Property and Cancellation Policies :
Payment: To make any bookings with us, we require a deposit equivalent to the First Day's Price per room which will be charged to your card after booking with us. This amount will be charged to your credit card within 24 hours of booking and is non-refundable. This First Day's Price r room will be deducted out of your final invoice during check out. Once your credit card is charged, you will receive a confirmation email of your booking.
Late Arrival: You must contact Mangrove Bay Hotel via email if you will be arriving late for check-in. If a guest does not show up and does not notify our reception by 9PM of the arrival date, then the reservation will be considered a no-show which will lead to an automatic cancellation of your entire reservation + the late cancellation fee of $50.00

Room key: We also ask for $15.00 in cash as a deposit for your key. You’ll be given a key when you check-in which gives you access to your room. If you lose your key this $15.00 will be kept by us to purchase another key. If there the key has not been lost or damaged then the $15.00 will be taken out of your final invoice.
Force Majeure: In cases of Force Majeure (unforeseeable circumstances that prevent someone from fulfilling a contract)
Mangrove Bay Hotel cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of the reservation contract is prevented or affected by reason of circumstances which amount to “force majeure”.
Circumstances amounting to “force majeure” include any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage of your accommodation (which cannot reasonably be remedied to a satisfactory standard before the start of your stay) through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break-in, criminal damage, riots or civil strife, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, war or threat of war, actual or threatened terrorist activity, epidemic and all similar situations beyond our control.
It is explicitly agreed that an event of force majeure suspends execution of the reciprocal obligations for the parties, and that each party shall pay the expenses resulting therefrom. In particular, the guests alone shall pay the additional expenses that might be incurred for any change in hotel, following the event of force majeure.
Mangrove Bay Hotel cannot accept responsibility for cancellation of flights due force majeure or any reasons pertaining to a guest’s personal or familial circumstances.
*Should it be the case that you and/or your party still intend on staying at Mangrove Bay Hotel but are not able to make it on the first day due to flight complications from the island of Chuuk to Pohnpei, then our reception team may be able to push your reservation up to 1-3 days ahead without any additional charge – availability permitting. Please note that our reception team will do all they can to accommodate you but cannot guarantee this.
The hotel has the right to reject any guest from checking-in if the guest name is different from the name as stated on the reservation. We reserve the right to cancel or modify the reservation you made in its sole discretion without notice if it appears that any reservation has been made in breach of the above terms or involve any abuse of the reservation service.
The rates include linen and towels. The rates do not include breakfast. We offer a menu from nearby restaurants and our own sushi bar and we do not charge any extra costs for delivery. We make every effort to place members of your party in rooms next to each other, however, this cannot be guaranteed. Please contact us in advance to make requests about specific rooms via email@example.com . We make every effort to accommodate you in the room size of your choice, however if for some exceptional reason it was not possible and you have been booked in a smaller/bigger room than the type you requested, you will be charged the difference in price. If we have moved you to a larger room, your booking will reflect the price of this room. This does not apply to changes made at your request.
Age restrictions: Children (under the age of 16) cannot be accommodated at the hotel. Under 18’s can stay in private rooms when accompanied by an adult over 18 years. Please note that, bookings cannot be accepted for guests under the age of 18 unless they are over 16 and accompanied by an adult.
Please do not forget to pack your ID! Make sure to bring a valid identification with you, preferably a passport, government issued National Identity card, residence permit, military ID or a driving license. We are unable to check anyone in without this, so make sure to pack your ID! Students cards and security badges are not accepted.
Booking through other websites: If you book via another website, the changes before arrival may have to be done directly with the agent.
Mangrove Bay Hotel Rules: Mangrove Bay Hotel does not allow smoking inside any of its rooms. Customers are required to conduct themselves in a reasonable and responsible manner and must not act in any way which may disturb other guests. Failure to adhere to this requirement may result in customers being asked to leave the hotel in which event all additional charges shall become immediately payable by the customers. Any guest(s) who, in the opinion of our staff, compromise the comfort, safety, or security of other guests, staff or local residents will be asked to leave the hotel premises. Guest are expected to respect other guests as well as staff and property. Guests are required to close and lock all entries of their rooms (sliding door + main entrance + and any windows) for their own safety.
We reserve the right to charge the credit card on file (which was made to secure the booking) should there be any missing or damaged items in the accommodation(s) booked during a guest’s stay.
We are not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage of personal items during a guest’s stay.
