Terms and Conditions

Because we are a boutique property, it is very difficult to re-book our rooms for last minute cancellations.  If you cancel with less than 14 day’s notice, payment is non refundable.  For those unsure about their plans, we recommend purchasing trip insurance (google “trip insurance”) to accommodate any changes or emergencies.

As we are a boutique property, we also have a “boutique sized” housekeeping staff.  Late check outs can be accommodated at an additional fee of $25+.  Exceeding check-out times without notifying the front desk in advance can result in extra room charges, including, but not limited to, late check-out fees ($25 first 30 minutes) and/or extra night’s charges being applied to your bill.

_______ ROOM CAPACITY IS 2: 2 person limit in all rooms 
Freeport Wine Country Inn has a 2 person limit for who may occupy a particular guest room in the hotel and only allow registered guests to use its facilities.  A $35 charge per each additional person over two will be automatically applied to the invoice.  Failure to otherwise comply with this policy can result in eviction, with no refund of any money paid or owing in connection with the stay.

_______ PAYMENT POLICY
Payment in full upon booking reserves your room. A valid credit/debit card is required at the time of booking. $100 hold will be held on your card for any incidentals 

IF GUEST WOULD LIKE TO PAY CASH: - We still require a credit card to secure your reservation.  Please let us know upon making your reservation. Your credit card may still have a “hold” put on the amount until full payment in cash is received.  We charge a $35 processing fee to redo payment on another card or by cash once we charge the original card on file.

_______ EARLY DEPARTURES
All departures prior to date agreed at time of check-in will be subject to an additional night’s room and tax charge.

______  MINORS
Where a minor is accompanied by an adult, we require the adult to agree not to leave any minor 12 years of age or younger unattended at any time during their stay, and to control the minor’s behavior during their stay so as to preserve the peace and quiet of our other guests and to prevent any injury to any person and damage to any property. (Civil Code Section 1865(d).)  Any failure to otherwise comply with this policy can result in eviction, with no refund of any money paid or owing in connection with the stay. 

______  DAMAGES and MISSING ITEMS
Any person who themselves or their guests negligently or intentionally causes damage to the hotel or any furniture or furnishings within the hotel, shall be liable for damages sustained by the hotel and/or staff, including the hotel’s loss of revenue resulting from the inability to rent or lease rooms while the damage is being repaired. Guest is responsible for the cost of replacing any damaged or lost items, the cost to replace, repair will be billed to the Guest. GUEST is responsible for any damages done by self or minor. 
 

______  GENERAL POLICIES

Freeport Wine Country Inn has a zero-tolerance policy in which it will refuse to admit or refuse service or accommodation in the hotel or may remove a person who: while on the premises of the hotel acts in an obviously intoxicated or disorderly manner, destroys or threatens to destroy hotel property, or causes or threatens to cause a public disturbance; or refuses or is unable to pay for the accommodations or services. Quiet time is between the hours of 10pm and 8am for the comfort and safety of our Guests.

______ LOST KEYS 
Freeport Wine Country Inn will charge GUEST $25 per missing key  

_______ ALCOHOL
Alcoholic beverage consumption (wine and beer only) is restricted to those 21 years or older with valid identification. There is No Hard alcohol allowed or CONSUMED on Site. If Hard Alcohol is found Freeport Wine Country Inn reserves the right to evict the GUEST with no money returned. 

_______ SMOKING
We do not permit smoking, Vaping, candles or incense burning in any of our guest rooms.    The Inn is a totally non-smoking facility in which we enforce for the safety and comfort of our guests.  Guests who smoke in their room, or who allow this by others in their room will be charged a minimum of $250 and up to $500 deodorizing and cleaning fee. Smoke permeates the rugs, bedspreads, pillows, curtains, etc. and it may become necessary for us to remove smoke odors by cleaning all the curtains, bed linens, carpets and in some instances the room must be repainted to eliminate the persistent smoke odors.  Any failure to comply with this policy can result in eviction, with no refund of any money paid or owing in connection with the stay.

_______ PARKING
 is available in back of the Inn. Please do not park at Freeport Bar and Grill – they will tow your car. Please let us know if you have any questions. 

______   PETS
Freeport Wine Country Inn does not allow pets due to concerns that some guests have allergic reactions towards pet dander and due to the threat of ticks and fleas.  A mandatory $250 fee will be charged to any one that brings a pet into a guest room.  We do however accommodate registered service dogs.  Guests are responsible for any damages caused by their service dog.  Any failure to comply with this policy can result in eviction, with no refund of any money paid or owing in connection with the stay.

_______ LOST & FOUND
Freeport Wine Country Inn is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal items.  Should any guests lose personal belongings while staying at Freeport Wine Country Inn, if recovered, the item will be recorded as “found”.  Freeport Wine Country Inn keeps detailed records of all “found” items, and will make a reasonable effort to contact the guest if an item is left in the hotel’s guest room after the guest has checked-out which will be placed in our Lost & Found safety box.  We will ship items back at the owner’s expense (shipping charge plus $20 handling fee).  Any items in the Lost & Found, which are not claimed within sixty (60) days, will be donated to a local charity or discarded.
