The motel boasts a private sugar sand beach and located less than a 2 block walk from the state boat dock and downtown shopping. The Beachcomber is perfectly positioned next to the breakwall and Waterfront/Veteran’s Park, an area which is used in a multitude of ways. There is a playground for the kids, pavilion area for large gatherings or a nice meal, military memorial, and benches to stop and enjoy the view. If you enjoy kayaking this is the place for you! Launch your own or rent from Port Austin Kayak just down Spring Street. On the grounds of the Beachcomber is an in-ground swimming pool and plenty of room for outdoor games and to BBQ. Enjoy a quiet dinner relaxing in the shade right on the lake, or gather with family and friends around the common fire-pit. Deluxe room amenities include: queen or full size beds, tiled baths, coffeemakers, refrigerators, cable, WiFi and air conditioning.
