Le Manoir Sur-le-Cap is located near the Château Frontenac and Notre-Dame Basilica, in Old Quebec, in the heart of North America's most historic district.
On this site, facing the Governors' Garden, a wooden house was built at the end of the eighteenth century. After purchasing it in 1837, William L. Felton had the hovel demolished and a comfortable stone house built for himself. The property was then bought by Georges Mellis Douglas, a doctor by profession. It is the latter that opens Grosse Île to sick immigrants. He became the medical superintendent there. During the years 1856 and 1857, the house belonged to the painter Théophile Hamel, who settled there after his marriage.

Parking
There is some street parking available on weekends but spaces are very limited.The best option is Maison de Beaucours which is an underground parking lot down the street (2 min walk) at 22$ CAD per 24 hours – see link below :https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.355125304531531.83377.124565750920822&type=3You may also park at City hall which is about a five minute walk and the rate is 18$/24h.
Preauthorization of credit card
A preauthorization of 0.02$ will be done in order to verify the validity of your card before we can confirm your reservation. A preauthorization DOES NOT CHARGE anything from your account. 0.02$ will be frozen in your account for a duration of 2 to 7 days before being unfrozen.
Pets
We are not able to accomodate pets in our establishment. Pets are strictly forbidden.
Extra person
An extra person will be charged 20CAD/night, starting with the 3rd additional person. The base price of the room only includes the price for 2 person. These applies only to Family, Deluxe Suite and Greater Deluxe Suite rooms. The maximum occupancy for these rooms are 4 people.
Children
Extra children will be charged according to extra adult price: 20CAD per person, starting with the 3rd additional person. Children under 2 will not be charged, and can be provided with a crib free of charge.
Accessibility
Our hotel is built within an antique home that espouses the Old City of Quebec's architecture. As such, no elevator are available. Only 3 rooms are at ground level, all other rooms require to be accessed by stairs.
Smoking
Our hotel is a strictly non-smoking establishement. Smoking indoor is prohibited and will be fined 200CAD.
