St. Andrews By-The Lake Golf Resort is nestled in craggy
hills and features an award winning 9-hole golf course, clubhouse/lodge
with a large deck with stunning views of the course, a heated outdoor pool
(open early June to early/mid-September) and tennis courts. The golf course
features a lake lined with willow trees, complete with a challenging island
green. St. Andrews is home to wildlife such as our resident Painted Turtles, an
endangered species, and Bald Eagles. We are tucked away in an out-of-the way
setting but only a 15 minute drive from Penticton, a lovely little city with
two lakes and great restaurants.
Each lodge room features a queen bed with brand new
Serta Prestige Suite II mattress set, vinyl planking, blackout shades, cable
TV, walk-out patio overlooking the golf course, a small fridge and coffee
maker. One room is mobility friendly... please ask us if you wish to book this
room (if available). We also have a furnished Suite, with full kitchen,
living/dining room with pull-out Queen couch, bedroom with King bed &
ensuite, a 2nd bathroom, very large patio with it’s own BBQ. The Suite is available
with a minimum stay of 2 nights.
Our Hospitality Room has a large cable TV, desk,
microwave, toaster oven, iron/ironing board and extra supplies.
Our licensed Bistro serves lunch & supper choices such as beef dip,
steak sandwiches, burgers & fries, chicken fingers, sandwiches and soups
and is open seasonally (April through mid-October), 9 AM to 5 PM and 8 AM to 7
PM in the high season (hot food served 11 AM to 7 PM). Grab and go options are available
from 9 AM to 11 AM. A continental breakfast is offered gratis from June through September. We have a selection of pop, coolers, beer, beer on tap
and wine by the glass or bottle. We have food & drink specials every day during Happy Hours, daily from 3 - 5 PM.
During the golf season, our Pro Shop is open 7 days a week and is stocked
with all your golfing essentials. Room guests who book direct with us will
receive a discount on green fees for each night they stay (does not include
carts and discounts cannot be carried over or combined). Our rooms are heated and have A/C. We are
a small operation and do not have night staff so we ask our guests to please
arrive by 4 PM or else contact us before 4 PM to ensure you have your room and
code information (in addition, office staff do not work on weekends/holidays).
NEW: We have a 48-HOUR cancellation policy. For group reservations, there is
a cancellation policy of two weeks. Please, NO PETS except registered guide dogs. NO smoking anywhere on the premises, including rooms, patios
and decks (there is a designated smoking area south of the Lodge). We no longer
accept same-day bookings online, but please call (250) 497-5648 ext 6 (Mon -
Fri, except holidays) or call/text (236) 700-8820 outside of business
hours or email us at rooms@standrewsbythelake.com by 1 PM to check whether

Terms and Conditions
Arrival Information - On your day of arrival, we will send you arrival information (room # and code) so that you can access your room.
Check-in and Check-out
Check-in is from 3 PM. If you have not received your room & code information via email, please contact us by email at rooms@standrewsbythelake.com or call the administration office at (250) 497-5648 ext 6 or call/text (236) 700-8820 to ensure you have/receive this information (which is sent to the email on file; Booking.comguests will receive a message via the Booking.com portal).Note that the administration office is only open during business hours (Monday to Friday 8 – 4, except holidays). Call/text (236) 700-8820 during evening/weekend hours. You may also call the Pro Shop at (250) 497-5648 ext 2 which is open seven days a week during the season.
Early Check-in - if early check-in is required, please check with staff in the event your room MAY be available. Under no circumstances will there be any check-in's prior to noon. We also ask you not to go to the room level, in order to allow our housekeepers space to work. If you arrive early, please feel free to sit in the Bistro area.
Check-out is by 10 AM.
Late check-out – please ask staff if you can check out late (until 11 AM); this is dependent on availability. After 11 AM, you will be required to pay $25 per hour to a maximum of 2 hours (1 PM). If your late check out exceeds these 2 hours, you will be required to pay another night's accommodation.
Booking & Cancellation
Changes - date changes are subject to room availability and rate differences may apply. If you have more than one night booked and leave part-way through your stay, the cancellation policy still applies.
Cancellations – we now have a two-week (14 day cancellation period). Please send an email to rooms@standrewsbythelake.com or call/text 236.700.8820. If you booked with Booking.com, please ensure you cancel on their site; otherwise your reservation will not be cancelled. A booking can be canceled without charge if notice is given to St. Andrews By The Lake 15 days prior to your arrival day. If cancellation is made within the two-week cancellation period, your deposit will not be refunded. If there are circumstances beyond your control, such as an Act of God, we may offer a credit for a future stay.
No Show - if you fail to arrive for your stay or stay a partial night, as this is within the two week cancellation period, there will be no refunds. Please see the cancellation policy above.
Multiple room bookings - if you have booked more than one room, you are responsible for informing all guests of our policies and procedures, rates, terms and conditions. You are also responsible for payment of all reserved rooms.
Occupancy
Maximum occupancy per room - accommodations are normally meant for two persons. There is one queen bed per room. There are now single airbeds available (76" long x 42" wide x 20" deep) which can be booked for $25/airbed/night. The Suite has a King bed and normally accommodates two, plus a pull-out couch which sleeps two. A Queen-size Aerobed is available for $25/airbed/night. Please ask for the air beds so we can set them up for you.
Pets - no pet are allowed; however, we will accept registered service dogs with proper documentation. A certificate with handler’s name, dog’s name, registration # and expiry date, must be provided upon check-in. A fee of $25 will apply for a 1-night stay and $5 for each additional day. If we discover that you have brought your pet without permission, you will be charged a $100 cleaning fee.
Payment
Taxes of 5% GST and 8% B.C. hotel tax are added to rates.
Payment - All bookings will require a 50% deposit charged to the credit card provided, upon booking, in order to hold the reservation. If cancellation is received within the two-week cancellation period, the deposit will be forfeit. If cancellation is received prior to the cancellation period (15 days or more), the deposit will be returned. The remaining 50% will be charged to the credit card provided upon booking 13 days prior to your arrival. If you wish to use a different credit card for payment, please provide the card information at least 2 - 3 weeks before your arrival.
Golf - paid guests who book direct with us will receive a discount on golf fees for each day of their stay (either 9 or 18 holes per day); the discount cannot be carried over or combined with any other promotion and does not include carts. Please book with the Pro Shop well in advance at (250) 497-5648 ext 2. The golf course is normally open April through late October, depending on weather conditions.
BBQ - guests may use the communal BBQ during their stay but we ask that they bring their own disposable containers and dishes. Please follow all posted instructions. You may not do any washing up of utensils or dishes in your room. If the BBQ or rules are not followed or are abused, you will be charged $100 for a cleaning fee or $400 for replacement of the BBQ. Suite guests have a separate BBQ and BBQ tools and dishes are provided.
Bistro - the Painted Turtle Bistro is open seasonally from April through mid/late October (in conjunction with the golf course). Hours for 2024 are 9 AM to 7 PM through the high season and 9 to 6 starting Labour Day and 9 - 5 from September 23 to the end of the season. (grab & go from 8 - 10; hot food from 10 AM). Brunch is available from 10 AM to 1 PM Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Happy Hour food & drink specials are available daily from 2 - close. Last call is half an hour before close. A Continental Breakfast is included during high season through September 15, 2024. A brown bag breakfast is availalable from September 16 until the Bistro closes.
Parking is on-site and is free. Please do not block the fire lane, golf carts or garbage/recycling bins. Please do not drive on cart paths.
Pool - the outdoor pool is available for guest use on a seasonal basis (mid June through early September). Please follow all posted rules and procedures.
Conduct & House Rules
Conduct - customers are required to conduct themselves in a reasonable and responsible manner and must not act in any way which may disturb other guests. Failure to adhere to this requirement may result in customers being asked to leave the resort, in which event all additional charges shall become immediately payable by the customer(s). Any guest(s) who, in the opinion of our staff, compromise the comfort, safety or security of other guests, staff or local residents will be asked to leave the resort premises. Guests are expected to respect other guests as well as staff and property. The customer will be responsible for any loss or damage the customer has caused.
Personal Property - it is a guest’s responsibility to ensure that personal belongings are secure at all times. St. Andrews By The Lake accepts no liability for the loss, theft, or damage to guests’ property, however sustained or caused. Please keep your vehicle doors locked at all times. If you bring bicycles, please ensure they are secured to your vehicle; they may also be secured to a post under the deck.
No Smoking/Vaping - the Clubhouse/Lodge is 100% smoke-free. Smoking is not permitted in the rooms, patios, any part of the Lodge, or the upper deck. Smoking/vaping is only allowed in the designated smoking area(s). Should it be brought to our attention that smoking has taken place in your room, a cleaning fee of $200 will be assessed. Guests will be asked to leave the premises immediately. A refund will not be issued.
