Property and Cancelation Policies :
Check-in time is 3:00 pm until 6:30 pm. After 6:30 pm, we have an easy self-check-in; we will provide you with directions. If you have trouble, there is a live-in Innkeeper. Early check-in can be accommodated (if available) at no fee. Please email us to let us know if you need early check-in.
CHECK-OUT
Check-out time is 11:00 am. We will be happy to store your luggage until your departure time. Late check-outs can be accommodated if available for a small fee. All keys will be collected at checkout, and any misplaced keys will incur $45.00.
RATES
All rates are for double occupancy and do not include tax (15.75% plus $.50 per night). Each additional guest is $35 per night, plus tax. A credit card is only used to guarantee your reservation.
PAYMENT / CANCELATION
Reservations for one (1) or two (2) rooms can be canceled without charge fourteen (14) days before the date of arrival. If the reservation is canceled less than 14 days before scheduled arrival or the guest fails to arrive, an amount equal to the first night's room, and tax, will be charged to the credit card used to book the reservation.
GROUP RESERVATION CANCELLATION POLICY A group reservation for three (3) rooms: To reserve three (3) rooms, a one-night deposit per room is required. Group reservations for three (3) rooms can be canceled 30 days before arrival, but a $45.00 administration fee will be deducted from the deposit. The reservation will be forfeited if a cancellation occurs less than 30 days before the date of arrival. A group reservation for four (4) to seven (7) rooms: To reserve four (4) to seven (7) rooms, a one-night per room deposit is required. Group reservations for four (4) to seven (7) rooms can be canceled 60 days before arrival, but a $75.00 administration fee will be deducted from the deposit. The reservation will be forfeited if a cancellation occurs less than 60 days before the date of arrival.
SPECIAL EVENTS PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY The following activities are considered special events: Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, Essence Fest, Voodoo Fest, New Years', and any significant sporting event (i.e., playoffs). Please check the New Orleans Events Calendar at https://www.neworleans.com/events/year-at-a-glance/.For reservations during special events, a deposit for the first night will be required at the time of booking the reservation.
- A $25.00 administration fee will apply to all cancelations.
- 60 days before check-in, a second non-refundable deposit will be required
- If cancellation is less than 60 days before the date of arrival and we cannot re-book the reservation, the total cost of the reservation will be forfeited.
The entire house (Canal Street Inn Bed and Breakfast) rents for $2,700.00 to $3000.00 per night, plus tax (14.75%). There is a non-refundable deposit of $1,000 to reserve the whole house. Sixty days before check-in, the primary party will be charged a second non-refundable deposit of $1,000.00, with the remaining balance due at check out. Reservations can be canceled 60 days before the date of arrival. If the reservation is canceled less than 60 days before the scheduled arrival, the reservation will be forfeited. If the reservation must be canceled due to an Act of God, catastrophe, or state mandate, a gift certificate valid for one year will be provided. No cash refunds will be given.

Cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Canal Street Inn Gift Cards, and Select Registry Gift Cards. PARKINGA small parking lot behind the Inn is free and “first come, first serve,” as limited spaces are available. There are also open parking spots on the streets surrounding Canal Street Inn.CHILDREN Children over eight years old are welcome, but please check with management when making reservations. Kids of all ages are welcome if you are renting the whole house.PETSUnfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets. Service dogs are permitted. Service dogs are trained to do work or perform tasks for guests with physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other disability. A service dog may not be left on the premises alone. (ADA)NO SMOKINGThe house is smoke-free. We follow New Orleans Smoke-Free Ordinance. Ashtrays are provided in the designated areas.

Parking: The Canal Street Inn offers one van parking space with an adjacent aisle for loading and unloading. This area provides a level surface, though it does not contain curb or curb ramps for wheelchairs, walkers, etc. This parking space is located closest to the back entrance of the Inn. We cannot provide 5 ft x 9.5 ft covered passenger pickup/drop-off areas.
Exterior Routes:There is an entry on the first floor where our handicap room is located. Our wheelchair-accessible guest room may be accessed from the parking area.
Entrance:At least one door allows a minimum of 32″ clear passage for wheelchairs, walkers, etc. This entrance door is not fully automatic, nor does it provide outdoor critical card readers. Our registration area does not allow for a lowered counter of 36″ or less.Interior Routes:Hallways and corridors are free of steps or abrupt vertical level changes over ¼ inch. Interior stairs are built such blind persons or persons with low vision cannot hit their heads on the underside of the stairs. Doorways entering accessible spaces allow a minimum of 32″ clear passage and contain hardware usable with one hand without tight grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist. We are unable to provide an elevator at the Inn. Thus no elevator braille signage, audible tones, emergency elevator communication equipment, or easily open elevator doors or access ramps to the elevator are available. There are no interior ramps nor corridors with door swings of a minimum of 54″ clear floor space.ADA Signage:No ADA signage is available at the Inn for the guest rooms, food / vending areas, meeting rooms, public restrooms, gift shops, mechanical and electrical rooms, stairways, exits, etc.Food Service Areas:Our food service area is not wheelchair accessible.Public Restrooms:We do not have an accessible public restroom.
