The Wakefield Inn is registered as a historic landmark on the National Historic Register of Places situation in the Historic District of Wakefield and Sanborniville, NH.   We are currently operated by Province Lake Golf Enterprises, another historic property just fifteen minutes away with a 100 year old 18 hole Golf Course, Clubhouse, Restaurant, Wedding Barn and Five Chimney's Inn.

The first floor of your Inn has a people 40 seat restaurant and intimate "speakeasy" for a cocktail before dinner for nightcap before bed.   A wrap around front porch is perfect for a glass of wine in the evening.   We offer coffee and a breakfast pastry before your departure.

Our executive Chef Christopher Ciarfella and General Manager Sabin Beckwith have developed popular restaurants in the area and now call the Wakefield Inn, and Carriage House Bistro at PLG, home.  You will find scratch made food, friendly service in a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.  Our seven room Inn is popular with locals for lodging and dining and a destination for people celebrating events or visiting family in the area.  Convenient to North Conway, Portland, Maine and Portsmouth it's a great getaway location.

Payments and Cancellation Policy (Per Room) Payment in full is required at the time of reservation.    Due to the limited number of rooms, a 50% cancellation fee will apply to any reservation cancelled more than 14 days prior to check in.  Any reservation cancelled within 14 days of arrival will forfeit entire deposit. A credit card must be kept on file in order to check in to your room.  Damage to linens, towels and Inn property above and beyond normal wear and tear will result in a replace/repair charge to the credit card on file. You will be emailed prior to the charge and agree by checking in to pay any fees resulting in the above.  Linens, pillows, towels or robes removed from removes will be charged to your credit card on file. Rooms which are part of a requested room block require payment in full within 21 days of the blocks hold and are not subject refund at any point.

Terms and Conditions

PLEASE NOTE:  ROOM 2 is the only room with a private NON-ATTACHED bathroom.  All other rooms have ensuites.  
All rooms are subject to 9% New Hampshire Lodging Tax.
Rooms require pre-payment to book.  Check in is 3pm and Check out is 11am.
We recommend reservations for the restaurant in advance or at booking of your room.
Well behaved children are allowed with advance notice.
Parking is in the front of the Inn.  Overflow parking is at the Church across the street and you should see the front desk for a parking pass.
We try to accommodate all needs but are a 200+ year old Inn and due to the historic nature of the building are not handicap accessible.  Elevators and lifts are not available.
We are a non-smoking property.  Smoking in your room will be cause for a $250.00 charge to your card on file for cleaning.
Hotel events area advertised in advance.
