Waterside Inn Policies, Rules and Regulations:
TAXES:
- 9% Puerto Rico Room Tax will be added to your reservation total and paid on your behalf to Puerto Rico Tourism Company
CANCELLATION POLICY:
- 100% of your stay is charged 7 days prior to arrival. If you cancel within 7 days, you forfeit full amount.
- Cancel 8 or more days before arrival and no charges or cancellation fees.
- We recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unexpected cancellations.
- Direct Bookings: If you booked directly with us (on our website), cancel via email to roomsvieques@gmail.com.
- Third Party Bookings: If you booked through a platform such as Booking, Expedia or Airbnb, you must cancel through them first and forward the cancellation confirmation to roomsvieques@gmail.com.
- Early check-outs do not qualify for refunds or adjustments unless they meet specific criteria as outlined below. Refunds will only be considered for documented hardship cases that are not covered by the guest’s travel insurance. All early check-out refund requests must be submitted in writing and received before the standard checkout time of 11:00 AM on the intended departure date. Verbal requests will not be accepted. Refunds or adjustments are valid only if the hotel provides written approval prior to checkout. Approval is at the hotel’s sole discretion and subject to review of the hardship documentation provided by the guest.
PARKING:
- Limited free parking is available next to Lazy Jacks, with ample street parking nearby past Lazy Jacks and Orchidea.
CHECK-IN:
- Check-in is fully contactless and self-guided. Instructions (door code, lockbox code and WiFi details) will be sent at 1pm on your arrival day via AirBnb messages, Booking.com messages, Expedia messages, emails, texts or WhatsApp.
- Check-in is anytime after 3pm. You can drop off luggage in the storage area if you arrive earlier. Please let us know if you require these instructions before your arrival. We are not liable for valuables left in the storage area.
- Lazy Jacks bathrooms are available before Check-in.
RULES:
- Lazy Jacks bartenders are not Waterside Inn employees. For assistance, please call or text 787-741-5555.
- Keep your room key secure and do not let others into the guesthouse. If someone loses their key, contact a guesthouse representative.
- Avoid bringing food into the rooms. Common Caribbean wildlife includes lizards, crabs, mosquitoes and more.
- Room Occupancy:
- Premium and Standard Queen rooms accommodate a maximum of two guests.
- Loft rooms have two full-size beds and can accommodate up to four guests.
- Room Occupancy cannot exceed the stated maximum.
- Check out by 11am. A $50 late fee applied if you check out after 11am, and an additional $100 will be charged if the cleaning staff needs to pack and move your luggage.
- Return your key to the lockbox near your door. Keys not properly returned may result in a lost key charge.
- Luggage can be left in the storage area for late departures. Guests may use the bathroom and shower behind Orchidea Restaurant after check-out.
NOISE:
- Loft Bed Rooms and Superior Queen Rooms are attached to Lazy Jacks Pub, a "late-night" venue. Earplugs are provided in each room.
- The Malecon is a lively place, especially on weekends and holidays. You are choosing to stay in the middle of it all. We do not give refunds for noise.
- Quiet hours in common areas are from 10pm to 9am.
- Amplified music should not be audible outside the rooms.
DAMAGES & OTHER CHARGES:
- A copy of your credit card is kept on file for damages or lost keys. If your booking platform does not provide a credit card number, we will request one at check-in.
- Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. A $200 fine applies for smoking inside rooms.
- We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the hotel’s property or structure.
- We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of replacing any items that are removed from the premises by them without consent.
- Waterside Inn is not liable for lost or stolen items.
AGE RESTRICTIONS:
- Children under 18 are welcome to stay, but must be accompanied by an adult on the same reservation.
SERVICE ANIMALS:
- Service Animals are welcome with a completed registration form at check-in. A $200 deposit is required, refundable after room inspection at check-out.
- Pets are not allowed, except for registered service animals.
