The following Cancellation fees are levied when guests cancel confirmed reservations.
- More than 120 days prior to travel – 20% the total booking value is payable to Cousine Island and non-refundable.
- Between 120 and 90 days prior to travel - 50% of the total booking value is payable to Cousine Island and non-refundable.
- Within 90 days and less to travel - 100% of the booking value is payable to Cousine Island and non-refundable.
- No show - 100% of the total booking value will be charged & payable to Cousine Island and non-refundable.
- As per our COVID 19 Cancellation Policy, in the event that clients would need to reschedule they can do so within 12 month of their original booking.

CANCELLATION POLICY
As per our COVID 19 Cancellation Policy —
More than 120 days prior to travel – 20% the total booking value is payable to Cousine Island and non-refundable.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Where a deposit has been paid and the reservation is subsequently cancelled by Cousine Island due to a failure to pay the balance outstanding, the deposit paid will be forfeited to Cousine Island.
- In the event that a reservation is cancelled by the client for any reason, such cancellation must be made in writing and will only be effective upon written acknowledgement by Cousine Island’s receipt of the notification of cancellation. In such instance, the agent is liable for the cancellation charges incurred.
- Failure to arrive or any cancellations made after the departure date, Cousine Island will be entitled to treat the reservation as cancelled without giving notice and 100% of the tour price as a cancellation fee will apply (including repatriation and any administrative fees incurred by Cousine Island as a result of such cancellation, including but not limited to cancellations due to ill health or injury). In such an instance Cousine Island will apply its discretion should extenuating circumstances exist.
The Euro will be used as the currency to determine the rates for Cousine Island. All major foreign currencies outlined by Cousine Island will be accepted for payment, which will be converted to the Euro on presentation of the final invoice for payment and exchanged at an accepted international exchange rate determined by major financial institutions at the time of presentation of the final invoice.

PAYMENT FOR EXPENSES THAT OCCUR ON COUSINE ISLAND CAN BE SETTLED ASFOLLOWS
- Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or cash in any major foreign currency accepted by Cousine Island
- All extras to be settled in the office at least 90 minutes prior to departure
- All credit card transactions will incur a 3.5% - 5% surcharge applied to the TAX inclusive invoice for extra’s on Cousine Island at the point of payment upon departure
At check-in, all guests are required to provide Cousine Island with electronic payment information. An inspection will take place on check-out date, and all damages will be recorded for the benefit and sight of the guests in question.Damages to Cousine Island property will be payable, and Cousine Island is authorised to charge the amount owing to the electronic payment method provided for by the guest in question, prior to guests departure from Cousine Island to satisfy the costs of damage.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY
Cousine Island will not be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the performance or non-performance of this agreement.
Transfers By Sea
Cousine Island offers catamaran or yacht charters to and from all inner islands.
CATAMARAN & YACHT CHARTERS ARE ARRANGED & BOOKED DIRECTLY WITH COUSINE ISLAND.
- TRANSFER TIME FROM MAHE TO COUSINE ISLAND —Transfer between Mahé Island and Cousine Island is approximately 1.5 hours.
- TRANSFER TIME PRASLIN TO COUSINE ISLAND — Transfers between Praslin Island and Cousine Island is approximately 20-25 minutes.
- OTHER INNER ISLAND TRANSFERS TO COUSINE ISLAND — Transfers to and from other inner islands are available. Times from inner islands will vary.
Transfers By Air
HELICOPTER TRANSFERS ARE ARRANGED & BOOKED DIRECTLY WITH COUSINE ISLAND.
Rates are provided for EC 120 1-4 passengers. These rates are non-commissionable.Quotations for helicopter transfers to and from other destinations can be obtained upon request from Cousine Island. A combined maximum passenger & baggage weight of 400kg is allowed. Please be advised that additional helicopter transfer charges will be incurred for overweight baggage as an additional helicopter transfer. These transfers are subject to helicopter availability. If the helicopters cannot fly due to weather conditions, Cousine Island cannot be held liable for overnight accommodation on Mahé, Praslin, Cousine Island or any other island. Clients are advised to take out travel insurance for such a possibility. Helicopter transfer between Mahé and Cousine is approximately 17 minutes, and Praslin toCousine is approximately 5 minutes. Other Island transfer times will vary. Rates are available upon request for helicopter transfers to Cousine Island & sightseeing experiences of the inner islands. Sightseeing times will vary.
