The George, is one of the most successfully executed examples of late nineteenth century residential architecture. Commissioned in 1891 by George E. Goodman Sr., one of Napa’s most prominent businessmen, it is part of the National Register of Historic Places and subsequent National Parks Service Evaluation. Known as the handsomest house in town, this famous residence has been reimagined into a 9 room boutique inn that captures a new balance of contemporary elegance with a stylish grandeur for the 21st century. Property and Cancellation Policies :
Guests are welcome to modify or cancel their booking. up until 15 days prior to the arrival date. Any booking modifications, including date changes and/or a full cancellation of your booking made within 15 days (by 5:00 pm PST) of arrival will be subject to a 100% charge of your stay. Any booking modifications requested after check-in are subject to availability and may be applicable to rate variations. If a date change is possible, the originally booked nightly rate may be subject to change and a higher rate may apply. Full payment will be taken upon the time of booking. Please note, each booking incurs a 3% credit card processing fee that built into the room rate. Upon cancellation, this 3% fee is non-refundable.

*For larger groups booking 3 or more rooms, we allow for modifications and cancellations up to 60 days prior to the arrival date. Any changes or cancellations made within 60 days of check-in will be subject to a 100% charge of your stay. This applies to all rooms that have been reserved as part of a group booking.

Reservations during special events are non-refundable. This includes, but is not limited to: BottleRock (September 1-6, 2021).
Terms and Conditions

Check-in 
Standard check-in time is 3:00PM. Guests are required to present a valid identification at check-in that matches the name on the reservation as well as the credit card used to pay for the guestroom. If a guest is unable to provide this, we reserve the right to decline check in and access to the hotel. 

Check-out
All guests must vacate their room no later than 11:00AM on their date of departure. Departure after this time may incur additional charges.


Cancellation Policy
Guests are welcome to cancel their booking up until 15 days prior to the arrival date (by 5:00pm PST) for a full refund less a 3% credit card *processing fee. Any cancelation outside of this time frame is subject to 100% charge of your stay and no refund. 

For larger group bookings of 3 or more rooms, either booked together or individually by parties traveling together, constitute a group reservation. Guests are welcome to cancel there booking(s) up until 61 days prior to the arrival date (by 5:00pm PST) for a full refund less a 3% credit card *processing fee. Any cancelation outside of this time frame is subject to 100% charge of your stay and no refund. This applies to all rooms that have been reserved and canceled as part of a group booking. 

Reservations during special events are non-refundable. This includes, but is not limited to: BottleRock Weekend (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

*Processing fees: this is a third party fee that is incurred by The George when your credit card payment is processed upon booking. 

Modification Policy
Modifications to booking(s) prior to or after check-in are subject to availability and applicable rate variations. If a date change is possible, the originally booked nightly rate may be subject to change and a higher rate may apply.

Damages + Incidentals
 
The George has a min charge of $100 for any item(s) taken from the guest rooms(such as but not limited to towels, robes, linens, bedding, furnishing, accessories, etc.), damages and/or incurred to all or part of the property which may affect the potential to re-sell a room upon checkout. It is understood that upon check-in, you agree to such charges being taken upon check-out in covering such expense. 

The George reserves the right to request guests depart the property whom display a lack of care, damage or disrupt the general atmosphere, guest experience and business reputation during their stay. This includes but is not limited to; smoking in house, in room breakages, drug/alcohol consumption, property damages, and/or causing unreasonable disruption to other guests. 

Hotel Access + Occupancy Policy
For the privacy and comfort of our guests, only persons registered with the hotel are permitted to access the property. We reserve the right to refuse service to any guest or invitee of a guest. 
 

To ensure we comply with building and permit codes, we have a strict max occupancy policy. We have a max occupancy of 2 guests per room (with the exception of rooms 301 and 303, which accommodate up to 3 guests. 

Any registered guest who allows any unauthorized individuals to occupy their guest room will be in violation of our policy and subject to a $250 per night per person occupancy violation fee.  

The occupancy policy will be enforced to ensure that our collective guests get the quality experience they deserve and any potential excess noise is controlled. 

The George is best suited for guests over 12 years old.

Single-Night Reservations

We reserve the right to adjust single-night bookings to a room of equal or better value without prior notification. It is not guaranteed that you will be in the room originally booked. 

Group Reservations + Buyouts

Three or more rooms, either booked together or individually by parties travelling together, constitute a group reservation. These reservations will require a minimum 61 day prior to check in cancellation policy (see cancelation policy). These reservation will also need a group contact and may be subject to additional fees. 

These policies supersede policies shown on any individually booked reservation. It is best to call us at 707-596-5168 to make the reservation as it will require a group contract and may require additional group fees.

Internet Policy

We offer Smart TVs in all of our guest rooms. Guests are welcome to log into their streaming platforms. 

Our TVs will automatically log you out of all streaming platforms after the TV is turned off. Even though we do what we can to ensure these get logged off you are personally responsible for confirming your account is secure and log off prior to check out. 

We ask you not download any inappropriate and/or illegal content from the internet during your stay. 

Pets + Service Animals

We welcome service animals in compliance with federal, state and local laws, however pets are not permitted in the hotel. The George requires you to disclose this upon your reservation in order for us to provide you with the  appropriate documentation for acknowledgment.

Social Media

THE GEORGE USER-GENERATED IMAGE PERMISSIONS
Persons agreeing to give The George (the "Hotel") permission to use their image(s) in advertisements and on the Hotel's social media channels grant to the Hotel and its affiliates a nonexclusive license to use, reproduce, distribute and make full use of and derive benefit from the image(s). In doing so, those persons represent and warrant that: (i) they have the right to enter into this agreement and to give the rights so granted; (ii) the image(s) is(are) original; and (iii) the use by the Hotel of the image(s) in advertisements or on the Hotel's social media channels will not violate the rights of any third-party. 

CONTENT POSTED TO The George’s SOCIAL MEDIA ASSETS
The George uses a variety of third-party social media websites, communication services and media channels such as Facebook, Twitter. Tiktok, and Instagram (collectively, "Social Media Assets") to communicate and interact with our guest. By posting or submitting content to these Social Media Assets, you represent and warrant that you have the lawful right to transmit, distribute and reproduce such content. To the extent submitted content contains images, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are the copyright owner or have obtained the copyright owner's permission to use such images; (b) you hold the rights necessary to grant the licenses and sublicenses described in these Terms and Conditions; and (c) you have obtained the consent of each person, if any, depicted in such images. 

LICENSE
By posting, displaying, uploading, in putting, providing or submitting content to the website or Social Media Assets, you grant The George a perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable license to use worldwide, royalty-free, to copy, distribute, reproduce, use, modify, adapt, publish, translate, transmit, disclose, publicly perform and publicly display the user content (in whole or in part) and to incorporate such user content into other works in any format or medium now known or later developed for any and all commercial or noncommercial purposes.
