Radcliffes Lodge is a purpose designed hostel built on a stunning waterfront estate in the heart of Amble, a vibrant harbour town on the Northumberland Coast. The Lodge sleeps 48 in a mix of accommodation available for one or more nights stay, with all rooms featuring en-suites, underfloor heating and lockers.  The facilities are oozing in quality and style with a large open plan communal area and a full length external balcony for you to enjoy stunning views over Amble Marina and on to Warkworth Castle.  There is a well equipped, fully fitted kitchen with four cooking stations, a dining area, and a comfortable lounge set up with a wide range of seating arrangements. Perfectly situated on the NCN Route 1 (Coast and Castles) and the Northumberland Coastal Path, the Lodge is set up for cyclists, walkers, backpackers and independent travellers with it's secure garage, 'Steadyrack' bike racks, individual 'Crable' charging stations, and a laundry and drying room.  It is within easy walking distance to the shops, bars, restaurants and beaches, so families and groups of friends will find it the perfect base for exploring the magic of Northumberland, with the bonus of water sports and boat trips on the doorstep. Dogs are welcome by arrangement in 2 pet friendly private suites.  Also available are two three-bedroom luxury holiday apartments above Radcliffes Lodge with hot tubs on the balcony, and a four-bedroom Penthouse on the same estate offering the finest views in Amble.

Property and Cancelation Policies :

All single room bookings or bookings up to 4 rooms we offer a free cancellation policy up to 14 days prior to your stay.  Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to your stay will be charged at 50% of your entire stay.  Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to your stay, or no shows, will be charged at 100% of your entire stay.  Cancellations must be in writing by email or letter.  We do not accept cancellations made by telephone.

Sole Occupancy and Group Bookings of 5 rooms or more and stays over 7 days. - Free cancellation up to 3 months prior to your stay. Cancellations made less than 3 months prior to your stay will be charged at 25% of your entire stay. Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to your stay will be charged at 50% of your entire stay. Cancellations made less than 72hrs hours prior to your stay, or no shows, will be charged at 100% of your entire stay.  Cancellations must be in writing by email or letter.  We do not accept cancellations made by telephone.
Terms and Conditions


All single room bookings or bookings up to 4 rooms are charged with a 20% deposit.  The remaining balance will be due in full upon arrival, payable by debit or credit card. We do not accept cash or American Express.

Sole Occupancy, Group Bookings of 5 rooms or more and stays over 7 days are charged with a 25% deposit. The remaining balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival.

All Lodge rooms include bedding (not towels) and basic self serve breakfast of cereal and toast.  Free tea and coffee provided. Apartments include bedding and Towels
Towel Hire is available.
FREE Parking available on site for our guests and public parking close by.  Secure garage for bicycles and equipment.

Age Restriction
Customers under the age of 16 are only permitted to stay in a private room or shared room that has been booked for the sole use of one family, or a group of persons booked together and must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.  Guests under the age of 6 years old are not permitted to use a top bunk bed.  Customers aged between 16 or 18 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18, staying in the same room.

Guest Behaviour
Guests are trusted to respect other guests, staff, local residents and property.  If our staff believe any guests are compromising the comfort, safety, or security of our guests, they will be asked to leave the lodge immediately, and will not receive a refund.  We reserve the right to charge guests for the cost of any damage caused by negligent or unruly behaviour, or any items taken from the property.  Smoking or vaping is not permitted anywhere inside the lodge.  There are designated smoking areas on the external balconies and outside of the lodge.  CCTV is in operation throughout the premises.

Personal Property
It is the responsibility of the guest to ensure that their personal belongings are secure at all times.  Radcliffes Lodge accepts no liability for the loss, theft, or damage to property however sustained or caused.

Pets
Well behaved pets are permitted in two of our pet friendly suites with prior arrangement.  We regret that pets are not allowed in the communal kitchen or Dining area.
