What began in 1917 as a three-room schoolhouse on a hill, and before Eagle Mountain Lake was built, is now a three-suite, unique lodging experience. Located near Azle and Springtown, Texas, the B&B is 30 minutes from fine dining downtown or the famous Stockyards and Rodeo of Fort Worth, Texas. Whether you are booking one suite for a romantic getaway or booking all three suites for a friends gettogether, I'm sure you will enjoy your stay at the schoolhouse.
We have accomodated Guests from around the world. Many are repeat Guests.
A few things to remember:
A delicious breakfast is brought to you (between 8:15 - 8:30 AM) in the privacy of your suite or on your patio. We pick up the breakfast trays about an hour later or if guest prefers, sooner.
Our Suites offer modern accommodations with sitting areas, private entrances,and complimentary drinks and snacks. Be it a romantic getaway, honeymoon night or anniversary, we can make your stay extra special. Let us set up your Suite (pre-arrival ) for a special occasion by adding a Romance Package ($85) or Birthday Package ($50) to your stay. Your options to select an add-on package will show after confirmation. Descriptions of the Packages will show at the time of selection. Or ask for details after booking, we can help you.
Each suite has a small refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker with supplies and choices of coffee or hot tea. Drinks in the refrigerator are complimentary.
Fine linens, comfortable beds, toiletries and robes await our guests. We pick up the breakfast trays about an hour later or if guest prefers, sooner.

The Old Liberty Schoolhouse is a unique get-away weekend destination, a business traveller peaceful haven, or a convenient place to stay near the many wedding/event venues in the Azle and Springtown area. We are not far from Boyd, Texas either.

Property and Cancelation Policies :
Please read carefully.
In the unlikely event, if your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us at least 14 (fourteen) days prior to your arrival date to cancel your reservation and there will be no charge.
However, if we can rebook the suite there will be no charge.
I you are checked in and decide to shorten your stay or check out early you will be charged for your entire reservation.
IF you have any concerns about a cancellation, we recommend that you purchase a traveler protection insurance policy. CSA Travel Protection 866-999-4018 is only one of many companies you might contact.
No shows are charged the full amount of their reservation.
Terms and Conditions
Please take the time to make yourself familiar with these policies. We are a small B&B and have these policies in order to give the best experience possible for our Guests. By booking with us we understand you are in agreement with all our policies.
Must be 21 years old to book a stay.
Minimum 2-night stay.
Guest agrees to provide the B&B with their estimated arrival time.
Balance due prior to or upon arrival. Must show proof of ID with payment.
Maximum length of stay is no longer than 7days.
Guest agrees to provide their credit card with ID upon arrival for damages, incidentals, or any other add-ons during their stay.
We have made the Old Liberty Schoolhouse a smoking-free building. However, smoking is allowed outside but, not on the porches. If a Guest chooses to smoke, be thoughtful of others and not throw trash on the ground. Thank you.
We love children but are unequipped to accommodate infants, toddlers, and children under 12 years of age. Teens must be with an adult who is registered as a Guest at the B&B. Teens must be with adult at all times.
Please no burning candles, open flames or incense within the property.
We have a quiet time. It begins at 10:00pm - 8:00am. No after-parties or large gatherings are allowed.
We love pets but cannot entertain yours. Because Miss Spooks (an outside black cat) lives here. Our Guests be maybe greeted by her for a quick "Hello". Guests understand she is around the grounds and our Guests are comfortable with her being around. Miss Spooks is not allowed in the suites.
The property is gated for the accommodation and enjoyment of Registered Guests only. Before you arrive, a notice will be sent with entry information. Please do not share codes with others unless you have notified us of doing so. Covered parking is sometimes available.
In the event (like severe weather, ice-storms, illness, etc.,) should arise, we reserve the right to cancel a reservation. Letting guests know to make other arrangements. We will try to reschedule if possible.
Guests agree that B&B will not be responsible for any damage caused to any Guest's car while parked on the property or any missing articles left inside vehicle or suite.
Check-in is from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. If arriving outside of our normal check-in times, please call or text to make arrangements with us 817-219-4071.
Check out time is 11:00 AM. A late checkout will be charged $40.00 an hour till guest is checked out. We are a small staff and desire to provide a clean suite for our next guest's arrival.

No firearms allowed on the property.
We reserve the right to ask disruptive guest/s to leave the property immediately.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
We are not responsible for the lost/ left articles of Guests at the property.
Guests agree to reimburse for damages or loss they caused to any property here at The Old Liberty Schoolhouse. Guests understand they may be charged for heavily soiled towels, linens, robes and other items. Guest will promptly notify of soils or stains that have occurred during stay.
Breakfast is included with stay along with soda, water, coffee and snacks. Complimentary room service brings breakfast to the suite or to one of the patios of choice.
We do our best to serve breakfast around 8:15-8:30 AM (give or take a few).
No housekeeping is provided. However, for our Guest with a week stay, fresh towels and trash pickup are available upon request,
This property IS for staying Guests ONLY. ***However, with prior approval and information to B&B, Guests may have visiting family/friends visit the B&B during their stay.
History tours of the schoolhouse are given to Guests upon request with prior scheduling.
