Our hotel sits in the Cordillera Negra overlooking at the most impressive ice peaks of the Cordillera Blanca, the highest tropical mountain range in the world. Conceived originally as a country house for friends and family, the hotel has hosted guests from all around the world. The plot is surrounded by Peru's most imposing peaks, including "Huascaran", Peru's highest peak at 6,768m. The hotel houses 7 unique bedrooms with incredible views of the mountains.

Cancellation of Reservations - Regular Rate
Hello! If you need to cancel your reservation, here’s how to do it in the easiest way:
1. Cancellations 45 days or more in advance: You can cancel individually and receive a refund. Just send us an email at reserva@cuestaserena.pe and wait for our confirmation.
2. Cancellations between 44 and 7 days before your stay; Don’t worry, you will be entitled to a credit that you can use for another visit or even give away or sell to your friends. This credit will be valid for one year from the date of your reservation.
3. Cancellations less than 7 days in advance: Unfortunately, in this case, we will not be able to offer a refund or credit.
Please note: Although we process refunds immediately, the time it takes for the funds to reach your account may take up to 40 business days due to financial regulations in Peru.
Additionally, date changes can only be made once and credits are valid for 12 months from the cancellation date. Please remember that date changes will not be valid during holidays or days close to holidays.
Cancellation of Reservations - No Breakfast Rate:
In this case, we regret to inform you that the reservation cannot be canceled or refunded.

Terms and Conditions
Taxes:
Hello! We want to ensure that your experience with us is as comfortable as possible. According to local tax laws, Peruvian citizens and foreigners staying in Peru for more than 59 days must pay an additional 10%. If you are a foreign guest on a business trip and request a printed invoice, you will also need to pay this same 10%, regardless of the length of your stay. Please note that this tax is not automatically included in the total of your reservation.
Breakfast:
When you book through our website, your rate includes a delicious à la carte gourmet breakfast. We have options for all tastes: vegan, vegetarian, plant base, lactose-free, and gluten-free. You just need to coordinate this with the hotel. Breakfast is served from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. If you arrive before or after this time, there’s an additional cost of $45 plus IGV and a 10% service charge.
If there are cancellations by the Peruvian or local government, only a date change will be considered, which is valid for 18 months from the cancellation date.
Check-In and Check-Out:
Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. and check-out is at 11:00 a.m. If you need an earlier check-in or a later check-out, please check availability for an additional cost of $150. Note that early check-in does not include breakfast.
The hotel gates will be closed from 9:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. If you plan to arrive during these hours, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance via WhatsApp at +51 957 383 195.
Reservation Confirmation:
To confirm your reservation, we require full payment at the time of booking. Once we receive your payment, we will send you your reservation confirmation via email. Remember that reservations are only valid with full payment of the rate.
Service Charge:
A 10% service charge will apply for all additional consumption at the hotel (food, beverages, spa services). We also charge a corkage fee of $20 per bottle of wine, $7 per beer, and $50 per liquor. Please note that outside food and beverages are not allowed in the hotel restaurant or common areas.
Extra Bed and Children:
If you need an extra bed, there is a cost of $45, which includes an additional bed and breakfast. Children under 3 years old do not pay if they sleep in existing beds with their parents and consume from adult plates. There will be a charge for any additional consumption ordered for the child. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult, and the hotel is not responsible for accidents due to parental negligence.

Pets:
We love furry friends! Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash within our premises. A fee of $150 per dog will apply. It is the guests' responsibility to pick up after their pets. Pets must not be left unattended in rooms or hotel areas, and a penalty equivalent to one night's accommodation will be imposed for this violation.
Arrival at Cuesta Serena:
When arriving at Cuesta Serena, please note there is a 800-meter drive through vegetation. Please follow the signs that will guide you to our retreat.
Accommodation Rules:
We reserve the right to deny admission for reasons of age and morality. All guests must present their ID or passport at the time of check-in.
Custody Values:
Cuesta Serena is not responsible for jewelry, money, electronics, or other valuables left unattended in rooms or hotel areas.
Linen and Towels:
Towels, sheets, robes, and other items in each room are inventoried. Charges will be applied for repairing or replacing any damaged or missing item at check-out. It is prohibited to remove towels or other items from Cuesta Serena Boutique Hotel.
Laundry:
Laundry service is available from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. To use the laundry service, please go to the administration. Charges are based on weight and must be paid at check-out. We do not offer dry cleaning services.
Pool:
The pool is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The use of the pool is the exclusive responsibility of the guest; we do not have lifeguards on duty. It is prohibited to wear shoes and clothing that are not swimwear in the pool area. Please ask the administration if you need hotel towels.
Huayrongo Restaurant:
Our restaurant is open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Outside food or beverages are not allowed in the Boutique Hotel Cuesta Serena facilities. The corkage fee is $20 per bottle of wine, $50 per bottle of liquor, and $2 per bottle of beer. Please inform the bar manager how many bottles you wish to consume and when you would like them opened.
Room Keys:
If you lose your room keys, there will be a cost of $40. If you want us to clean your room, please let us know in the morning by leaving your keys.
