Our cabins are locally sourced from the Fish Lake National Forest and are appointed with modern amenities such as a kitchenette and a full bathroom.
Hanksville is centrally located in South Central Utah within a short drive to Capital Reef National Park and the world class Goblin Valley State Park.
We are across the street from a fantastic restaurant, next to a coffee shop, a block away from a grocery store and around the corner from two gas stations.
Please note there is a $25 cleaning fee which is only applied per stay and 100% of it goes to our housekeeping staff. This ensures our staff are able to make a decent wage even when we don't have many cabins booked.
We are a pet friendly property and pet rates are available.
Note: In order to conserve desert resources, we do not offer daily housekeeping during your stay but we are happy to provide additional coffee supplies, clean towels and linens on request.

- If the guest cancels less than 14 days in advance, 50% of the reservation amount will be refunded.
- If the guest cancels less than 3 days in advance, 0% of the reservation amount will be refunded.
- If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the nights not spent 24 hours after the cancellation occurs are 50% refunded.
- In case of a no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged and is non- refundable.
- There is only one way in which we can acknowledge cancellation of the guest’s reservation; the guest must send a cancellation request stating the reservation number via email to the following address: info@muddycreekminingcompany.com or call 877-711-3857
- All cancellations are confirmed via email immediately after the reservation has been canceled.
Terms and Conditions
Reservation Policy:
- Your reservation is guaranteed after we have received your Pre-Payment Deposit. We will hold your room indefinitely as we know travelers may arrive late at night.
- No-shows will not receive a refund.
- We reserve the right to cancel your reservation if we do not receive the Pre-Payment Deposit. We will send you a cancellation confirmation via email immediately after canceling your booking.
- You must be 21 or older to reserve a cabin.
- We are always here! Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. We’ll be ready for you.
- Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. Seize the day, friend!
Smoking is not allowed. You will be subject to a damage fee/fine if smoking is detected in the cabins. Please note that we comply with the local health and safety guidelines and recommendations provided by the EEC on smoking in public places. Please Note: Immediate termination of the rental agreement is possible if:
- More guests stay in the property than agreed
- Excessive noise is made in the evening hours or at night
- Muddy Creek Mining Company does allow pets in the cabins if a pet fee is paid or the pet room rate is applied at the time of reservation. A $50 fine will be claimed if unauthorized pets are allowed in the cabins.
- All our guests are asked to respect the property and privacy of the neighbors and to not make any excessive noise between the hours of 9:00 pm and 08:00 am.
- Muddy Creek Mining Company is not responsible for lost or forgotten personal things at the premises.
- The cabin and all equipment and furniture should be treated with care and kept in order.
- Immediate notification to the staff will be expected of any damages or breakages in the cabin.
- You (The Tenant) is financially responsible for any damage to the apartment. This includes losses caused by you (The Tenant) or a third party negligent actions and behavior.
- A summary check will be made of the apartment check-out time. However, a more detailed review of the condition of the cabin and all equipment and facilities will be made soon after check-out and before another guest occupies the cabin.
- The Tenant is responsible for any damages or breakages found that are over and above normal wear and tear and usage. In this case, a detailed statement of damage along with an invoice for the repair or replacement cost will be sent by email or fax immediately.
- Any costs will be charged immediately.
- Please note, immediate notification after check-out of any damages to, breakages in or issues with the cabin is expected
