Property Information

FlowEdge Riverside Getaway is a magical place where nature meets luxury. Situated on 200 acres of land, FlowEdge is only 30 minutes away from YHZ International Airport and 45 minutes from Halifax.

Stargaze from the comfort of a luxury king-size bed, relax in your own wood-fired hot tub, take a refreshing rain shower after a hike, watch the fire as you cuddle by the bay window, and cook your loved one a delicious meal in our fully stocked kitchen.

Staying at FlowEdge is a wonderful chance to recharge in a spot where you can truly relax and take in the beauty of Canadian nature. Our domes are extremely well spaced out, and you can enjoy real privacy, even though a deer or two may occasionally visit. With your dome comes a wood-fired hot tub, a large deck, and a spot to have a fire.

On the property we also have a 4-bedroom 3-level Design Farmhouse that can accommodate up to 8 people. This house is perfect for families or groups of friends. The Design Farmhouse comes with a large hot tub, game room with an arcade machine, air hockey, and foosball table, a dedicated yoga room, a patio with a bbq, and a custom-made huge 8-person dining table.

A fully accessible A-Frame is coming in 2024.

This is the getaway you know you have been longing for!

Terms and Conditions

Damage Deposit
Guests must have a credit card on file with FlowEdge to accommodate a damage deposit. The day before guests check in, a damage deposit pre-authorization of $500 will be made on the credit card.

This damage deposit can be used to cover any damages to the property caused by the guest or any individuals associated with the guest. This includes but is not limited to damages to the hot tub* and other systems from incorrect use, missing items, excessive cleaning, late checkouts, unpaid items from the mini-bar, smoking indoors, and other expenses incurred by FlowEdge resulting from the guest’s behaviour.

If no damage has been incurred, the $500 pre-authorization to the guest’s card will be released within 3-10 business days after checkout, depending on the card owner’s bank’s policy and processing times. In cases where damages exceed $500, the guest’s credit card will be charged for repairs and supporting documentation will be provided.

Upon check in, the guest is responsible for reporting any pre-existing damage to FlowEdge staff to avoid being charged for the damages.
*Be sure to review the FlowEdge Hot Tub Usage Instructions to avoid potential damages.

Check In/Check Out
Check-in instructions will be sent to guests prior to check-in date once they have signed the FlowEdge Guest Agreement. Check in time is 3 PM and check out time is 10 AM. Late checkout without prior arrangement is subject to an hourly fee of $50 which can be deducted from the security deposit. Depending on availability, an early check in or late check out can be purchased in advance for an additional fee.

Parking Policy
Parking is limited to the maximum number of 2 cars at Dome accommodations and 4 cars at Design Farmhouse accommodations. Guests shall not exceed the maximum number of vehicles allowed at each property. By parking a vehicle at our facility, guests are doing so on their own accord. FlowEdge does not take responsibility or accept liability for damage, accident or loss to guest’s vehicle or personal property. We also request that guests drive on the road, as driving off road into the woods can damage the vehicle and our site.

We do have surveillance cameras on site so if anything seems amiss, let us know, and we’ll check out the footage. And if you plan on leaving your car in our parking lot for any reason, be sure to let us know, as we reserve the right to tow vehicles.

Accommodation Type Policy
By making a reservation you are booking an accommodation type rather than a specific unit. The Design Farmhouse and the A-Frame are unique accommodations. We have 5 domes on the property. They are the same size and have similar amenities and only differ by how many people they can accommodate and a few other design elements. All our domes and the A-Frame are located along the Musquodoboit River.

Guest Requests and Staff Hours
FlowEdge staff hours of operation are 9 AM - 8 PM daily. However, if you encounter an issue that requires immediate attention, you can reach us 24/7 at 902-222-6611 (text or call) or 902-384-5222 (call only).

Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are 9 PM - 8 AM. Guests come to FlowEdge to recharge in nature. Please refrain from playing loud music or making a lot of noise while on premises to respect other guests. Noise level monitors are installed in every unit to notify staff when guests get too loud.

Spray Tan and Laundry Policy

We are a small family-owned operation and our laundry capacity is limited. We use all white premium pima cotton linens and predominantly white or light grey towels and robes. Please do your best not to soil the linens, robes, and towels beyond regular use. Spray tan will almost definitely stain the linens and you may be charged in case the linens become unusable. If you use spray tan, to avoid potential issues, please let us know in advance and we’ll use dark coloured linens and towels during your stay.

Reservation Policy
Reservations are to be prepaid at the time of booking. After payment is received, guest’s reservations are guaranteed until the day of arrival. If a signed agreement of the FlowEdge rules is not received prior to checkin time, your reservation may be cancelled without reimbursement and the accommodations may be reassigned. FlowEdge has the right to cancel your reservation if the damage deposit or full cost of the reservation is not received.

Termination of Stay
Immediate termination of the rental agreement without refund is possible if guests violate any of the FlowEdge rules including, but not limited to:

  • More guests staying in the property than noted in the booking;
  • Excessive noise during quiet hours (9 PM - 8 AM);
  • FlowEdge does not allow any pets in the accommodations;
  • Guests behave in ways threatening or offensive to staff or other guests; or
  • Excessive or disruptive consumption of drugs or alcohol.

Limit of Liability
Please note that the usage of the premises, including but not limited to the hot tub, fire pit, fireplace, the trails, the river, etc is at your own risk and you are responsible for your own safety and proper use of amenities.

By staying at FlowEdge, you acknowledge and agree that you assume all risks and liability for your own safety. We are not responsible for any injuries sustained while on our property, including but not limited to those sustained while hiking on our trails.

FlowEdge does not take responsibility or accept liability for damage, accident or loss to the guest’s property while at FlowEdge premises, including but not limited to damage done by third parties or acts of God. Any damages caused to the property by guests will result in additional charges.

Lost or Forgotten Property
FlowEdge is not responsible for lost or forgotten personal items at the property. We will do our best to find them and get them to you, but any and all lost or forgotten items returned will be at the expense of the guest.

Child Policy
Our Design Farmhouse is child and infant friendly, however our domes are very fragile and are not a good fit for young guests. Children under the age of 12 years are not permitted inside the dome accommodations. There are a lot of fragile items that are exceptionally hard to clean or replace if they get damaged, including the dome cover and insulation. If you are travelling with children under the age of 12 our Design Farmhouse accommodations are a perfect fit, as you will have access to an air hockey table, foosball, arcade machine, Disney+ and more.

Pet Policy
Although we love furry friends, pets are not permitted at any FlowEdge facilities. If any guests are found to have pets on premises it will automatically void all guest accommodations and the guest will be asked to leave immediately with no refund. If any evidence of pet presence is found past check out, a fee of $250 will be deducted from the damage deposit.

Kitchen Policy
Please refrain from cooking foods with strong odours indoors, such as seafood, curries, etc. An outdoor barbecue grill is provided for that purpose.

Please practise safe cooking habits, do not leave burners on unattended. Knives are sharp so be careful. The microwave will break if you use the microwave function with the metal grate for convection cooking left inside it.

Guests are expected to wash their dishes and put garbage in the appropriate receptacles before check out.

Smoking Policy
Smoking at FlowEdge is discouraged, however, if you cannot refrain from smoking during your stay, please limit smoking only to the far sides of the deck to avoid smoke blowing indoors and clean up any cigarette butts and ashes. If any evidence of smoking is found inside the accommodations, guests will be subject to a $250 charge. For each cigarette butt found in the area surrounding the accommodations, guests will be subject to a $20 charge.

Alcohol Policy
If you choose to consume alcohol, please drink responsibly. Heavily intoxicated individuals, especially ones causing trouble, are subject to removal from the property without reimbursement. This means respecting the quiet hours (9PM-8AM), and not leaving a mess. If there is a mess there will be an additional cleaning fee of $250 in addition to any damages.

Drug Policy
Controlled and Illegal drugs, as outlined by the government of Canada, are not permitted on site. Any guests found to be in position or using these substances will be asked to leave immediately with all guest accommodation and agreement voided. No refunds will be given.

Cannabis is allowed on site if consumed outside of the domes. Any consumption of cannabis inside will be treated as per our Smoking Policy and subject to the same charges. Please dispose of buts and ash safely and insure that any embers are doused.

In case of emergency please call # 911.

Guest Safety
Safety cameras are used throughout the premises, and anyone on our property may be recorded.

FlowEdge assumes no responsibility for any personal bodily injury incurred while onsite. There are nature trails throughout the property for guests to explore and enjoy. These are mildly groomed hiking trails and thus contain a river, branches, rocks, mud, puddles, fallen trees, other plants and animals, and in the wintertime, occasionally snow and ice. We recommend that you use your best judgement in assessing if you are comfortable walking these trails as they may not be appropriate for everyone.

Visitor Policy
Only the people listed on the reservation are allowed on the premises. No guests are allowed unless previously agreed upon with FlowEdge staff in writing.

Construction and Maintenance
FlowEdge is a year round operation and maintenance or other construction may be happening on other parts of the site during your stay. This may occasionally cause noise during normal business hours.
