stay on a leash when outside the room. No pets in the lobby or restaurant areas (that’s the health department’s call and we’ve got to heed their rules). Pets cannot be left unattended in rooms at any time. While there is no pet fee, there is a 40$ cleaning fee per stay. Should your pet cause property or item damage, an incidental fee will be charged at market value to your credit card on file. No cats or venomous creatures.

Rooms Policy
We want you to have a great time when you are here. But if things get too crazy, we go by the old-school rule of ‘you break it, you buy it’ and property damages or missing items will be charged to your credit card at market value. Additional charges apply if rooms have to be renovated. Sing, have passionate conversation feel like at home, but from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the whole property goes into hush mode for what we like to call quiet time (or sleep time). 

Parking Policy
Vacations should be stress-free and for that reason, you get to park right in front of your room (or super close). By parking a vehicle at our facility, you are doing so on your own accord. The hotel does not take responsibility or accept liability for damage, accident or loss to your vehicle or personal property.

Force Majeure
If we are facing a force mauere incidence reservation can be canceled any time without any right of claim against us.

Liabilities
We did our best to make our hotel a save place. In case of misuse of installations or furniture no claim can be made. The use of the staircase to the beach is on your own risk. Our hotel is right at the water, walking on top of the cliff can be dangerous and we are not liable if an accident occurs. The beach is not supervised by us. Bathing is on everybody's own risk. Furthermore our kitchen is not free of nuts, shellfish or other alergenes. In case of an allergic reaction we are not liable. The same applies for our rooms.
