Tankavaara Gold Village offers accommodation year around, both in small authentic wilderness cabins and more modern Korundi apartments. Our cottages have been built to reflect the simple living of the gold prospectors while our Korundi apartments and rooms have more commodities.
New twin or double rooms: One bedroom, two separate beds or one double bed, private toilet and shower in every room. Sheets, towels and bedding are included. The room are situated just next to the reception. 23 rooms and 1 accessible room.
Wilderness Cottages 2-4 people: One bedroom, fireplace, electricity, bunk beds. Sheets, towels and bedding are included. Shared toilets, showers and kitchen are located in a separate maintenance building. Cottages do not have private bathrooms.

Korundi rooms and apartments 2-4 people: 2 person Korundi rooms have one bedroom with double bed or separate beds and private toilet and shower. 4 person Korundi apartments have two bedrooms; One downstairs and second bedroom upstairs. All apartments have private toilet and shower, fridge and fireplace. Bed linen, towels and bedding are included in all Korundi rooms and apartments.

Tankavaara Gold Village also has a camping area for caravan cars and tents. We have electricity for campers as well as a separate building that has toilets, shower and shared kitchen. Visitors have the possibility to rent a sauna as well.Reception is located in the same building as restaurant Old Gold Prospector. Reception is open every day 9-21. Please call +358 16 626 158 if you are arriving later than 21:00, so our staff can give instructions on how to collect keys.
Pets are allowed in the Gold Village. We will charge an extra cleaning fee of 25€ (not per night) for pets. Free wifi only at the reception/restaurant building. Possibility to rent traditional Finnish wood-fired sauna.
Things to do:
- Restaurant Old Gold Prospector is open year-round and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for all tastes like reindeer burgers, chicken wings and local fish.
- Guests can play billiards and darts free of charge at the Wild West Saloon, open daily.
- Tankavaara Gold Village also offers guided safaris in winter with reindeer, snowmobile and dog-sleds as well as gold panning experiences in summer.
- Goldmuseum is just 200 meters from the reception. The museum is open year-round.
- Urho Kekkonen National park with several nature trails starts just next to Gold Village. Trails are good for skiing and snowshoeing in winter and hiking in summer and autumn.
- Tankavaara is just by the main road E75 and easily accessed with a car or bus
- Airports: Ivalo airport 60km north, Rovaniemi airport 230km south
- We can arrange airport transportation from Ivalo airport. If you are arriving at Rovaniemi airport, we can help with direct bus timetables

1. BOOKING AND CONFIRMATION
In order to make a booking with us, write your name, address, phone number and estimated time of your arrival. Your confirmation letter will be sent automatically after you have made a reservation. Reservation is compulsory. Reservations made through online booking are required to be paid 14 days before your arrival date.In case the reservation has not been paid in advance it should be settled upon arrival at the reception.
2. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
The room is at your disposal from 14:00 on the day of your arrival. On your departure day the room must be vacated by midday 12:00. You can leave your luggage to the reception if needed. For safety reasons the maximum capacity per room or cottage may not be surpassed. Please let us know your estimated time of arrival at least couple of days beforehand if you know you will arrive after 21:00.
3. PAYMENT
We accept the most common credit/debit cards and cash (euros only).
We charge all reservations 14 days before arrival date. In case the reservation has not been paid in advance it should be settled upon arrival at the hotel by cash or credit card. Additional services must be paid upon your visit in the reception.
4.CANCELLATION, CHANGES AND NO SHOW

Changes to your reservation are free up to 14 days before arrival. Please note that all changes and cancellations are based on availability.
5. PETS
Pets are welcome to stay with us. Cleaning fee for pets is 25 euros. There are only certain rooms that are suitable for pets so please notice us always beforehand if you are traveling with a pet. Thank you!
6.RESPONSIBILITY ON YOUR VALUABLES
The hotel is not responsible for damage or disappearance of valuables whilst your stay.Keep a good care of your belongings.
7. GUEST RESPONSIBILITY ON DAMAGE
As a guest you are responsible for damage caused on purpose or by accident by you, your guest or your pet in the hotel room/cottage or in hotel premises. This applies also to the hotel furniture and other equipment, other guests in the hotel or their property. Tankavaara Gold Village has rights to charge the costs of caused damages at the hotel from the customer.
8. MINORS
Only a person over the age of 18 is allowed to stay in the hotel without a guardian.
There are a few rooms with possibility of extra bed. Cribs are available on request beforehand (limited quantity).
9.ADDITIONAL SERVICES
You can book additional services whilst staying at Tankavaara Gold Village such as restaurant services and activities.
10. LATE ARRIVALS
We prefer arrivals before 9pm but late arrivals are also possible if noted at least one(1) day before. Our reception is open daily 9am until 9pm.
11. GROUPS
If you book at least four rooms or more, please kindly inform the names of all the guests in advance by e-mail.
