Members of The Celestine are available to you 24/7, either onsite or on-call. If you need assistance, or in the case of an emergency, please call or text management at the Emergency Number provided to all guests.
CHECK-IN & CHECK OUT PROCEDURES
Pre-arrival check-in emails are sent the day before and the day of arrival.
Experience Celestine's hosted Check-in from 4PM - 5PM CT. Should you require a late check-in, after 5PM CT, contact Celestine Bed and Breakfast at the time of your booking. Lynx, our keyless entry smart locks, will allow you to access the main entrance and your luxurious accommodations. Check out for our guests is 11 AM.
PARKING
The main entrance to the bed and breakfast is located on Baylen Street. Street parking is free and unmetered. Additionally, unless we are having an event where guests have reserved the parking lot as event space, you may park in our onsite parking lot. Celestine Bed and Breakfast has no responsibility or liability for any injury or damage to any person or property by or as a result of the use of our private parking or substitute parking, whether by theft, collision, criminal activity, or otherwise, and Guest hereby assumes all risks associated with any such occurrences in or about the parking area.
AGE REQUIREMENT
You must be 25 years of age with a valid driver's license to book a reservation at The Celestine. All overnight guests under the age of 25 must be accompanied by someone 25 years of age or older.
TRAVELING WITH MINORS
The Celestine is designed for adults seeking a tranquil atmosphere. We, therefore, only allow one minor per room at a time. We ask that minors be supervised at all times.
PET POLICY
We are unable to accommodate animals with the exception of registered service animals.
ACCESSIBILITY OR SPECIAL NEEDS
Celestine Bed and Breakfast strives to provide individuals with disabilities equal access to services. Due to the age and small size of our property, we are unable to comply with all ADA requirements; however, we will always do our best to accommodate the needs of our guests and make sure all guests feel welcome. If you have questions, comments, or special requests, please let us know.
SMOKING
The Celestine is a non-smoking property. Smoking (including vaping) is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property, whether indoors or outdoors. If we identify any smoking damage to the property, including smell, we may resolve the damage to its satisfaction at the sole cost of the Guest.
COMMON / VENUE AREAS
The Celestine's Common/ Venue Areas include the Vandybilt Room, Celestine Room, kitchen, porch, and the backyard. These Common / Venue Areas may be enjoyed by the bed and breakfast guests other than times they have been privately booked out for an event. If any of these areas are being privately used during your stay, we ask you to please respect the private nature of the event. If a private event is scheduled for any of the Common / Venue Areas during your stay, we will communicate the event details to you before your stay. We ask that guests limit food and beverages to the kitchen, downstairs hallway, and outside areas. Additionally, guests are not permitted to cook in the kitchen. The service area of the kitchen is for the exclusive use of our staff for preparing guests meals and for licensed caterers who use the space solely for the purposes of warming up food items that have been prepared offsite.
SETTLEMENT OF BILLS
Bills must be settled upon check-out by debit/credit card, personal checks and cash are not accepted. At the time of your reservation, a valid credit card number is required to book the reservation. All payments are made by debit/credit card only. Authorization of your card on file will be run for the total reservation balance before your arrival. The Celestine will charge the card on file for the balance of your stay at check-out. The Celestine accepts all major debit cards and credit cards including (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). Your credit card payments will be posted to the credit card on file by the end of business on the dates of payment.
CANCELLATION POLICY, NO-SHOW & SHORT STAY
For bookings that have been confirmed and subsequently canceled less than 2 days from check-in, will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the total reservation balance to your credit card. For bookings that have been confirmed and subsequently canceled less than 1 day from check-in, will be charged a cancellation fee of 100% of the total reservation balance to your debit/credit card. In the event of a “No Show” or short stay, we will charge for the entire length of the booking.
LOST & FOUND
Should any guests lose personal belongings while staying at The Celestine, if recovered, the item will be recorded as 'found.’ We keep detailed records of all found items and will make a reasonable effort to contact the guest if an item is left behind after the guest has checked out. We will ship items back at the owner's expense upon request. Any items, which are not claimed within ninety (90) days, will be donated to a local charity or discarded.
GUEST'S VALUABLES / ARTICLES
The Celestine will not in any way whatsoever be responsible for any loss / or damage to the Guest's valuables/articles.
GUEST'S BELONGINGS IN ROOMS
Guests are particularly requested to lock the door of their suites when going out or going to bed. Our Staff and Management will not in any way whatsoever be responsible for any loss / or damage to the Guest's belongings or any other property from guest rooms or any other part of the property for any cause whatsoever including theft or pilferage.
FIRE SAFETY POLICY
The Celestine is fully equipped with smoke detectors, heat detectors, an emergency evacuation plan, and fire extinguishers.
QUIET HOURS/ DISTURBANCE
In consideration of other guests, the Celestine has Quiet Hours from 10PM to 8AM CT for all areas, including outside. You may enjoy the Common Areas during our Quiet Hours, but we ask you to please keep your conversations low during this time. If the entire house is occupied by your group, custom Quiet Hours may be established by your group. Management reserves the right to require a guest to leave if he/she is causing a disturbance, annoying other guests or bed and breakfast staff, or is behaving unacceptably. It is agreed that the guest will respectably conduct him/herself and will not cause any nuisance or annoyance within The Celestine's premises.
HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE
In anticipation of individual concerns of guests, housekeeping will not enter a guest's suites during their stay. If you require extra amenities please let us know.
PHOTOGRAPHS & VIDEOS
Using photographs and videos taken on the premises for commercial or public purposes, without express permission in writing, is illegal. Those who do so will be subject to prosecution.
DAMAGES
If there are any damages to Celestine Bed and Breakfast as a result of a guest's occupancy, at the sole discretion of the bed and breakfast, the guests may be responsible for the cost of resolving the damages to the satisfaction of the Celestine Bed and Breakfast.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
CELESTINE BED AND BREAKFAST SITES MAY BE PROTECTED BY COPYRIGHT, TRADEMARK, AND OTHER INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAWS. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT BY AUTHORIZING THE USE OF YOUR USER-GENERATED CONTENT YOU DO NOT ACQUIRE ANY OWNERSHIP OR OTHER RIGHTS IN INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OR OTHER PROPRIETARY INFORMATION OWNED BY CELESTINE BED AND BREAKFAST.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
You hereby agree that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the User Generated Content or these Terms shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (b) any and all claims, judgments, and awards in your favor shall be limited to actual out of pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with Submitting the User Generated Content, but in no event will your attorneys’ fees be recoverable; and (c) under no circumstances, including for negligence, will any Licensed Party be liable to you for punitive, incidental or consequential damages, lost data, lost profits and/or any other damages. You acknowledge and agree that neither the Licensed Parties nor any of their officers, directors, or employees are responsible for any costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with the User Generated Content (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, or any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages related to or based on your rights of publicity or privacy, or a defamation claim). Under no circumstances will any of the Licensed Parties be held liable for any damage to computer systems, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions, or other errors, failures, delayed computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature, or for the incorrect or inaccurate capture of information, or the failure to capture any information. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAWS, IN NO EVENT WILL ANY OF THE LICENSED PARTIES’ TOTAL LIABILITY (IN THE AGGREGATE) TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES, LOSSES, AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USER-GENERATED CONTENT WHETHER, IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE EXCEED FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00).
SEVERABILITY
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable part shall be construed to reflect, as nearly as possible, the original intentions of the parties. All other provisions of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect.
MODIFICATION OF THE TERMS
From time to time we may need to make changes to these Terms, including to address changes in technology or law, and we encourage you to review these Terms each time you permit us to use your User Generated Content. We reserve the right to alter these Terms at any time without advance notice to you by posting a revised Terms and Conditions. Any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting.
ACCEPTANCE OF GUEST POLICIES
By checking in at the Celestine Bed and Breakfast, you are acknowledging and accepting the above Celestine Bed and Breakfast Policies, and any additional guest policies that are communicated to you during your stay. These Terms are personal to you and may not be assigned or transferred by you for any reason whatsoever without Celestine Bed and Breakfast prior written consent.
