HILLVIEW MOTEL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please read these terms and conditions carefully. When you make a booking, you accept on behalf of your party the terms of these booking conditions. It is your responsibility to ensure that all of the details on your confirmation documents are correct and to bring to our attention any errors or discrepancies within 48 hours of your booking.The following terms and conditions will be enforced by the property managers:

 1. BOOKINGS AND QUOTES
Bookings can be made online at www.hillviewmotel.com.au or by calling Hillview Motel on (07) 4787 1973. Reservations are subject to availability and actual pricing at the time of booking. Verbal quotes are valid for 24 hours only. Any verbal quote given is an estimate only of price, which will be subject to a written advice on confirmation of booking. You agree to pay the rate for each night of your stay and any additional charges up until the time you have departed the accommodation. The accommodation may be occupied by you only for the period stated on the booking confirmation.

 2. PAYMENT POLICY
The Hillview Motel accepts Cash and EFTPOS payments on arrival.Cheques:Are accepted on prior arrangement with management, providing the cheque is received at least 7 days prior to arrival in order to ensure the cheque clears.Direct Credit:Is accepted provided payments are made at least 3 days prior to arrival and have appeared in our bank account. Please let reception know before making a payment so we will expect it in our account. Please put your reservation number in the comments when making the payment.Company Chargeback:Is accepted provided the company has an approved credit account with the Motel. We require a copy of the Purchase Order or written chargeback information.This must be received in email to motelhillview@bigpond.com

 3. SECURITY DEPOSIT
Your credit card may be debited in the event of damage to the property, equipment, breakages or if extra cleaning is required.

 4. ZERO TOLERANCE PARTY POLICY
 In the interests of quiet enjoyment and respect for all guests at the motel, a no party policy applies to all guests staying at the property. Guests are always expected to be respectful of other guests , and to be quiet between 10pm and 7am. No group congregations in individual guest rooms is permitted or tolerated. Immediate eviction with no refund applies to any breaches of this policy.In the event of a Function or Group booking, Management is entitled to exercise discretion to other Guests if advised, approved and confirmed prior to the event.

 5. CANCELLATION POLICY
At the time of making a reservation, all guests will be required to provide a current and valid credit card number to confirm and secure the reservation. In some instances, guests may be asked for a deposit which must be received by the motel not less than one week prior to the day of expected arrival.A 48-hour cancellation policy applies to all bookings. Any cancellation made after 2pm two days prior to arrival will incur one nights accommodation being charged to the guests credit card, or in the case of deposits received, the deposit monies will be non-refundable. Cancellations on or after 2pm on the day of arrival will result in the full amount of the booking being charged to the guest credit card, or deposits received being non-refundable. Longer cancellation periods apply for peak periods and these policies will be communicated to each individual guest at the time the reservation is made and/or confirmed.Group bookings have extended cancellation policies which will be specifically advised at the time the booking is confirmed.

 6. NON-SMOKING
In the event of any physical evidence, or residual odour, which indicates that smoking of any form has taken place inside a guest room, a charge of $250 will be made against the credit card provided to the motel at the time of making the booking and/or at the time of checking in. This charge will cover the cost of steam cleaning the carpet and other soft furnishings, and of laundering all bedding.

 7. PETS
We do have a limited amount of rooms that are “Pet Friendly”, anyone wanting to bring pets to the motel are required to phone the motel to reserve a “Pet Friendly” room. Pets staying are at the motel’s discretion and extra charges may apply. Please phone to book or to find out more information. Pet friendly rooms can only be booked directly (not via booking companies).

 8. PROPERTY DAMAGE
Any damage to motel property, whether accidental or willful, is the responsibility of the registered guest for each particular room. Any costs associated with repairs and/or replacement will be charged to the credit card of the registered guest. In extreme cases, criminal charges will be pursued.

 9. MANAGERS DISCRETION
Management is entitled to exercise discretion and either revoke a booking or resell a room in the following instances:• If a guest arrives to check-in in an intoxicated or disruptive state• Has not confirmed the booking • Fails to arrive within a reasonable time of the advised ETA. The onus is on the guest to advise of any delays for arrival time.• Group Bookings will be accepted at the discretion of the managers after an assessment has been made as to any likely disruption to other guests.

 10. NUMBER OF GUESTS
At no time during your occupancy is the number of guests staying to exceed the number booked, unless prior approval is sought and given by management. The use of extra beds other than the number booked will attract an additional tariff. Any persons exceeding the maximum occupancy of the property will be considered trespassers and will be evicted.

 11. CHECK IN & CHECK OUT
Standard check in time is 2.00 pm on the day of arrival and the room is to be vacated by 10.00 am on the day of departure. An additional fee may be charged if you do not check out by 10.00 am. Early arrivals and late check outs are at the discretion of Management and must be requested at the time of booking. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate early arrivals and late departures, the only way to absolutely ensure early check-in or late check-out is to book an extra night or half day where availability permits. Half day rates are charged at 50% of the nightly tariff and will extend the check out time until 4:00 pm and allow an early check in from 10:00 am.

 12. PERSONAL BELONGINGS
You acknowledge that we do not cover your personal belongings under our insurance policy and therefore take no responsibility for any loss or damage of the occupants personal property left on the premises and agree that you will not make any claim against us for any damages or loss to your personal belongings regardless of how or where the loss or damage occurred.

13. LOCKOUTS & LOSS OF KEYS
Loss of keys will incur a $95.00 replacement charge.

 14. LIABILITIES
You acknowledge that we do not accept liability for any injury, damage, loss, additional expenses and disruptions due to electrical storms or other acts of God caused directly or indirectly by events, which are beyond our control and agree not to make any claim in relation thereto.

 15. FREE WiFi ACCESS:
Access to our WiFi is free for our registered guests. The hotel WiFi access code is subject to change without notice. WiFi signals are subject to change without notice depending on the room’s location, the status of our WiFi-equipment, and interference from other local wireless signals. The Hillview Motel assumes no liability for guest use.
 
16. IN CASE OF EMERGENCY OR FIRE:
Please notify Front Desk in the event of a fire or other emergency. A map that shows emergency exits can be found on the back of your room door and in the Guest Information Notebook located in each guest room.

 17. FIRE SAFETY POLICY:
The hotel is fully equipped with smoke detectors, fire safety information in Guest Room Notebook, and emergency evacuation plans on the door of each guest room. Please review this important information.

 18. NO TENANCY
You agree that regardless of your length of stay in there is no tenancy or other rights created under any Landlord and Tenant laws and there are no such laws that apply to your stay.

 19. ALCOHOL POLICY:
Registered guests of legal age who choose to bring their own alcoholic beverages must consume those in their room. Alcohol is not allowed in public areas. Alcohol consumed during special events served by a licensed caterer with permit to serve/sale alcohol is restricted to those 18 years old or older (valid photo identification required) and can only be consumed at that event venue.

 20. LOST & FOUND POLICY:
Hillview Motel assumes no liability for lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged valuables or belongings. If you discover that you have left behind something of value to you, please call us immediately (07) 4787 1973 and we will try to assist you in locating your lost item.

 21. FOUND ITEMS:
Hillview Motel is not responsible for any item left behind by a guest. However, any item, with the exception of perishable items, left behind by our guests and found after departure by Housekeeping will be collected, logged in, and kept in a secure location for collection by the owner for up to fourteen (14) days. Records of Lost & Found items are retained for five years. Reasonable effort will be made to notify the guest that an item has found. Perishable items, underwear, and miscellaneous toiletries are discarded.

22. RETURN:
We would be happy to return your lost item(s) to you by Australian post. Your credit card will be charged packaging and postage, plus a $10.00 handling fee. A separate receipt will be mailed to you. Hillview Motel is not responsible for any item lost or misdirected during shipment by the Australian Post Service.

 23. HOUSEKEEPING/ROOM INSPECTION:
Housekeeping is provided daily between the hours of 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Housekeeping may start as early as 6 a.m. during peak season. This is a 100 % NON-SMOKING Motel, including medical marijuana. Rooms are cleaned and inspected daily and a detailed log is maintained on each room and linen. Rooms are rented to guests in appropriate condition without any prohibited odor. Housekeeping and Front Desk staff are trained and skilled in identifying the odors from prohibited items. If our investigation concludes that you have smoked in your room, or brought a prohibited item into our facility, you will be fined, and evicted without any refund.

 24. LINEN CHANGING:
 Your comfort is very important to us. For guests staying multiples nights, bed linen is changed on a rotation schedule. Used towels are exchanged for fresh towels daily. If Housekeeping is unable to change a bed due to personal items left on a bed, a note will be left. Housekeeping will be happy to change your bed linens and make your beds each day if all personal items are removed. Please contact our Front Desk staff if you have any additional questions or concerns.

25. CHILDREN
Children of all ages are welcomed. Children aged 12 and under stay for free when sharing a room with one or more paying adult(s), using existing bedding. As the parents, guardians, or chaperones of children you are personally and legally responsible for and must supervise them at all time. For safety reasons, please do not leave children unattended in guest rooms or allow them to roam the hotel property unsupervised. Children under the age of 15 are not allowed in the pool area without being accompanied and supervised by their parent/guardian/chaperone.

26. ADDITIONAL BEDDING:
A limited number of rollaway beds and baby cribs are available upon request. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis for a King room or Suite only. The charge is $5.00 each, plus tax per night. Maximum capacity of baby crib or rollaway is one (1) per room. Rollaway beds are not allowed in a Standard Queen room. For safety, pillows are not provided for cribs.

27. BREACH OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
You agree that, should you or your guests breach any of the terms and conditions:You will pay to us the total loss or damage that we suffer as a result of that breach and hereby authorise us to debit your credit card or apply your refundable deposit in payment of that loss or damage and we may evict you and your guests without notice.
