Alicion is a turn of the century revival style mansion built by Canadian Senator William Duff for his family, in 1911. Standing on one of the original lots in Lunenburg's New Town the home boasts one of the largest original lots in the town. Renovated and restored over the years, Alicion offers its guests contemporary comfort in its four spacious rooms each with facilities en-suite. In addition to the main house-and separate from the bed and breakfast- the Carriage House at Alicion is perfect for small families or two couples as it offers two bedrooms, patio, BBQ area and full facilities. Guests in the main house enjoy full breakfast and can relax on the wrap around veranda after a busy day. While only a 10 minute stroll into the heart of Lunenburg's waterfront, in its park like surroundings it can seem miles away.

Terms and Conditions
Check-in time is between 4-6 PM. If you are to arrive later, you must make arrangements with us. Arrivals after 9 PM are not accepted.
We are a non-smoking property for reasons of health, safety and comfort for all of our guests. Guests who violate the policy and smoke in premises are subject to a minimum $400.00 charge for returning the room to smoke-free status and agree to being charged by accepting this policy. We appreciate your understanding.
Free parking and complimentary breakfast are available to all our overnight guests.
All guest rooms are located on the ground and first floor. There is no elevator and no bellhop. Please pack accordingly. The Carriage House has a loft bedroom with stairs leading up. We will permit children over the age of 10 in the Carriage House.
We reserve the right to charge for any damage to or removal of items from the premises and/or unusual cleaning.
All photo shoots and filming are subject to advance approval by the owners.

Items left behind and requested to be mailed will incur a minimum charge of $10 and may take up to 30 days to receive. We apologize for any inconvenience. To avoid this, please be sure to thoroughly check your room for items that are of value to you prior to your departure.
Damaged or missing items from rooms post check out will be charged to your security deposit on file. These include but are not limited to remote controls, bathrobes, linens, pillows, mugs, room key, books, etc., Please inquire if you have any questions or concerns about this policy.
Payment Policy
Our rates are all inclusive, based on double occupancy and includes complimentary breakfast. A Provincial HST (tax) of 15% is applicable to all accounts. Direct reservations are confirmed by credit card. A one night deposit may be taken for stays on 2 nights or longer.
Alicion Bed & Breakfast is not a child friendly property. We do not provide cribs, cots nor high chairs.
