Hazelmont Cottage B & B is a romantic couple’s retreat nestled in the lush
green hills of Ravensbourne in the High Country Hamlets Region, less than 120
mins from Brisbane and 40 minutes north from Toowoomba.
Hazelmont is 10 minutes from the
friendly town of Crows Nest and a short drive to most of the pleasures the High
Country Hamlets and Toowoomba Region .
One of the hidden treasures north of
Toowoomba, Hazelmont sits on the top of the Great Dividing Range surrounded by rolling
green rainforest hills with beautiful Ravensbourne National Park just a few minutes’
drive; Crows Nest National Park is just 15 mins drive both offering much peace
and tranquility.
Our 12 acre heavily forested property starts at the top of the range and
stretches up towards the rainforest, the perfect setting to just chill, relax
and forget about the demands of daily life.
We have created a walking trails
map for the casual and keen walkers alike to explore and enjoy breathtaking
walks in the Ravensbourne area as well as
mountain biking trails aplenty.
We are also a great base to explore the local
area, browse the shops and markets of Cabarlah, Highfields and Toowoomba, visit
local wineries, Pechey Distillery and top-class local restaurants….do nothing
or everything!
Hazelmont cottage is beautifully furnished and romance abounds everywhere
including a fully restored double brass bed, fireplace, rain shower ensuite, rainforest deck, a self-contained kitchen with electric skillet, microwave and
everything you need to whip up simple relaxed meals.
Other features include a digital TV with DVD player, WIFI, the latest magazines, Bluetooth speakers to enjoy your own music, a selection of board and outdoor games.
A continental breakfast
basket is provided with muesli, pancake mix, milk, fruit, coffee
and a selection of quality teas. Alfresco dining anytime you like with your own Weber BBQ and a wood
fired pizza oven to try your hand with.
Enjoy one of our amazing sunsets; you will be spoilt with the choice of watching the sun set across the valley from Gus Buetel or Shearers Road overlooking rural views.
Relax
on Hazelmont hill in Adirondack chairs, sip your drink of choice, blow bubbles, watch the clouds go by, read a book or just enjoy the views and birds. Special moments spent watching the amazing night sky and the
moon rise from the cottage will leave you with lasting memories.
Enjoy the experience of more than 80 species of bird life some rare and threatened, morning birdsong usually includes the elusive Eastern Whip Bird, Eastern Spinebill
and Green Catbird.
Watch in the morning
or afternoon as Welcome Swallows and up to 3 species of black cockatoos move majestically around the valley.

HAZELMONT COTTAGE CONDITIONS
General:
Guests and invitees of guests are expected to behave in a manner conducive to the safety, comfort and convenience of other guests within the property.
We request vehicles be parked at the cottage parking bay.
A breach of any house rule may result in the immediate eviction of the offender at the discretion of the owner.
A breach of house rules includes:
Arrival
Check-in time is 2pm. Self check-in is provided with a key box at the door with the code provided at confirmation of booking.
Departure
Check-out time is 11am. Please ensure cottage and kitchen are left tidy including all dishes washed and check BBQ is left clean.
Please note that a more detailed inspection of the cottage made after the check-out time and we reserve the right to make charges for any damages or breakages found before the room/apartment is occupied again.
Smoking
Hazelmont Cottage is a non-smoking property. This applies to both traditional smoking methods and all electronic delivery systems, including vapes, vaporizers, vape pens, hookah pens, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes or e-cigs), e-pipes, and any variations of the foregoing regardless of the product’s name. Any smoking in the rooms or strong lingering smoking scents in rooms will result in a disappointed look and a $300 room cleaning fee.
Extending your stay
After you have booked your stay with us, you can extend your stay (depending on availability) by simply letting us know before you arrive.
If you are already staying with us and you would like to stay longer, please let us know at least 24 hours before your check- out date. We will do our best to accommodate your new plans.
Pets
Are we pet friendly? You bet! A maximum of two small dogs are allowed on approval. A fee of $15 per night will apply.. Just make sure your furry friends do their business in the designated area and stay on a leash when outside the room. Pets cannot be left unattended in rooms at any time. Should your furry friend shed a great amount or have a potty accident in the room, a cleaning fee will be charged to the credit card on file in the amount of $50. Should your pet cause property or item damage, an incidental fee will be charged. No cats or venomous creatures.
Room Policy
Sing your heart out and have passionate conversation all day long, but from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the whole property goes into hush mode for what we like to call quiet time (or sleep time).
