Boulder Guest House offers the comforts and amenities of a boutique hotel within the context of an urban Zen Buddhist practice center. The Victorian house, which has long been a bed and breakfast, has been updated to have a contemporary feel, inspired by Zen. This delightful boutique hotel offers a peaceful retreat-like atmosphere within walking distance of downtown Boulder and the University of Colorado campus. Each of the four guest rooms are simply and comfortably furnished in a calm aesthetic, and have private entrances and bathrooms, as well as reserved parking. The beautiful, 1890’s brick house was formerly the home of the historic Briar Rose Bed & Breakfast.

Payment
A credit card is required to complete your booking. No deposit is collected at time of booking. Full payment will be automatically charged the day prior to your arrival. We look forward to hosting you, but if you do need to cancel for any reason, your card will be charged according to our policy above.
Arrival/Departure
Boulder Guest House uses a self-check-in system. The morning of your arrival, you will receive an email and text message with directions on how to find your parking space and your room, and a lockbox code to retrieve your key. When you arrive, simply park in your reserved off-street parking space and head to your room! Please move out of your room by 10am on your departure day. You may leave your keys on the desk in your room. And we hope you’ll visit again soon!
Parking
Each guest room has a reserved off-street parking space. Please let us know if you will have an additional vehicle and we’ll save an extra space for you. Street parking in the neighborhood is free and limited to 2-hours on weekdays.
Office Hours
We operate "Airbnb-style" with self check-in and checkout. We do not have a front desk with standard office hours. Guests who are currently on site and are in need of assistance may communicate via text message with our on on-call manager during regular waking hours, or during "off hours" in the case of an emergency. Please be respectful of sleeping hours for non-emergent messaging and calls. A phone number will be given with your booking confirmation and check-in details.
Other Important Information
We provide a simple breakfast of delicious homemade GF granola, a variety of milks & yogurt, and whole fruit. Guests may store personal items in the refrigerator in the breakfast area. Quiet hours are between 9pm and 7am. We do not provide daily housekeeping during your stay. If you need fresh towels or linens, or anything else, please let us know! We do not accept pets. No smoking of any kind or vaping indoors ($250 fee). The Boulder Guest House is also home to the Boulder Zen Center. Our Zendo, or meditation room, is on the first floor of the Carriage House. At this time, only those who are fully Covid-19 vaccinated may enter the Zendo. Feel free to ask us any questions you might have about meditation.
