GENERAL POLICIES:
Check In and Checkout Physical Checkin is between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM at The Inn Office. We can’t wait to meet youand provide information about your Unit, Community First! Village, and answerany questions you may have. We also realize that Covid-19 and busy schedulesdon't always allow us that one-on-one interaction, so if you are arriving laterthan 5:00 PM or cannot meet with us beforehand, no worries. Please let us knowbefore your stay so we can prepare for you. All units havebeen equipped with a keyless lock. When you arrive, check your email to findyour entry code and attached map. You should easily be able to locate andaccess your unit. We’ll be sure to leave the light on for you! Checkout is10:00 a.m. We have a small, awesome team that needs time to prepare rooms forarriving guests. If you require more time, a late checkout can sometimes bearranged with prior notification for $40. Please let us know as soon as you areable, preferably within 24 hours prior to your stay.
Children
We love kids! Our property is oriented toward families who are interested inlearning how to embody a lifestyle of service with the homeless. Children up toage 17 must be accompanied by a parent and must stay in the parent’s room. Dueto the tiny size of our units, it may be challenging to have infants ages 0-2years of age. We do not offer cribs or changing tables.
Credit Card Authorization and Payment
A valid credit card is required to make a reservation. We accept Visa andMastercard. Your credit card will be authorized for the full reservation amountat the time the cancellation period expires (see cancellation timeframesabove). If using a debit card, please note that your bank will hold your fundsat this time; for this reason, bank cards are discouraged for all reservations.Your credit cardand a valid ID must be presented at check-in. No other formsof payment are allowed.
Damage to Property
Guests are responsible for any damage or loss they cause to the property.Guests may be charged cleaning fees for damaged or excessively soiled towels,linens, and other soft goods. Please refer to our Community Inn Fee Guide. Alsosee “No Smoking, No Candles, No Incense, Etc.” below.
Inn Accessibility
Our one-of-a-kind Inn has 14 eclectic Tiny Homes, Camping Trailers, and abeautiful Yurt. Our units are located in the half moon circle around ourCommunity Inn Cinema and a short distance from our parking area. Five of ourTiny Homes which require access by a single flight of flagstone stairs, aretucked away in our neighborhood near our Community Market and Geodome. Ourbeloved Yurt requires access by a flight of stairs as well as a quick walk overa narrow wooden bridge. Our restroom-shower-laundry facility and CommunityKitchen for Tiny Homes and Yurt require access via stairs. WE DO NOT OFFER ADAACCESSIBLE UNITS. Prior to and during your stay, please advise if specialaccommodation or accessible parking is needed and our team will work with youto ensure you have a wonderful visit.
Minimum Age
You must be 18 to rent a unit or occupy one of our units without aparent.
Minimum Night Stay
Our standard minimum night stay is 2 nights, requiring booking of 2 consecutivenights in the same room (for example: Friday and Saturday or Saturday andSunday). Some holidays and special events may be subject to longer minimums.Rooms are occasionally released for 1-night stays, based on availability, asreflected on our reservation calendar.
Maximum Night Stay
Our maximum night stay is 21 nights. We do not give discounts for this lengthof stay.
No Smoking, No Candles, No Incense, Etc.
The Community Inn is a Nonsmoking facility. Smoking isallowed Only in the Designated Smoking Areas (look for the smoke receptacles,there are many), Inn Office porch, or in our two parking lots. Smoking is NotAllowed in the units, on the private outdoor patios, or in public outdoorareas. Evidence of smoking including the smell of smoke in the room or in thepublic and private outdoor areas will result in a minimum $250 charge plus thecost of any damaged property. (Yes friends, we mean any kind of smoke.) Noburning of any sort of object, including candles or incense, is allowed. All ofthe above are subject to cleaning and damage fees.
Non-hosted Facility
The Community Inn is a small team. Our Inn Office hours are 9:00 AM –5:00 PM (M-F) and Saturdays from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. We are not onsite at theCommunity Inn Office on Sundays. To reach us after hours or on theweekends please call us at 512-551-5453 to leave a detailed message. We willrespond to you as soon as possible.
Occupancy
All Tiny Homes and Trailers accommodate single or double occupancy, max. If youhave an additional guest, we may be able to accommodate with an air mattressset-up as well as an “additional guest fee” of $35. Please call ahead for thisoption. Our bohemian style Yurt sleeps 4-6 guests with a spacious eating andkitchenette area. When booking this style of unit please indicate how manyguests will be staying with you. All visitors and guests occupying a unit mustbe registered with the front desk. A $100 per night usage fee will be chargedfor unauthorized guests beyond the allowed occupancy limit per room.
Restroom - Shower - Laundry Facility
Our beautifully and spacious designed restroom shower laundry facility (RSL),can be accessed on the far right hand side of our Community Market (Blue“Topher” Building). The design of space includes 4 fully private showerrestroom suites, as well as 4 fully private traditional restroom suites. Allsuites lock for your privacy. We clean this facility 2 times a day, to ensurecleanliness and excellence. The RSL also encompasses a laundry facility foryour comfort. Laundry products can be purchased onsite at our CommunityMarket. Outdoor KitchenA beautiful outdoorcommunity kitchen is available for your use. Outdoor kitchens feature share a large eating space, grills, viking gasranges, and sinks with drinkable water. The outdoor kitchen also features a locker system. Feel free to utilizeyour unit’s culinary supplies. Just be sure to return them to your unit.
Parking
We offer plenty of parking for our guests. Please use the “Event” parking lotto the right of the entrance when you first come onsite. Or if you’re lucky,there is limited parking in front of the Inn Office. Please respect the privacyof our neighbors and do not park in front of their homes or in their driveways;you will be towed. Parking is also restricted in front of our Community Market.We provide every guest with a green parking permit. Please place this pass onyour vehicle’s dashboard to avoid being towed. If you require an additionalparking pass, please reach out to our Inn Team, preferably 24 hours prior toyour stay. We are not responsible for damage to vehicles, or damage or loss ofproperty left in parked vehicles, regardless of location.
Parties, Events and Gatherings
We are a small Inn at the front of a master planned neighborhood for theformerly homeless. We want you to have a great time while onsite. Along thoselines, please do not come here to party. Guests who disturb other guests willbe asked to leave and will not be provided a refund. Thinking of inviting somefriends over? Please check with us first. Due to the intimate nature of ourproperty, private events that include guests who are staying at the propertyrequire approval. A separate events agreement and additional fees may apply. Noparties, group gatherings, company meetings, etc. may be held without priorapproval, and may forfeit your reservation without refund. So please, checkwith us first.
Pet Policy
We LOVE your fur babies! At this time we only allow dogs onsite. Tiny Homes aretiny, with little room for multiple dogs. We allow a max of 1 dog. All dogsmust be with their owners at all times, and while outside on a leash. You maynot leave your dog locked in your tiny home without you for any reason. Dogscannot be left outside unattended for any reason. We issue a pet fee of $25 perdog. Additional fees may apply if damage is caused to the unit in any way. Wealso will apply an unauthorized pet fee of $100 if additional pets are found orreported. Please pick up after your dogs. We have doggy pick-up bag stations bythe Community Cinema and at our onsite “Jake’s Place Dog Park”. Fines will beissued for dog poop that's not picked up. Have any question or concerns? Phones
We do not provide telephones in the guest rooms. We do not provide phonechargers. We offer a pay phone located in the breeze way of Unity Hall.
Wi-Fi
We can't live without it! Each Tiny Home, Trailer, and Yurt is set-up with its ownWi-Fi. Please find the CPE device (looks like a black cube) that is located inyour unit containing a username and password on the exterior. Use this toaccess Wi-Fi throughout your stay. Outside of yourunit, feel free to use Community First! Village Guest Wi-Fi. [ Username: MLFGUEST PW:Goodness2021 ]Bad weather maycause outages. Community Innwill not provide a discount for interrupted service.
Quiet Hours
Please show respect for other guests and keep noise to a minimum between thehours of 11:00 PM and9:00 AM. We are a small Inn and noise carries. Guests who disturb other guestswill be asked to leave and will not be provided a refund.
Unit Subletting
All guests must be registered with the Community Inn Office. Only authorizedguests may occupy guest rooms. Rooms may not be sublet, advertised for resale,or otherwise occupied by non-registered guest(s) without prior managementapproval. A usage fee will be charged for unauthorized guests.

Over a dozen exterior surveillance cameras are spread throughout the CommunityInn property and parking areas.
Noise
(Not Every Week/Weekend) Community Cinema shows a film from 7:30 PM to 10:30PM. Expects crowds and movie noise during that time.
Community Pets
We have a Village cat named "Goodie" and she loves to say “Hi!”. Feelfree to give her all the love and treats but please do not let her into yourunit. Our Village loves animals and many neighbors have dogs. All dogs must beleashed when outside.
