Property and Cancelation Policies :
Please be confident in your travel plans when you book, and ensure you are diligent in reading our policies and requirements. We highly encourage utilizing travel insurance to ensure an additional layer of protection against financial loss due to unforeseen events before and during your trip.
Cancellations made within 72-hours from the reservation check-in date (4PM on the day of your arrival) will result in charges of one night's stay plus any applicable fees and taxes, regardless of circumstances.
We will not issue refunds for changes of plans, cancellation of flights, road closures, sicknesses, exposures to COVID or anything that could possibly stand in the way of your travel to The PAD. Thank you for your understanding.

Reservations must be canceled or amended via email within the respective cancellation window in advance of check-in (4PM on the day of your arrival) to avoid penalty. Full refunds will be given for any reservations cancelled outside of the cancellation window. Reservations canceled within the respective cancellation window will be charged one night’s stay plus any applicable fees and taxes. This cancellation policy is not applicable to non-refundable promotions, which will be charged in full upon booking. No adjustments to the number of beds or nights booked may be made inside the cancellation window without written approval.
Third party booking sites may have stricter cancellation windows, and the policy listed at the time of booking will be enforced. If the booking was made through a third party site, guests must cancel or amend it on the site where the booking was made to avoid any confusion or additional fees.

Lodging Tax Increase:
Effective June 1, 2024 - all reservations will reflect an 8% lodging tax - this is an increase of 2% from the previous amount. All reservations from 6/1/2024 will be charged this regardless of when the booking was made. Thank you for your understanding.
Pricing and Payment
Room and dorm bed rates are nightly and based on occupancies described in the room descriptions visible when booking. With the exception of shared dorm rooms, all room rates include at least double occupancies (2 adults). Shared dorm room rates are for (1) twin bed for (1) individual over the age of 18. Taxes and fees are subject to change, are not displayed in the room rate, and will be applied to the total booking amount at checkout. We do not accept 3rd party payment. Credit or Debit cards used for reservation booking payment must belong to at least one of the guests staying in the party.
Shared Dorm Room Policy
Shared dorm room beds are designed for (1) individual and no more than (1) person may occupy any single dorm room bed at any time. No individuals (14) years or younger may stay in the shared dorm rooms under any circumstance. Individuals between the ages of 15 and 18 years old may stay in the shared dorm rooms provided that they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. No pets are allowed in shared dorm rooms with the exception of service animals. Maximum stay in a shared bunkroom is (14) nights. Please be aware that housekeeping hours are between 10AM and 4PM, therefore housekeepers may be in the room tidying up during that time. Bed selection occurs upon arrival. Shared dorm rooms offer (1) in room locker per person on a first come first serve basis. Please adhere to all of the policies in the below locker policy. Outside visitors are not allowed in the shared dorm rooms at any time. Food and drink are not allowed in the shared dorm areas, with the exception of water in a closed container. Preparation of food in our dorm rooms by any type of cooking appliance is prohibited, including but not limited to coffee makers, hot plates, toaster ovens, water heaters, rice cookers, combustible, open flame, barbecue grill, burners, heating appliance, or any other item intended for cooking. We have a full kitchen for our guest's use on the first level next to the bar. The Pad Silverthorne is not responsible in any way for lost, stolen or damaged items in the dorm rooms, bathrooms, community kitchen or any other public space. Dorm room guests must be a traveler with residency 30 miles outside of Summit County limits with valid ID. The Pad Silverthorne reserves the right to ask for proof of onward travel.
If there should be any incident caused by a guest at any time resulting in financial losses or incurrences of The PAD, the guest will be responsible for these fees, payments or whatever costs are incurred.
Minors and Children
Individuals under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times while on the premises.
Parking
Parking is limited and on a first come first serve basis. There may be no more than (1) vehicle per private room and no more than (1) vehicle per every (2) individuals on the same reservation staying in shared accommodations. Please email info@thepadlife.com if you're bringing a large vehicle and/or trailer so we can make arrangements for you in advance. If you arrive to a full lot, please utilize our port cochere when checking in to unload, then follow directions to our satellite lot at 400 Palmers Drive, .3 miles north of The PAD. Refer to this page for more information and to see an easy map for the satellite lot.
Pets
Dog-friendly rooms are available upon request, though they are limited and subject to availability. Advance reservations are required by guests traveling with dogs by emailing info@thepadlife.com prior to booking. All dogs must be registered with the front desk upon arrival. There is a $50 dog fee per pet per stay (2 dogs maximum). Guests keeping unregistered pets will be charged a $300.00 cleaning fee and may be asked to leave the premises, thereby forfeiting any and all prepaid costs.
We want to ensure a great experience for all of our guests, including our furry ones! Dogs are not permitted to be left unattended in our rooms; please arrange for a pet sitter or have plans to keep your dog with you. If pets are found left unattended in a room, or a complaint from other guests that there is a barking dog, a minimum of a $100 fee will be added to the reservation.
Due to allergies, cats are not allowed on property.
While Emotional Support Animals or Comfort Animals are often used as part of a medical treatment plan as therapy animals, they are not considered service animals under the ADA and will be subject to our pet fee.
Smoking and Alcohol
The PAD Silverthorne is a non-smoking property (this includes tobacco, e-cigarettes, vapes, and cannabis). Smoking and drug use are strictly prohibited in all of The PAD Silverthorne rooms and common areas. An additional $300 cleaning fee will automatically be charged to any guest caught smoking on property. The public smoking area is located in the parking lot near the trash enclosure. You must be 21 years of age to drink alcohol on property. Consumption of outside alcohol on the property is prohibited.
Quiet Hours & Events
Hotel quiet hours are from 11PM - 7AM in common areas and 8PM - 8AM in rooms. Certain common areas and amenities of The Pad Silverthorne may be blocked off at various times for private events with restricted access for guests.
Locker Policy & Storage of Valuables
Shared dorm rooms offer (1) in room locker per person on a first come first serve basis. Both indoor & outdoor gear storage is also available behind the front desk on the main floor. All lockers are property of The Pad Silverthorne. At no time does the property relinquish its exclusive control of lockers which are assigned to its guests for convenience and temporary use. Guests are responsible for any items placed in the lockers and The Pad Silverthorne will not be responsible for the loss or damage of goods under any conditions. Furthermore, guests are not permitted to store any type of drugs, alcohol, illegal substances, firearms, explosives, chemicals, food or live animals in lockers. Items that are, in the opinion of The Pad Silverthorne, hazardous or could cause a nuisance to the property, staff, or guests may be refused, destroyed or removed at the user's expense without the user being entitled to enforce any claim to the items at any time thereafter. Inspection of the interior of lockers may be conducted by The Pad Silverthorne, for any reason at any time, without notice, without guest consent, and without a search warrant. The personal possessions of guests within The Pad Silverthorne lockers may be searched when reasonable suspicion that the search will uncover evidence of a violation of state or federal law or property policy exists. As soon as practical before the search of a locker, notice of the search will be informed to the guest before lockers will be searched unless disclosure would impede an investigation. Any material left in a locker after the assignment ceases will be removed and secured by The Pad Silverthorne. These items will be stored at the Front Desk for up to 7 days, after which all unclaimed items will become property of The Pad Silverthorne. Additionally, The Pad Silverthorne maintains a safe where money, jewelry, documents, or other small valuable articles may be deposited during guest stays. These items may be deposited with the front desk for storage in the safe during guest stays. The Pad Silverthorne will not be responsible for the receipt of or the shipping of any package or mail on behalf of a guest.
Shipping and Receiving
A shipping and receiving fee of $10.00 per package under seventy (70) pounds will be assessed. For packages seventy (70) pounds or greater, a fee of $0.25 per pound will be assessed. These fees apply to all packages received and/or shipped and are subject to change. These charges will be billed to the room.
