Our historic building is beautifully remodeled to retain the classic design of the past while adding luxury amenities to provide the utmost in comfort. There are 28 rooms on two floors with a mixture of sizes including 4 Suites.
- All rooms have custom tiled bathrooms, Smart TVS, luxury linens, and a lovely array of Beekman 1802 amenities. Refrigerators are provided in some of our rooms, inquire about availability.
- A deluxe hot breakfast and our locally roasted coffee is included in your room rate.
- The historic characteristic of our building (originally constructed in 1917) means we do not have an elevator or handicap accessibility. We apologize for this inconvenience, but can locate you on the first floor with a few stairs into the building.
- We offer dog friendly rooms subject to availability and a $30 fee per night per dog with a limit of 2 dogs per room. Please call the hotel directly to make a reservation for you and your four-legged friend.

A reservation must be cancelled by 3 pm (24 hours prior to check-in) the day before you are scheduled to arrive. Reservations cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the day of arrival will be charged the full room rate for one night plus taxes.

Cancellation Policy: 24 hours prior notice for cancellation is required to avoid a charge to your credit card which is equal to one night plus tax based on the rate of the room you reserved. A “no-show” charge equal to one night plus tax, based on the type of room you reserved, will be charged to your credit card if you do not arrive without cancelling.Guaranteed Reservations: All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit or debit card. The credit/debit card used to hold your reservations is to guarantee your reservation and will not be charged unless you cancel within 24 hours of arrival. Credit card must not expire before reservation date. Minimum age to rent a room at The Calvert Hotel is 21 years of age. Identification will be required to verify age.
Payment types: We accept cash, American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. If paying cash a valid credit or debit card will be scanned for incidentals. Your credit card will be charged for your stay upon check in, unless you have prepaid through a third party such as Expedia. Please be prepared to provide a photo ID for the person whose name is on the reservation, and to supply vehicle description and license plate number upon check in.
Breakfast: Included with your room rate is a full hot breakfast and our locally roasted gourmet coffee from Rising Trout.
Dogs: We have a limited number of dog rooms. The charge is $30.00 per dog, per night. Two dog limit per room. These rooms are based on availability and can only be reserved by calling the Front Desk at 406-535-5411. Dog rooms may not be booked online. Dogs may not be left unattended in guest room or on the property at any time. In case of damage or if dog is left unattended, we reserve the right to charge s minimum of $50.00 .
Rates: Rates are based on double occupancy. For additional individuals (more than two and over 12 years of age) in a room where occupancy warrants, the fee is $10.00 per person. We do offer discounted rates for senior citizens and military.
Internet: Wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel and is free for all guests. Ask for the password at Front Desk.
Parking: Parking is free to our guests. We have angle parking in front of the hotel, side street parking, and a paved parking lot at the side of the hotel for guest use.
The Calvert Hotel is over 100 years old and was built as a dormitory for students in 1917. Keep in mind this historic building is unique. Each room has heating and air conditioning and its own bathroom with both a shower and tub. Access to the building is by stairs, and access to rooms on the second floor and breakfast in the dining room are also by stairs. We do not have an elevator. You may request a room on the first floor and we can assist you in bringing items to your room. Certain rooms have refrigerators, and we do have some refrigerators, subject to availability, that can be requested for long stays if you are not in a room with a permanent refrigerator. There are no microwaves in the rooms, but we do have a microwave available at the front desk for guest use. At any time during your stay with us, please feel free to let us know if we can make your stay more enjoyable, we are always available at the front desk to help.
