Back Inn Time was formerly housed in an old Victorian Manor in Saint Albans CIty. WIth city growth, came a rise in city noise and other common issues. KarenMarie, the owner, had been in hospitality for about twenty years (Back Inn Time is her third bed and breakfast, which she has operated for 12 years,) and realized the trend toward a quiet stay with more creature comforts was definitely on the horizon.
In the Fall of 2024, she moved Back Inn Time to an almost five acre lot just ten minutes away in order to provide a more soothing and inspirational experience. You will still enjoy the elevated hospitality but now, with many more amenities and lush surrounds.
Each room of this Vermont guest house has been completely renovated and decorated since then. At present we are only offering two suites--one king and one queen--with private baths, and a shared living room and full kitchen. Each suite has it's own digital door locks and Roku television, as well. A third suite will be added in late Spring of 2025.
More amenities! We have a fitness room for your use, as well as an infrared sauna, saltwater hot tub, and heated inground pool. Plenty of beautiful vistas and walking trails will round out your experience--all within minutes of restaurants, shops, and more.
Breakfast goodies are provided--coffee, teas, orange juice, especially. However, the option to add on more breakfast or goodies is avaiilable. SInce guests have access to their own full kitchen, there is no more need to accomodate a schedule. Have your coffee when you're ready. Preorder from our grocery list--or get full grocery servce to enjoy lunch, dinner, or snacks as well. Simply send us an email or give us a call. Local beer, wine, and ciders are also available.

All bed and breakfast room rates are single or double occupancy, per night. Please note that we guarantee the best available rate only when you book directly through our website. Feel free to contact us at (802) 527-5116 for questions about our lowest rate guarantee.
Please note that breakfast is not included (small goodies, coffee, teas, juice ARE included) unless agreed upon in advance. Since you have a full kitchen you can preorder breakfast items, or preorder groceries by calling or emailing prior to your stay.
A major credit card is required to secure your stay and your first night will be charged to your card to confirm. For stays of four nights or longer, a two night deposit is usually charged. Your balance will be charged at check-in or during your stay-- you may pay with an alternate payment method by requesting same at check-in. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Cash, or AMEX.

Check-in is between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. Please call for earlier or later check-in. Please indicate check-in time when reserving your room(s).
Check-out is between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m.
We reserve the right to charge a fee for very early arrivals.
Cancellations
A bed and breakfast stay or event is a cozy, one- of- a- kind experience. As a result of limited rooms, most bookings are made well in advance. Therefore, cancellations impose significant problems. If you find you must cancel, cancellations must be made fourteen (14) days prior to the date of arrival to avoid full room charges. In the event we are able to rebook the room for the duration of your booking, you will receive a deposit refund, less 10% rebooking fee. Cancellations for peak or event weekends are subject to deposit loss and full room charges if we cannot rebook the room and have already turned away others who wished to book but could not due to that reservation, especially in cases where more than one room has been reserved for you or you have booked a stay of four days or more.
No Shows
If a guest does not arrive and honor their reservation, or contact us to cancel, they will be charged for the full amount of the stay.
Cancellations or changes made within 10 days of scheduled reservation may be subject to a rebooking fee, or a change fee, particularly on peak or event weekends. The fee amount depends upon the length of the reservation, the proximity of the change to original check-in date, and the length of time the reservation has been in existence, preventing others from booking.
Additional Fees
In the event we make an exception, either for a one-night stay during a two-night minimum period, early check-in, or late departure, we reserve the right to apply surcharges as needed.
We are a non-smoking inn. Additional charges may apply if this policy is violated, or if we must expend extra cleaning and other efforts to expunge smoke odors.
Pets
As a general rule, we do not allow pets. Please call with respect to service animals.
