You never know what you may see as you walk through the brush at Rancho Lomitas. Sometimes it is something rare, like indigo snakes breeding. Other times it is a tiny wonder, such as velvet mites coming out after a summer rain. Benito and Toni Trevino have always sought to provide opportunities for others to come to Rancho Lomitas to experience what the native brush of Starr County has to offer. Towards that end, we have five one-bedroom vacation rentals and one two-bedroom vacation rental which we call Las Casitas. The casitas are comfortably furnished including fully stocked kitchens. All you need to bring is your favorite food and drink! The casitas are perfect for nature lovers, Winter Texans, people visiting Starr County on temporary job assignments, hunters who are looking for more comfort than the typical deer lease might provide, and people who just want to get out of the city. One warning - the ranch is located seven miles north of Rio Grande City. Four miles of the road to the ranch is dirt road. Although we are not known for lots of rain in this part of Texas, the road can be a little challenging after a rain.

Your reservation is guaranteed until the day of arrival. After that time, it will no longer be guaranteed and the room may be reassigned unless you make arrangements with Toni Trevino at (956) 500-1392.
Please Note: Immediate termination of the rental agreement is possible if:
- More guests stay in the property than agreed
- Excessive noise is made in the evening hours or at night
- Sub-letting the property you have rented (or giving it to other people). The number of people residing in the apartment should be the same as confirmed in the booking. Accommodation for additional guests may be requested at an additional charge. We reserve the right to cancel any reservation, without refund, if an unconfirmed number of people stay overnight in the apartment
- Having pets in the apartments without prior permission. Please call Toni Trevino at (956) 500-1392 to obtain permission and to determine if a deposit will be required
- Smoking, vaping, or use of tobacco products takes place within the rooms.
During your stay, your room and all equipment and furniture should be treated with care and kept in order. Immediate notification to Toni Trevino at (956) 500-1392 will be expected of any damages or breakages in the room. You (The Tenant) are financially responsible for any damage to the room. This includes losses caused by you (The Tenant) or your guests' negligent actions and behavior. A summary check will be made of the room at check-out time. However, a more detailed review of the condition of the room and all equipment and facilities will be made soon after check-out and before another guest occupies the room. The Tenant is responsible for any damages or breakages found that are over and above normal wear and tear and usage. In this case, a detailed statement of damage along with an invoice for the repair or replacement cost will be sent by email or fax immediately.
Las Casitas at Rancho Lomitas is not responsible for lost or forgotten personal items in your room or on the premises.
After you have booked your stay with us, you can extend your stay (depending on availability) by simply letting us know before you arrive.
Your stay should be stress-free and for that reason, we have a parking area near your room. By parking a vehicle at our facility, you (and your guests) are doing so on your own accord. Las Casitas at Rancho Lomitas does not take responsibility or accept liability for damage, accident or loss to your vehicle or personal property.

A trash can is available near the cart shed to empty trash. Please use the bags provided to dispose of trash. Do not throw individual items into the outdoor trash can.
We love our dark skies, so please make certain to turn off your porch lights when not in use and certainly before you go to bed or leave for the day.
