At Boots Off Hostel & Campground, we have small unique sleeping spaces for all types of travelers and for all budgets.  From our "Glamping-Style" Tiny Cabins and Canvas Cabin Tents to our semi-private Bunkhouse and primitive shaded "Walk-Down" Campground, we have a comfortable and clean safe space for you.  If you're a hiker in need of laundry, food, resupply, or electricity and Wi-Fi, or someone who needs a base camp while they enjoy hikes on the Appalachian Trail, a paddle on Watauga Lake, or are just driving through needing a quick stop over and night's rest before continuing, we have exactly what you need for a little fun, rest, and relaxation within a beautiful and unique setting.

  • Partial Refund - Half of Deposit Refunded, minus Service Fee, if cancelled within 3 days up to 24 hours of reservation check-in time (2:00 pm).
  • Full Refund - Full Deposit Refunded, minus Service Fee, if cancelled within 3 days or more of reservation check-in time (2:00 pm). 
Terms and Conditions

On-Site and Off-Site Activity Participation Acknowledgement:
I/We, the customer(s), herebyacknowledge that I/we are staying onsite at Boots Off Hostel & Campground or participating in an "Activity" for which Boots Off Hostel& Campground, a Tennessee company, or one of its subsidiaries (individuallyand collectively) is furnishing services or equipment which requiresphysical exercise like walking up and down stairs, ramps, and paths and climbing up and down the slope of the property including walking down to the campground on trails with roots and other natural or unnatural trip hazards.  Also including, but notlimited to, other "Activities" like rafting, kayaking, swimming, stand-up paddle boarding, rockclimbing, hiking, rappelling, zip-lining, and ropes course navigating, orcycling (the “Activity”).  By booking a reservation, I certify that I, and everyone in my group, are in good health and physical condition and donot suffer from any disability which would prevent my/our participation in the "Activity".  I/We agree to abide by any decision of any BootsOff Hostel & Campground employee(s), organizers, volunteers, directors,representatives, agents, and officers regarding my ability to safelyparticipate in the "Activity".  I/We fullyunderstand that I/we may injure myself/ourselves as a result of my/our participation in the "Activity" and that certain injuries may result in death or permanent physicaldisability.  I/We acknowledge and agree thatmy/our participating in any "Activity" may be terminated immediately if Boots Off Hostel& Campground believes, in theirsole discretion, that I/we are unable to complete the "Activity" for any reason, or that I/we are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Damage, Lost, or Stolen Property and Equipment Liability Acknowledgement
I agree that if I, or anyone in my group, damage, lose, or misplace any property, equipment, or item(s) I use or rent from Boots Off Hostel & Campground that Iwill pay for these losses or damages.  Iagree that if Boots Off Hostel & Campground incurs any costs associatedwith recovery of payment for damages or losses (such as court costs) that Iwill reimburse or pay Boots Off Hostel & Campground for these costs as wellas the cost of the damaged or lost property, equipment, or item(s).  Damage to property and item(s) onsite or to equipment like broken fishing rods, bent or broken paddles, ripped or damaged life vest (PFDs), folded(wrapped) canoes, damaged stand-up paddle boards (SUPs) or kayaks along withany other miscellaneous rented equipment (dry bags, leashes, etc.) will becharged for replacement.  If I do not replace or return the damaged, missing, or lost property, equipment, or item(s) within three (3) working days of the due date, I authorize BootsOff Hostel & Campground to charge the full retail purchase price of item(s) in question (see below) to my credit card, minus the deposit.  I understand and agree that I am fullyresponsible for any damage or loss to the property, equipment, or item(s) while onsite and during the time it is rented or checkedout to me. 

*If damage or loss occurs, I authorizeBoots Off Hostel & Campground to charge the cost of replacement or repairto my credit card, minus deposit.
It is solely thediscretion of Boots Off Hostel & Campground to determine if damaged property, equipment, or item(s) will be repaired or replaced at the renter’s expense.

RiskAcknowledgement, Indemnity and Release

In consideration of staying overnight onsite and my/our participation in the "Activity", I/we hereby assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with participation inthe "Activity" including, but not limited to, any injuries resulting from falling trees and limbs, trips and falls,contact with other participants, the conditions of "Activity" sites, bodilyinjuries, and death.  To the fullestextent permitted by law, I/we hereby agree to indemnify, hold harmless and defend Boots Off Hostel &Campground, as well as, whereapplicable, the Tennessee Valley Authority, the State of Tennessee, the U.S.Forest Service, the United States of America, and other any federal or stategovernmental agencies or other entities who may have an interest in any real property, river,lake, or waterway on which the "Activity" takes place(individually and collectively, the “Indemnified Parties”) from and against anyand all claims, losses, damages, expenses and other liabilities (including, butnot limited to, court costs and a arising out of or resulting in whole or inpart from my participation in the "Activity". I for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, including, but notlimited to my heirs and successors, hereby RELEASE, WAIVE, AND FOREVER DISCHARGEthe "Indemnified Parties" from any and all claims, losses, damages, expenses andother liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in the "Activity" even if such claims, losses, damages, expenses, and other liabilities arise outof negligence or carelessness on the part of any or all of the of the "IndemnifiedParties".

Media Release

I/We hereby grant and convey to Boots Off Hostel &Campground all rights, title, and interest I/we may have in any and all photographs,motion pictures, video recordings, and any other recordings made while onsite or engaged in the "Activity".  Further, Boots Off Hostel & Campground shall have theright to exploit such recordings throughout the universe, an unlimited numberof times, in perpetuity by any and all means and media, now known or hereafterinvented.

MedicalEmergencies and
Indemnity andRelease:

I/We hereby give permission to Boots Off Hostel& Campground to contact emergency services for help, whether or not BootsOff Hostel & Campground contacted my emergency contact and give permissionto a licensed physician or other licensed medical provider to provide propertreatment, including but not limited to hospitalization, injection, anesthesiaand/or surgery.  I/We hereby RELEASE, WAIVE, AND FOREVER DISCHARGEBoots Off Hostel & Campground from any and all claims, liabilities, causesof action, damages, demands, judgments, executions, liens and costs whatsoeverin law or equity, including, without limitation, liability for death or bodilyinjuries to any person or damage to any property resulting from any (i) claimsmade against medical providers of emergency services under this authorization,or (ii) against Boots Off Hostel & Campground for obtaining emergencymedical services for me pursuant to this authorization and waiver.

SavingsClause/Severability Clause

If any provision(s), or portion thereof, of this Agreement beinvalidated on any ground by a court of competent jurisdiction, then theinvalidity shall not affect otherprovisions and applications of the Agreement which can be given effect withoutthe invalid provisions or applications. To this end, all parties agree provisionsof this Agreement are declared to be severable.

Entire AgreementClause/Merger Clause
This Agreement and any Attachments heretoconstitute the entire agreement between the contracting parties concerning thesubject matter hereof. All prior agreements, discussions, representations,warranties and covenants are merged herein.  There are no warranties,representations, covenants, or agreements, expressed or implied, between theparties except those expressly set forth in this agreement.  Any amendments ormodifications of this agreement shall be in writing and executed by thecontracting parties.
