TERMS OF SERVICE

Thank you for choosing to stay at Stay Classy. By booking a stay with us, you agree to the following terms of service.

  • CHECK IN REQUIREMENTS
    • Guests must present a non San Diego resident valid ID and valid Credit Card in their name during check-in.
    • All guests must be at least 18 years old.
    • The name used on reservation must match the person staying.
    • All reservations must be paid in full prior to check-in.
  • CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES
    • Check-in time is 4:00 PM.
    • Check-out time is 11:00 AM.
  • PAYMENT
    • No Cash
    • Only credit cards are accepted (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
  • ROOM RATES AND FEES
    • Room rates are listed on our website and are subject to change without notice.
    • All room rates are subject to Transient Occupancy Tax of 10.5%.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY
    • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled arrival time.
    • Failure to cancel within 24 hours will result in a charge of one night's room rate to your credit card.
    • No-shows will be charged for the full reservation amount.
    • Group bookings (5 or more people) require a 7-day cancellation notice. 
  • LENGTH OF STAY
    • The maximum length of stay at our hostel is 14 consecutive nights. After 14 nights, you must vacate your room and leave the premises for at least 24 hours before you can re-book another stay.
    • We reserve the right to refuse any reservation that exceeds the maximum length of stay, or to require guests to check out and re-book after 14 nights.
  • GUEST CONDUCT
    • Guests must abide by all hostel rules and regulations.
    • Quiet hours are from:
      •  10:00 PM to 8:00 AM in dorms.
      • 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM in the common area.
    • Smoking, drug use, and excessive alcohol consumption are strictly prohibited.
    • Guests are responsible for any damage they cause to hostel property.
    • Guests must respect the privacy and comfort of other guests.
    • We reserve the right to remove any guest who violates these policies without refund.
  • OUTSIDE GUESTS
    • For the safety and security of our guests, outside visitors are not allowed in the hostel at any time without prior permission from hostel staff. This includes friends, family, and acquaintances who are not registered guests at the hostel.
    • If you would like to have a visitor, please check with hostel staff first. Visitors may be allowed in common areas of the hostel during specific hours, but are not allowed in guest rooms unless they are registered guests.
    • Please note that any damage or loss caused by a visitor will be the responsibility of the registered guest. In addition, any visitors who violate hostel policies or engage in disruptive or dangerous behavior will be asked to leave immediately.
  • PETS
    • No Pets. 
    • Pets or Fake Service animals will result in a $250 cleaning fee.
    • If you have a service animal you must notify us 2 weeks in advance to ensure we have availability in an ADA compliant room. 
  • SMOKING FEE
    • We are a smoke-free property. Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, and incense is prohibited in all areas of the hostel. If evidence of smoking is found in your room, a cleaning fee of $250 will be charged to your account to cover the cost of restoring the room to a smoke-free condition.
  • CLEANING AND DAMAGES
    • We take pride in the cleanliness of our hostel and expect guests to leave their rooms in a similar condition to how they found them. If excessive cleaning is required after your stay, a fee of up to $250 will be charged to your account.
    • No eating / storing of food in the dorm rooms. Eating or storing food will result in you being asked to leave the property and a $100 cleaning fee. 
    • Guests are responsible for any damages caused to their room or any other area of the hostel, including but not limited to stains, burns, or broken items. In the event that any damage occurs, guests will be charged for the cost of repair or replacement, up to the full value of the item or area damaged.
    • Please note that any damages caused by bodily fluids, including urine or feces, will result in a $150 cleaning fee and removal from the property without refund.
  • ABILITY TO REFUSE SERVICE
    • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time, for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to, guests who are unable to provide valid identification, who violate our policies, who behave in a disruptive or dangerous manner, or who engage in any illegal activity on our premises.
    • We will not tolerate discrimination of any kind and will refuse service only for reasons that are consistent with our policies and the law. If we refuse service to a guest, we will provide a full explanation for our decision.
    • By booking a stay with us, you agree to comply with our policies and understand that failure to do so may result in refusal of service and/or removal from the premises without a refund.
  • VIDEO SURVEILLANCE
    • For the protection of the guests, the common areas are under 24 hour video surveillance.
  • TENANCY
    • Your stay is for temporary lodging purposes only and does not create a tenancy agreement or lease. As such, you have no tenant rights and are not entitled to any protections afforded to tenants under California law.
    • You agree that your stay at the hostel is solely for the purpose of temporary lodging and that you will vacate your room at the end of your stay as scheduled. Any extension of your stay must be agreed upon in writing by hostel management and may be subject to additional fees.
    • You further agree that the hostel may remove you from your room and/or the premises without notice in the event that you violate our policies.
  • LIABILITY AND DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
    • Hostel staff are not liable for any loss or damage to guests' personal property.
    • Guests are responsible for any damage they cause to hostel property.
    • Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless the hostel, its staff, and its affiliates from any claims arising from their stay.
    • We recommend that guests purchase travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances.
  • DISPUTE RESOLUTION
    • Any disputes arising from your stay at the hostel will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with California law.
    • Any arbitration will take place in the county where the hostel is located.
  • GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
    • These terms of service are governed by California law.
    • Any legal action arising from these terms of service will take place in California state court.
    • In the event that any portion of these terms of service is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
  • CHANGES TO TERMS OF SERVICE
    • We reserve the right to modify or update these terms of service at any time, and it is your responsibility to review these terms periodically for any changes. Modifications will become effective immediately upon posting on our website or at the hostel.
    • We may modify or update these terms of service for reasons including, but not limited to, complying with changes to applicable laws or regulations, improving the guest experience, or addressing security issues.
    • If we make material changes to these terms, we will notify guests by email or other means of communication at least 30 days prior to the effective date of the changes.
    • By continuing to use our hostel services after changes to these terms become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms of service. If you do not agree to the new terms, you should stop using our services and notify us immediately.
