WATER UPDATE 6/17/2024:
Due to excessive usage for the summer months the Port Sulphur Water Plant is only producing 1.2 million gallons a day and has been feeding water to the whole lower end all the way to Venice and is having trouble keeping up. The Boothville Water Plant has not been operating. Inframark will get to work bringing the Boothville Plant back on line. It will be capable of producing another million gallons a day which will help tremendously. Bad news it will take roughly 3 weeks to get LDH to approve the samples. In the meantime we also discovered the gauge on the Boothville Water Tower was showing full but it was actually empty. It was being filled today but the usage while trying to catch up filling the Homeplace, Buras and Boothville towers has been difficult. It may take a few nights when usage is down to catch up. Will keep y’all updated.
