Each room of this Vermont Bed & Breakfast has been completely restored and decorated in period fashion. Guests may choose from three smaller rooms, all with queen or full sized beds and private baths, or 2 master rooms, each with its own fireplace and private bath.
Dine in the formal dining room or enjoy a sumptuous full breakfast in the less formal café area or sunny deck. Enjoy the exquisite gardens from one of four outside porches; take in a novel in the enchanting living room, or, simply sip a cup of French press coffee or tea in one of the two sitting rooms offered by the house. A major credit card is required to secure your stay and your first night will be charged to your card to confirm. Your balance will be charged at check-in or during your stay-- you may pay with an alternate payment method by requesting same at check-in. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Cash, or Check.

A bed and breakfast stay or event is a cozy, one- of- a- kind experience. As a result of limited rooms, most bookings are made well in advance. Therefore, cancellations impose significant problems. If you find you must cancel, cancellations must be made fourteen (14) days prior to the date of arrival to avoid full room charges. In the event we are able to rebook the room for the duration of your booking, you will receive a deposit refund, less 10% rebooking fee. Cancellations for peak or event weekends are subject to deposit loss and full room charges if we cannot rebook the room and have already turned away others who wished to book but could not due to that reservation, especially in cases where more than one room has been reserved for you.
Cancellations for the Carriage Barn/Events forfeit deposit unless we are able to rebook the same dates, and then a 25% rebooking fee applies.
If a guest does not arrive and honor their reservation, or contact us to cancel, they will be charged for the full amount of the stay.
Cancellations or changes made within 10 days of scheduled reservation may be subject to a rebooking fee, or a change fee, particularly on peak or event weekends. The fee amount depends upon the length of the reservation, the proximity of the change to original check-in date, and the length of time the reservation has been in existence, preventing others from booking.
In the event we make an exception, either for a one-night stay during a two-night mimimum period, early check-in, or late departure, we reserve the right to apply surcharges as needed.
We are a non-smoking inn. Additional charges may appy if this policy is violated, or if we must expend extra cleaning and other efforts to expunge smoke odors.
Though the reservation software default setting is for 2 persons, when booking the Carriage Barn for an event, the number we add into the reservation notes based upon our discussions with you is the target number of attendees/participants. A final headcount will be requested based upon our mutual agreement.
"Bar" on Premises
Please note that we have a first class liquor license. In order for us not to be in violation of that license, only alcohol purchased from our bar may be consumed.
As a general rule, we do not allow pets. Please call with respect to service animals.
