One of our most favorite features of the McKenzie room is its private access to the Flying Wyrm library down a spiral staircase. Lastly, it is one of our three pet-friendly rooms: you are able to indicate during the check out process your pet is a guest at Mount Tom, too. Pets are an additional $25/night. Behind The Name: Each of the rooms is named for a location of some of our favorite places to run in Eugene. McKenzie View Drive is one of Eugene's most famous roads. It was the road where Bill Bowerman lived and where the business agreement for Blue Ribbon Sports (precursor to Nike) was signed by Bill, Phil Knight and John Jaqua. The road provides runners and cyclists with rolling terrain and views of the McKenzie River. Located east of Eugene off of Highway 56, the scenic and rolling gravel road strings alongside the lake providing runners with views of the water and mountains.
